I would like to see the pros and cons of adding twin turbo the Hellcat platform as compound boost or strictly turbo. And, the addition of a larger blower I currently have a 2017 1000 HP build of yours and still running strong. Reliability is key and I don't a lot of others who have jumped into this market care as much about the reliability factor.....just make fast regardless. If reliability is sacrificed with addition of turbos ??? I think it is impressive to be able to drive a highly modified car daily and have it hold.....got to hand it to you. Rock solid.
Great channel and nice job of explaining differences. It is my understanding that the Demon 168 mph top speed limiter is lifted once the race ecu is installed. I've seen a couple of TH-cam videos showing the Demon top speed to be over 210mph ...which is insane for a brick in the wind.

Amazing job explaining the differences. I thought it was only a pcm tune that made it faster than the regular Hellcat. Very easy to understand, and I like the staging setup. Very good overall. Keep the the great work 👍🏼
Good information based upon factory tires, and your absolutely right, Redeye's have WAY too much power for the little 275/40R20 tires the regular body comes with. But if you installed the same size sticky rear tires on both cars the regular body wins everytime due to being much lighter with the exact same drivetrain. I understand this was a very accurate stock-to-stock comparison, but a simple easy tire swap fixes the regular body traction issues... and the only reason the widebody is faster. True, the 11" wide wheels will stick out, and while not good on the street, many cars run that way at the track. I would like the widebody's a whole lot better if the fender flares didn't look like afterthought add on's; I just personally have never cared for them. But hey, they make both so everybody can be happy!
This video answered every question I had in mind.... Still wanna ask one question out of curiosity.... What's your favourite between Hellcat Redeye and Demon!?

I love that Indigo Blue. If I ever get the money to get a Challenger(of any model type) I'd have to look in the Used section to get one in that color now. Hate how they removed that color for the 23 model year.
ZL1/1LE guy here, But I give it to dodge there blowing everything out the water in a straight line out the box. If I could afford another ride, I just might buy one.
But sense you are asking the higher rear end which is the lower number being the 2.62 is possibly better for gas cruising at 75 mph and for top speed if you have the power to use it vs the lower rear end with the higher number being 3.09 will have a faster acceleration but less top end typically but with 800hp your top end is going g to pull through those gears regardless with a 8 speed auto. When you have a 8 speed transmission it keeps the car in the torque the whole time as well and is the reasoning you don't have to have rear ends like older cars like he said with 3.73-4.10's but there are added reasons besides just the transmission. Most blower cars and turbo cars alike have so much more power and torque they can use a taller gear and run faster with it as they have the power to push the car through that gear. Not only that but with all that horsepower off the line you can get better traction with a taller gear as it's a little harder to turn the tires the taller the gear but at 800hp, give it up. The car needs true slicks!
This was so informational. I am looking to buy a Redeye or super stock but I have no clue what the real difference are. Can you do one of these vids about a super stock with all your knowledge compared to a demon and Redeye ?

Bro, this was an awesome video. Of course it’s everything we’ve heard before but it was about 10-15 videos put into a very thought out informative video with some much needed education over other videos. Ok now , I’m confused on what to buy. I’ve been going back and forth over a redeye or a Hellcat widebodies. Getting a 2020 and have been waiting just a little bit to see (i have a feeling) if they announce a special edition Challenger this spring along with a special model Charger, which I’m getting my wife the Charger. So yeah , if they come out with a special edition Challenger now I’ll have 3 to choose from with the redeye and the hellcat Challenger. I may customize(theme) the crap out them (my wife’s and mine) and start a channel. Very interesting learning the hellcat and the redeye do about the same because of the traction issues. So i kind of need your opinion or anyone’s. Money isn’t an issue so eliminate that part. I will probably take it to the track a very little bit. Not really my thing but cool to do it once and and awhile. So should i get the Hellcat or the redeye for the channel and customizing this thing with a theme and some mods? As far as driving them where i live there isn’t enough room for speeds that the redeye would be able to pull away. But i still feel like the redeye would just be more durable for goofing around and doing light mods, but after this video I’m not sure why a Hellcat wouldn’t be enough. Do we just buy the redeye because it’s stronger more reliable and for bragging rights ? Or is the wide body Hellcat pretty much just going to give the redeyes around town a run for their money. Last question, so would you have the 309 rear end put on either the redeye or hellcat just to have it ? Again money not an issue. So what are you buying ? Sounds like now that the regular hellcat could be tweaked a little and give most of the mostly stock redeyes an issue around my town. But then again what am i losing by not having the redeye? Great video man!
I bought a hellcat redeye what a mistake! The thing was definitely not a street car great for the dragstrip it horrible on the street I don’t think I kept it six months and got rid of it.
I got a Redeye and it's the best damn street car I've ever purchased. Not one single complaint. I traded a Cadillac CTS-V for the Redeye and had a BMW M-5 before that and the Redeye shits all over both those cars. Scary fast and just love how people point and stare at the red light while driving it. Car is menacing and people get out of the way when you're roaring down the road. Even the cops look.
A Demon shows up regularly at SGMP. Best pass I've seen has been 1.41 60' and 10.15@132. That's with all of the crate stuff and on 100 octane. This was just a couple weeks ago. Not sure what's holding it back compared to the one that supposedly ran 9.65@140 but that's a helluva difference. I could see the ET being off a little but 8mph....

Add race gave another .1 so on there track it was a 10.4-10.5 car I've seen more run 10.50's then 10.0's And only a handful ever hit a 9.95 stock in awesome DA.
Good explanation....I knew pretty well all of this anyway....friend of mine bought a 2016 Hellcat and made a pulley change, produced about 820 Horses. Too bad the N/A Challenger(s) are somewhat neglected. The 485 horse 6.4's are pretty well all you need on the street. I'm building a 7 litre Gen 3 for a drag car we are fabricating....one difference....using a cross ram with carbs, old school style. Much more of a challenge...One thing....Mopar really needs to cut the weight out of the Hellcat....4400 pounds is just ridiculous.
5:50 "You can not get a manual transmission in a Hellcat" later on... 5:59 "I want a manual gearbox, then a Hellcat might be a better choice for you" I think at 5:50, you meant to say You can not get a manual transmission in a Redeye.
But still good Redeye Review! learned a lot of differences from a Hellcat, Redeye, and a Demon!
Thanks for the input
Would you do a segment on making the Hellcat Redeye Super Stock into a "Track" car?
I just got my 2020challenger hellcat redeye two days ago still in break in period i love my redeye

I just bought 1 in Indigo Blue for $15,000 off sticker. Cant wait for the strip to open. Already got Drag radials and Demon rear wheels.
