Had my 1st run in with the ATF when i was fresh out of the marine corps. They robbed me of 40000 dollars worth of gear, and didn't charge me with anything. They showed up at 4am and kept me in the back of a cop car until 11am because of something my roommate was allegedly involved with that had absolutely nothing to do with me. They still took everything they could from my possessions. Their dog fell through my attic, and they ripped holes in my wall. They showed up with local pd and armored vehicles with multiple swat teams.
Bottom line is we gun owners literally have to live like we are in the french resistance during german occupied France. All i can advise you all to do is to not, i repeat, DO NOT keep all your gear under 1 roof. Disperse it strategically throughout your town, city, or land. Burry them if you have to, but mark my words you need to prepare for them to come because more than likely they will. Especially nowadays when both Republicans and democrats fund and use the atf.

The only way he will see his stuff again is to watch the dash cam video of the illegal confiscation. Sad state of affairs. If you really want to get mad at government BS, check out “civil asset forfeiture” in Google and TH-cam. Many states here in the USA have laws on the books where police can take your stuff just because they think you may be a criminal. Even if they never actually charge you with a crime, they still get to keep your stuff and you have to spend money to sue them to get it back.

Not many people have the resources and clout to pay attorneys and defend themselves from reprisal harassment for YEARS in a case that's probably going to lose anyway.

@@venomousgas3300 I don’t disagree. But getting a criminal case going against an ATF agent would be almost impossible. A few years back, I had a former employee driving home from Texas in a rented car. He was stopped for speeding by the state police. He had extended the number of days that he had leased the car and was showing on paper. The police used the technicality of the end lease date to search the vehicle. In searching the vehicle, they found his fire arms, which were properly unloaded and stowed, but they made up a case and arrested him anyway. Of course, the case was acquitted, and he filed suit against those policeman. His attorneys, knowing that it would be very difficult. So the attorneys, knowing this weren’t aggressive in pursuing the police during this suit, and the judge was more sympathetic to the police rather than the guy that they arrested wrongly. Anyone who thinks there is justice in America today even without considering race would be unequivocally wrong. The sad part is that today is injustice in political systems. You are judged more by the group that you are affiliated with than your actions. As George Orwell is quoted: “All animals are equal. Just some animals are more equal than others”.

@@stantonkramer2986 That is really sad, and at the same time, infuriating to hear. But you are right. It hasn't been about justice, in so long. I remember reading about somebody (I can't remember where I read it, possibly in a comment on YT somewhere), that wanted to be a lawyer, so they enrolled in law classes. They walked out when the instructor said "We don't teach justice here, we teach law." A phrase I like to use it "Legality is not a guide to morality," and it's true.
Not all police and LEO are this way, thankfully. I have met a few that stand firmly with the 2A. I mentioned one of these officers in another comment reply (that has since been removed even after having over 2,000 likes and a long discussion about the ATF and their ][ll egal and T®ea s0n 0u$ behavior.)
Before the decriminalization of cannabis in California, I worked at 1 of 15 Federally-backed and legal growing operations in my county. This company I worked for was a first year company that had, pretty much no security force, and worked primarily with a skeleton crew. On my first day as a trimmer, there were perimeter alarms tripped, and I was asked to participate in security operations. I agreed... and was handed a 3-round, plugged hunting 12 gauge. This in itself was not legal because having a firearm near cannabis is considered a federal offense. I thank my lucky stars that we didn't meet who tripped the alarms that day. A few weeks later they were caught on trailcams. It was a two trucks with guys armed with AK47's and the like. We took this footage to the sheriff, who then told us there was nothing he could do, and followed up with the words "I didn't tell you this, but GET BIGGER GUNS."
Not only having firearms adjacent to the product being a federal offense, this being a federally-backed operation, having illegal firearms adjacent would be even worse, and the owners would have faced serious charges. Unfortunately because of this, they were forced to sell their company, and property and moved out of state. 2A infringements directly resulted in their inability to defend their home, property, and livelihood. I wish they would have stayed, and brought this to federal court. It's possible they could have made a difference.

I'm a retired police officer and had something very similar to this happen to me. My house was broken into, an 4 handguns were stolen. One of which was a .40cal Beretta that I carried on duty. The weapon was eventually recovered by th atf after about 2yrs. I filled out all of the paperwork required by the atf to have the weapon returned to me. I was told by the agent in charge that it had to remain in evidence until after the trial. After a year I called and asked for my weapon back. I was told that the weapon still had to be held pending appeals by the defendant. Fast forward to after the appeals process, and contact the agent and asked for my weapon to be returned. The agent blew me off and wasn't returning my calls. I went to the local office where I spoke to a different agent. Approximately 3 days later I received a call from the agent, he told me that the prosecutor had to release the weapon. When it was stolen AND recovered it was loaded. The magazine was marked by the manufacturer FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT USE ONLY. I asked about it and the ammo. I was told they couldn't return the ammo to me because it didn't have serial numbers, and that they didn't get the magazine when it was recovered. When it was recovered I got a call from an officer that was on scene, who I knew, asking me about the weapon. I verified that it was in fact still in the computer as stolen. He told me that the weapon was in fact loaded when recovered. After all is said and done I started calling the prosecutor once a month, then twice a month, it got to the point where I was calling 3 times a week. After about 2 to 3 weeks of this (never once spoke to the prosecutor), the agent calls me and tells me that I can pickup my weapon. When I picked it up, I again asked about the magazine, I was told that they didn't have it and that I was lucky to even be getting it back. I decided to cut my losses and signed for the weapon and leave. Once I had it in my possession, I told the agent exactly what I thought of him and his "professionalism". I asked him how long he'd been in law enforcement to which he replied 10yrs. I retired after 20yrs, I called him a rookie and walked out, he didn't like that. This whole process from when my house was broken into till I got the weapon returned was app. 4yrs. I've lost a lot of respect for the atf.

The ATF doesn't deserve ANYONE's respect to include the boots on the ground guys. They're complicit in the criminal behavior of their 2A hating superiors.

Never should've respected them to begin with. Their whole existence is primarily taking people's 2nd amendment rights away from them illegally in most cases. Too much bastardization of our constitutional rights is committed by these pieces of crap on a daily basis.

The federal government can ruin any one of us law abiding citizens lives in a second. Thanks for putting this out there. Also if someone says they are under investigation by the ATF or any other extra constitutional department EPA for instance, leave right then.
