Welcome baby Hollar! So glad the home birth went smoothly. I love her name Elizabeth Rose... beautiful! You are proof to other women that a home birth is safe and possible. My track record was 3 c-sections, and then I fought for a VBAC, and finally my 5 home births with our nine children. I'm a retired OB Nurse & I suspected this was going to take place months ago when a rare shot of a baby bump was noticed while Meg was at the stove. I prayed for this beautiful outcome. I also suspected a girl and while working I was right about 50% of the time. *LOL* Elizabeth Rose is absolutely beautiful and I'm soooo happy for you all! Congratulations from Kansas!!

I loved the story of Elizabeth’s birth and her name. Small world.
I had friends with a 3/4 year old little girl and when mom became pregnant she was the same as Buggy. I heard her say a thousand times “the baby is a girl and her name is Rose!” She was right!
I haven’t thought about that in a long time…Rose and her big sister are in their 30’s now.

“Put him outside”. 😅 We have 2 sons who are 3 years apart. When I was expecting our second child our oldest kept talking about wanting a sister. Like you, I kept telling him it might be a brother. The day I was getting ready to leave the hospital I called him to let him know I was bringing his little brother home. He said “OK and you’re bringing my sister home too, right?” He’s 52 now and I think he still wants a little sister. 😅😅 Families are what it’s all about. ❤🙏🏻

Congratulations to your beautiful family!!! My grandmother was an only child until she was about 7. One night, her parents heard the screen door and got up to check. In the moonlight, they could see her nightgown and hair glowing as she went across the yard and then back inside where she closed the door and went back to bed. Her father got curious and went to see what she had been up to. Turns out, she had put the new baby sister in the ditch!! Gives a whole new meaning to "ditching" someone... Enjoy your precious new wee one. Welcome to the world, little one!!
