Just Incredible! Way back in the early 80s me and my buddies in high school auto shop would talk about muscle cars, what was, what used to be and what we thought the future would be. Nobody would ever have believed you’d be able to buy a 10 sec Dodge Challenger! Used to think that the golden age of muscle cars was the late 60s/early 70s, nope, it’s right now! The big 3 all have players in the game and there’s even used ones available for less money too. What more could you ask for?! Love it!
The sad thing about that 200 for model year 2020 is that most of them will likely end up in a collector's garage instead of being used for their intended purpose. Drive the car!
Dodge Challenger is one of the muscle car that deploys the blend of both retro and modern designing at the same time. It's really beautiful. However I think FCA should have thought about using Carbon Fibre for some of its body parts to reduce weight. Awesome review as usual. You are really on fire presenting these reviews. Keep up the good work 👍. So I beleive the next car will be the Jeep Wrangler . Right?
I think "Super Stock" badges would be a little too close to the camaro's "SS" madge and maybe thats why they didn't put a badge that said "SS" and kept the hellcat badge
Dodge is so smart for not caving in to critics demands so worried about changing the body style. Dodge just did little tweaks throughout the way, and focused on performance, tech, comfort, and pure badassery!

Ran first 10 sec pass...10.91 at 125 MPH in my stock Hellcat on Mickey Thompson drag radials. Pretty sure this baby can run low 10s high 9s depending on weather, tires, other small variables

Strange how it has a Hellcat logo but it isn’t a Hellcat or Redeye, like I understand it’s basically an upgraded Redeye but it’s just interesting how they named it Super Stock and put a Hellcat logo on it 🤔
@Joe...the way I see it is it being similar to what I was trying to explain to someone else in a separate thread regarding the challenger demon stats. I made the comment that all the dodge demon is, is a modded out challenger platform car. His response to me was almost equivalent to a scorching earth tirade. He's like "By no means is the dodge demon modded!!!!" I was like calm down guy; your missing my point. The car is just an IN-HOUSE modded out challenger platform with a demon badge slapped on the final results. That's no different than Joey six-pack DIY modding out his earlier year hellcat or redeye via third party add-ons; but less the new car model designation. But ay, what do with expect with today's "instant satisfaction". So if 800hp+ didn't come directly from the factory, well then 800hp+ via aftermarket modds is illegitimate. Do you want to by $85k+ now or pay an addition $20-30K later to reach your 800hp+ goal?
I swear, the Dodge Challenger is literally exactly what a muscle car is. It’s huge, it’s wide and thick. I don’t care what you say about camaros and mustangs, the challenger is the best looking modern muscle car. Dodge is making the only true muscle cars. Chevy and Ford are making sport cars with a V8.

Fun fact - the passenger side hood and headlight air intake are NOT functional on the 2019+ challenger models with the dual hood scoop. Even on the demon, the entire hood scoop is functional but the passenger side headlight air intake is capped off
I feel like the hellcat engine will be as common as a 5.3 silverado engine in a few years im pretty excited for what everyones build will preform if what i said does come true
My Dad's Demon is same color. I never fully got the full appreciation for the gold flake until one day we were hitting it with Mother's Instant Detailer, and it was dusk. In Person it just POPS like crazy!
Raiti I think this Super Stock is better than the Demon how could I say that? Running on pump gas instead of racing fuel. If these two cars pull up on a stop light. The Super Stock will take it if the demon doesn’t have racing.

I totally agree on the interior design but if you look at Dodge numbers in sales these cars is flying off the shelf people moreso want the motor more than the design of car and interior🤷🏾♂️ I'm a Chevy fan but once they change the Camaro design sales dropped and now the Camaro is being discontinued. I guess Dodge said if it ain't broke don't fix it👍🏾
Turbo 6 yeah the only thing is the engine but that why if you buy a dodge the value of the car doesn’t go up it not even worth being a collection unless it’s a demon that only because it was a limited production car

A Drag Race between the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock VS the 2020 Tesla Model S Dual Motor Raven Performance with Cheetah Mode would be so fun to watch because they do similar times and are polar opposites. One is a family sedan with 4 doors and no emissions and one is a American muscle car that is so loud that the whole city can hear it.
Just ordered a wide body hellcat red eye. I was debating for hours if I should get the super stock but I’m happy with my decision. I went with a black one. Red interior. Better sound system option and all the upgrades. Should be fun

Chrysler now, just like Chrysler back in the day. Pretty good tech, good looks and good power. Talk to me in 2 years when it's falling apart and the trans is in the trunk on a flatbed. Thanks for the drag racing tip, too. Never knew that you go on "yellow". Someone must have yelled to him once, right before he pre-staged, "GO ON YELLOW...NOT ON GREEN"! I'll never forget that...I'll mention it every time so it sounds like I know what I'm talking about.

I used to think that too. But they are are stepping their interior game up, just not in the actual Dodge cars. At least for now. Look at the Ram Interior vs the field of trucks. Ram has quickly gained the reputation of best quality interior in the truck game. Now the grand wagoneer and Jeep are staring to do the same. Perhaps the next gen of Dodge cars and the Pacifica will get the same treatment. For now though, yes the interior in the challenger is complete trash lol
I don't know why they couldn't at least just do an interior redesign. It's always all or nothing. Seems like it would be easy. Even cheap passenger cars have nicer looking interiors. It is comfortable though.
@@Jeremy_810 well look at Kia and Huyndai, all of their cheap models have been all redesigned. I would have considered an R/T scatback if the interior looks a bit different. They could just refresh it a bit and still keep that muscle looking. I think we gotta wait another 5-6 years to see a change in interior from the challenger

A Drag Race between the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock VS the 2020 Tesla Model S Dual Motor Raven Performance with Cheetah Mode would be so fun to watch because they do similar times and are polar opposites. One is a family sedan with 4 doors and no emissions and one is a American muscle car that is so loud that the whole city can hear it.
I am going Challenger and i don't even car who would win.

Just ordered a wide body hellcat red eye. I was debating for hours if I should get the super stock but I’m happy with my decision. I went with a black one. Red interior. Better sound system option and all the upgrades. Should be fun

Chrysler now, just like Chrysler back in the day. Pretty good tech, good looks and good power. Talk to me in 2 years when it's falling apart and the trans is in the trunk on a flatbed. Thanks for the drag racing tip, too. Never knew that you go on "yellow". Someone must have yelled to him once, right before he pre-staged, "GO ON YELLOW...NOT ON GREEN"! I'll never forget that...I'll mention it every time so it sounds like I know what I'm talking about.

Dodge is pretty much selling engines. The same damn car every years same interior just diff styles motors. 80k for the same damn body style for damn nare 11 years pShhH rip off
A lot of car companies do that unfortunately, for me, all BMW's look the same (especially the interior).

I used to think that too. But they are are stepping their interior game up, just not in the actual Dodge cars. At least for now. Look at the Ram Interior vs the field of trucks. Ram has quickly gained the reputation of best quality interior in the truck game. Now the grand wagoneer and Jeep are staring to do the same. Perhaps the next gen of Dodge cars and the Pacifica will get the same treatment. For now though, yes the interior in the challenger is complete trash lol

I don't know why they couldn't at least just do an interior redesign. It's always all or nothing. Seems like it would be easy. Even cheap passenger cars have nicer looking interiors. It is comfortable though.
@@Jeremy_810 well look at Kia and Huyndai, all of their cheap models have been all redesigned. I would have considered an R/T scatback if the interior looks a bit different. They could just refresh it a bit and still keep that muscle looking. I think we gotta wait another 5-6 years to see a change in interior from the challenger

You can fit a 325/45r18 hoosiers on the rear with no issues so save those rear 315/40r18 for the front.
