I love china cabinets too! What else am I going to do with all my antique dishes passed onto me by my great-grandmothers, grandmothers, and my mother...a couple great-aunts too!
I do, too. Unfortunately, they're out of style for most people so it's nice to have ideas for repurposing them.
Who care about the style??? For me, as long as I like it, it is all that matters…
@@julietmurphy8637- in 10 years those same people who say they’re out of style will say they’re back in style. Whatever is beautiful to one person may not be beautiful to someone else so I’d rather ignore those people 😂
@sunshinegirl4660 Um... yay? I have two, because I love them and because they're practical for me. The fact remains that they are not in style and haven't been for decades. You can pick them up free or super cheap and many are going to landfills. They're not exactly conducive to collecting. So it's great to have alternative uses for them, to be able to remained them and give them new life for the current marketplace.
Kacha, I was so fortunate to have stopped by your shop and although you weren't technically "open", you invited me in and showed me this piece. It is even more stunning in person than on the video. They make wonderful kitchen furniture. Use the base as a bottom cabinet and hang the top as a upper cabinet. I did this and love it for pantry space.
I was just going to say the same thing, perfect for a unique kitchen, and you can even paint it and stencil it in the most unique ways.

This is what I did in our office and next will be the bonus room on o e side. A row of them, all painted the same color, bottom pieces. The uppers I wl store and hang in the garage on a long wall.
What a fantastic idea. I have a few pieces from my grandmother so do not want to part with. This wood be perfect. Also, creating a combo book and curio cabinet.

How many times have I said you never cease to amaze me. This piece is stunning, gorgeous, beautiful...well you get the idea. I LOVE IT!
I live in an old house that has a 1970's, remodeled, painted 50 times kitchen. I am slowly removing the old cabinets and replacing them with hutches. I remove the top, flip it upside down and attach it up to the ceiling. I'm doing the tops and bottoms the same color but each of them are different colors. Or they will be. I'm only on my second one. But, I can see the kitchen all done in my mind's eye and it is going to be so unique and beautiful. I am going to save this video because I love gold and it just has to be one of my cabinets. All the countertops are going to be live-edge walnut. Thank you for all the inspiration.

Love you getting 2 pieces out of one. My mother took a piece of furniture 65 yrs ago and got my dad to separate them. The bottom piece she painted black and put a large piece of marble my aunt had given her and added new hardware. The top piece dad added legs to and refinished so we had a sweet dresser in the guest room. I’ve been looking for a piece to separate that is smaller than a hutch so I can flip for my home remodeling. Im 75 and so enjoy your channel. Keep up the beautiful work and thanks for sharing 💕💕💕
