Hi Paul, just a minor point - we don’t have a current version of PowerPoint on our ProPresenter Windows PC, and I’ve still been able to import PowerPoint presentations into ProPresenter. And the PowerPoint window didn’t open up like it did in your demonstration.

Good to know. I think, if I remember correctly, that the Windows version uses PowerPoint viewer, so that might be part of what you're seeing. I should have said as much.

Would you mind letting me know how you're accomplishing Family Feud in Propresenter. My Church has been requesting it and I don't know where to start.

I just built jeopardy (version 17 and newer are gonna make this easier b/c you can have collections of prop, which is what you need to use). Basically, you have the background of the game board and put the answers in each of the slots. Then, you cover those with props and click on the appropriate prop to make it go away at the right time, revealing the answer.

Just wanted to let you know that I am on the Mac M1 (not that it may make any difference) anyway I am able to import PowerPoint's even with the Free (Read Only version) of PowerPoint .. I am glad I didn't have to pay to be able to do that or find another solution.

I have a random question: using an NDI from propresenter 7 to OBS. We have a pre service video that I want to display on the live stream, but I also don't want our backgrounds during the songs to display onto OBS, (because it blocks the whole view) is there a way to do both?

Yep. Looks can have multiple presets, so you can have one for your NDI screen that shows the media layer (and changes to it automatically using an action or macro) and another that doesn’t (changing to it automatically on a certain slide, the same way).

@@PaulClifford Hi Paul, i'm using 2 theme, the first theme is for displaying lyrics on my LED wall, the second theme is used to scale down the lyrics for streaming lower third. when i use 7.13 version, when i clicked the powerpoint slides, the powerpoint slides is automatically disappear in my NDI stream lower third it is only display nothing but green screen. but now in 7.15 when i clicked the powerpoint slides, the entire lyrics output displays the power point slides so the powerpoint slides is covering entire screen and block the video camera. what should i do? i prefer not to using another looks and macros because my church volunteer is not yet capable to operate propresenter with complex settings? thank you in advance God Bless You 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Question? If there is a video file in PowerPoint, how can I import that into ProPresenter 7?

You have to manually go into PowerPoint and export it (or find the file it’s linked to) and bring that into pro7 manually.

I don't get this, how are u supposed to activate each slide, I have sound and effects on each slide. When I click on it it just looks like a jpeg and that's it

Sounds and effects don’t import, so you’re right. They ARE just jpgs unless you import the text in MacOS only.
You could capture the output of PowerPoint with NDI (download the free utilities to do so at NDI.tv), but those are the only ways.

How do you select something from your media folder?

    • @PaulClifford

In the media area, click the little plus button. There should be a pop up that allows you to select the media.

You lost me at “I don’t understand why preachers use PowerPoint to build sermons.”

I don’t. ProPresenter is a Ferrari. PowerPoint is in 1974 Pinto with two of the wheels falling off. There’s SO much a can’t do. Pro7 by contrast can do so much and look so incredible.
