Is a 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye the better muscle car than a Super Stock?

- The Hellcat Redeye pushes the performance of the Challenger to new levels but Dodge never settles. Under the hood is a 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 that is pumping out 797HP & mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The new for 2021 SRT Super Stock has the same engine and transmission but bumps up the power to 807HP. On the outside and inside there are many similarities between the two but even though the Redeye has less HP is it the better muscle car for the street?

I’m here finally, sorry for being late. I absolutely love the this Hellcat-Redeye-Widebody , these are literally one of my favorite vehicle ever. They are just so beautiful, powerful and just a absolutely goat on the road.
I love this video simply because of how detailed it is how he goes in depth about the car he knows what he’s talking about and most importantly he is not biased he himself said there’s things that Dodge can change he is not just saying the good stuff to make us buy the car and the color is ☺️☺️☺️

I love the redeye so much my father has a 2019 redeye the first year they started making them and let me tell you it’s such a beast. It has the hood pins it’s optioned out in tor red with the satin black hood roof and trunk

Love your excitement when you are reviewing these muscle cars. I bought a new Challenger Redeye two weeks ago but before I did I watched all of your reviews on the Challengers to educate myself so I new exactly what I wanted. And if I wasn't such a die hard drag strip Dodge guy I would have bought a GT350. It must be an incredible ride, hopefully I will get to drive one some day. Thanks for all of your hard work, keep the vids coming and on throttle!
Consider yourself lucky. My GT350 engine died, like so many of them out there. So I'm in a redeye widebody now :)

With Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis saying the days of V8s coming to an end, you really got to appreciate Chrysler-Dodge for giving us a last hoorah with great horsepower to value ratio, extremely high horsepower on STOCK engines! Now for some ON THROTTLE!

I love the Dodge Charger/Challenger vehicles but they need a refresh in the interior on both models. Imagine what those cars could do with all the tech that’s available now. LED dash and other enhancements and I’ll bet you couldn’t make them fast enough. Love that smile on your face during the test drive.
Well I did it Friday night. I trade it in my 2019 challenger scat pack widebody in on a 2021 challenger SRT hellcat redeye widebody. Man I love it

Great review as usual. I have a question about the suspension on the Redeye and Super Stock. I have read a few articles that stated the suspension on the Redeye and Super Stock is the same and they both handle the same in auto and sport mode. Supposedly the only difference is the track mode for the SS is more for the drag strip and has the weight transfer setup like the Demon while the track mode for the Redeye was more for a road course. I was just wondering if you have any info on this because I was thing of trading my '19 Redeye WB in for a '21 SS.
Great job on the Hemi rocket. That two tone color is precisely the color I would have. That whine though is music to my ears. I would rather have a manual though. That would be the perfect Red Eye Widebody Hellcat!

This is definitely a better daily driver than the Super Stock. I wish for the price they could get the front bumper to line up with the fender flares and have power passenger seat. Love the color comb. Silver with red interior is my fave. Thanks for the ride Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Hate to say it but none of these high horsepower muscle cars are going to be nothing but tire spinners until they make all wheel drive systems, they are maxxed out

@@GLHS592 they need to remake the 392 into aluminum and make it pump out over 500 hp. The 392 hemi crate with direct injection makes 525 hp and 515 tq. Or they need to make a NA 7 liter hemi since tye supercharged version can't pass emissions
They need to cone up with an optional ALL WHEEL DRIVE..with all this power, figure out a way to put it down. The price should be maxed @ $80k..nice video JOE and Lori

Hey boss, in the 2021 challenger RedEye and the a post on the passenger side isn't suede it's a shitty fabric material but everything else is suede including the drivers side a post but the dealership is apparently saying I ordered this way which I highly doubt think it was a mix up can u let me know or if anyone else has seen this in the interior thanks!

Which would brake better super stock since it’s lighter but looses 6 piston brakes or redeye that has 6 piston brakes but heavier?
Only the driver side hood scoop is functional. The passenger side isn't along with the passenger side intake headlight. The ducting under the hood is only connected the the driver side hood scoop

As I recall how that headlights only the one on the driver side goes through to anywhere the one on the left does not plugged off

It needs an aftermarket exhaust. Stock exhaust is too muffled. Camaro and Mustang stock exhaust sounds better.
God I want one of these things so bad, I want either a red one or a blue one. It won’t be my everyday car tho I’d have a truck for that but this would be the fun weekend car that would be driven probably 3+ times a week during the summer time lol. You already have a lot of power so what I’d probably do is better tires, window tint, and a exhaust maybe some nice wheels and a few other things but those would be the main focus.

I will get my RT ScatPack shaker widebody in 2022. Just because it is more affordable than SRT line up
I would've like the extra 10 HP, but I decided to get the regular Redeye over the Super Stock because drag radials are crap tires unless you're going straight on dry pavement. They're not even recommended for highway use (because of rapid wear).
Why do they make an AWD for V6 but not for the 800-HP monster??

It's not just the tires that limited its top speed, they have them tuned to 168 and demon is the same way. We know they are drag focused and do not need a high top end, so there's more to it than just tires and flares. No my guy, the sperstock does not make more than demon on pump gas and is 1hp less. They would not step on demon like that, and purposely gave the Sstock less to retain the Ds exclusiveness. It's a badass sinister mechine, and is just so sick with the wide look. They really do need to get rid of those shop vac tips, and replaced the ones on mine with staggered quads surrounded in carbon and looks so much better. I really like it that they printed SRT on the brembos, and is a cool touch for sure. Yeah the air induction in the headlights is an awesome idea, and recently did the conversion on my SRT8. They turned out very well and really updated the front end nicly, so recommend them to anyone with an 08-15 challenger and is one of the best mods that weve done so far. It wasn't just for the aesthetics and actually mainly did them for the air holes, they really cool off the engine bay and am so glad that we could get it done
I doubt I'll ever drive one, but if I had the chance, HELL YEAH! Don't worry, I wouldn't get too silly with it.
You should start recording the supercharger when you record the exhaust sound as well from now on for any hellcat plsss!!!!!
On my channel I have 2019 I take to the dragstrip all the time with racestar rears with Mickey's on the back ut has been 10.35@132 and its stock with 2.62 gear
The 2020 Redeye Widebody is absolute perfection. You can tell the difference by looking at the spoiler.

Will be cool to have one video about the base car, then small video about the change for each version you can find. So we as viewer do not get bore of the same thing.
Talking about MPG: my 4cyl wrx sti average at about 11mpg city; 18mpg highway with that tiny engine. Its crazy.

Still something about the Hellcat makes me feel like it's the coolest muscle car.. It isn't the sportiest, it might not even look the best .. but the room you get, the livability of it.. You even look cool in there driving it.. It really looks like you're driving an old school cool car like a 60's corvette or something. .. very masculine vehicle..

The right headlight inlet is capped unfortunately. I have to remove mine and it is pain in the butt to remove it. The passenger hood scoop is kinda useless. I read online that there is a dime sized hole between connecting the passenger side intake to the driver side intake. I prefer the demon hood over the twin snorkel hood. I think it would be better if they use the charger red-eye hood as the hood for the red-eye Challenger. Also the 797hp is ecu calibration and not the hood.
