- One of my amazing subscribers was kind enough to let me do a full review on his 2021 Dodge Challenger Super Stock. This car is leagues different than the Hellcat Redeye of which it is based, taking parts from the Demon, the Super Stock proves to be well sorted cruiser with some serious attitude.

Dude… SO AWESOME!!! I’m 27, work full time for Southwest Airlines and they happen to let you work as much as you freaking want.. I’m going to bust my butt for a year, long days, so by next year on my 29th I’ll be sitting behind that wheel feeling that grip & 807 HP. I just fell in love with the Super Stock.

Shoutout to Greg for letting you drive the car and get some seat time!!! His car definitely seemed a lot softer on camera.. With everything you felt would you ever consider putting the demon springs or the aftermarket demon killer springs in your red eye considering how much racing you do??
Yes the springs are on my list for when I start the mods!
They are Demon brakes wheels and tire sizes.

High Horse Performance is just over the border in Delaware and there are a few guys down in Virginia if you don’t mind the trip. But in Maryland itself there aren’t many well known/trusted Mopar tuners.

Awesome video--not that I'm biased or anything! Great info as well on the screens etc. Also did not realize that about the torque reserve, but mine is still at 150 miles and I'm trying to follow the break in per the manual. Did you notice the inside being a bit louder than your Redeye or does it sound the same? I.e. your comment about possible less sound deadening like the Demon.
About the same honestly, but my car has the rear seat delete and this one didn’t so that might be why it balanced out some.

Dodge: Adds every option possible
Also Dodge: decides to save weight on the one thing you really need
Brakes aren’t to actually save weight. They need to be smaller to fit the 18” wheels for the drag radials. They aren’t even small TBH been reading a bunch of reviews and articles. It has plenty of stopping power. I’m sure you wouldn’t wanna road rally it but they do stop the vehicle plenty.
cant fit the big breaks on the 18 inch wheel its not for weight
Hoping to get a new 2022 Super Stock this year. Missed out on when the Demon was in production. At least, the Super Stock is the next best similar performance new Mopar car in production. Also, love the sound it makes when you accelerate! How long do those tires last on regular road use if you don't do burn outs and don't take it to the track?
I would say you would probably get between 5-10k miles if you are gentle on the tires in just regular street driving.

I wonder why the wheels are all on backwards, going opposite of the rotation direction, its written right there on the tires,right with directional arrows..and you can see it in the thread design.,maybe it was an oversight .just my observation

Hi Mr. Sauer....with the smaller front brakes does this SS also have a speed limit to 164mph the way the Demon does? Thanks
I believe they do, but if my memory serves correct... there is an option that you can select when you order the car to remove it.
@@SauerHorsepower Thanks...FYI- found out that the "Additional Mechanical Option" in the powertrain section of the build/price it Dodge webpage for the "High Speed Engine Controller" is no longer an option it's standard and the kicker....it limits the speed to 168mph. It took a while to put the story together but finally got a verification thru local dealer. It's the wheel tire brake combo that is limiting...same story with Demon
Looks like tires are mounted on the wrong side of the car, LF sidewall says RIGHT>>>>>. Tire is directional.
Is this Lock Raven Reservoir or Prettyboy Reservoir? Look like one or the other. I spent may years of misguided youth running my fast cars on the roads around both and many more places in North Eastern Maryland...

I thought the purpose of the smaller brakes was to be able to fit the demon wheels, not so much for weight. I admittedly am no expert though.
Both the wheels and weight are why Dodge decided to go with the smaller brakes.
@@SauerHorsepower So I was just on the Mopar store and they offer a big brake kit, will that fit with the Super Stock wheels?
Why doesn't my 2020 Frostbite Scat Pack Widebody look as sexy?
I am surprised that the rotors aren't slotted like the redeye.
The 2020's had slotted rotors, but 2021 got the lighter billet monoblock calipers like the Demon and for some reason got the plain rotors along with it.
The super stock seems to be a nice car!

So which one do you like better, your Redeye or your subscriber's Super Stock? Which one would you buy at the dealership if you had the choice?
It really depends on what you plan to use the car for... if you just want to cruise around on the street and go to the drag strip, the super stock is the better choice (although it comes with a price premium).... if you like spirited driving on back roads or want better overall handling and you are willing to sacrifice just a bit of time in the 1/4 mile, the narrow body redeye is the better choice. If I had to choose again I might have gone with the super stock... but that is because I have other cars now to do my backroads driving/road course stuff with, at the time I bought the Narrow body I did not. Even though I say that I still love the narrow body redeye and don’t regret it one bit.
Love the car don’t like the baby poop 💩 interior lol I believe the smaller brakes are for skinny’s for the front not weight savings
i got a 2020 or a 2021 super stock and willing to race a Hellcat I think i’m going to lose i don’t know

Could’ve happened at the dealer during the pre-delivery inspection, not sure though.

Biggest drawback on the Super Sport are those 4 piston brakes. In GT driving, 4 piston brakes on a Hellcat simply won't cut it.
you’ll be fine without those two pistons. is not like ur gonna be running lap times with this car any ways
@@GB2G Its not about lap times. Its about stopping that bish. While street racing, if you see police parked in the cut, you will wish you had six piston brakes.
@@pharoahmonk50 while steering racing, if u see police in the cut u hit the gas the not the brakes. especially when u got 800 horses under the hood😂
New at 11 News...lol They definitely won't be able to catch you in anything that's forced induction. (ZL1, GT500, or hellcat). That's when they have to scramble up the police helicopter. Because you will definitely smoke the flat foots driving in a cruiser. Haha!
@@pharoahmonk50 hellcats have smoked the heli too. Just make sure u got a full tank or at least 3/4
