General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint is my favorite black paint! The double paint wash on the bare wood is magic at suppressing the reddish tone of the wood. I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't choose a green paint but it might have been difficult to find a color that works as well as this black! Great job!
@@Laura_Brock Same here! Lamp Black leaves a buttery smooth finish. And now worries, I was kind of disappointed too. But yes, I felt like the natural paint wash against the green I wanted to try wasn’t going to have the wow effect that black has.
I love the way it came out… so clean and elegant. I love General Finish products also.
But those 🔥 PULLS 🔥 they are a show stopper!!!

Excellent choice… taking a nice walk in the outdoors really helps gather our thoughts and go forward with a plan 🙂. The outcome was a perfect combination. Toning down those reddish woods might take a few steps, but it helps change up the wood drastically. Thank you & really appreciated this video. God bless.

Not a fan of painting furniture on most older pieces.
However, this came out awesome.
I was not a big fan of the original style of the piece.
So, upgrading this as you did was perfect for this piece.

This is obe of your MOST BEAUTIFUL furniture transformations! The color of the wood after the 2 washes is AMAZING! I love the black combined with the light wood elements. The handles are AWESOME!

Gorgeous…although not a fan of the style, it turned out just beautiful! I love the colors you used, especially the top and legs! I’m getting ready to redo 2 of my bedroom furniture pieces with a white wash on the tops, and a light brown on the bottoms. I’m just waiting for the perfect weather in WV to get started! Why did you wipe it the down and with wath
Hi! I actually made a mistake, it wasn’t “wax cloth” it was “tack cloth.” I like removing dust or specks before top-coating. I tried going back to fix what I said, but technology didn’t cooperate with me. ☺️
I could be wroing but it looks like veneer over solid wood.
@@alexandrajackson2306 Yes, normally they’ll use a high quality wood veneer over a cheaper wood.
