Dear Hollar family, Your family is beautiful, every time I see you with Buggy I miss my daughter. She was away for work all summer and then only home for 2 days before she had to report to school. It was a great 2 days, I cooked one dinner, steak and pierogis her favorite. Then to our favorite Italian restaurant, chicken parm with angel hair pasta. I won’t see my daughter again until Christmas break. Piece of advice if you don’t mind, hold tight to your daughters, appreciate every minute of every moment. Yes! My granddaughter who is 20, we had a hand in rasing her. She went away to college so we only saw her infrequently for 2 years. This year she decided to come home to work and take on line classes. She has a special boyfriend and that's why she's come home,😊😊 They do grow up.
What impresses me is that all the kids eat what's put in front of them. My 4, one liked meat, one veggies, one grains and my son that liked fish had special mommy date nights were we went out for fish. I wasn't allowed to cook fish in the house, lol.

The boys are a fabulous help and only so many hours in the day. If you downsize a bit and grow just things that the boys can handle. That would free you up to work on the house. In addition to just having a baby, as many people have mentioned, it was also hotter than Hades this summer. We are in Virginia, it was too hot, often in the 100s and we had a 7 week drought. It was an awful summer to get any projects done. We are also rebooting with the new season and cooler weather. Give yourselves grace. Thank you for taking the time to take us along. I had no idea....then...i...saw...them! It was freak out time! They were huge! Masters of disguise. Ugly. SCARY. My ex took one of my nice salad bowls filled it with soapy water, picked those worms and set them to sea. That bowl never saw the inside of my kitchen again.

Happy birthday, Buggy! Those four years flew by! I think the same thing when I look at my grandkids - the oldest is 26 (can that be right?) and the youngest is 13 and happy to be an official teen. I swear it seems like his mother was just four years old in her little red t-strap shoes. My favorite thing to do if we have leftover pork (which is seldom) is to dice it up and freeze it. Then I have it ready when we have leftover rice, and fried rice becomes very quick and easy, because I usually have onions and celery chopped in the freezer, too.

So true. I for one am grateful that they haven't gotten washed out by the crazy flooding. It's been a challenging summer for many.
I love how everything in the yard is recycled for the pigs, chickens, etc., and eventually all goes back into the Earth. That’s the cycle of life.👍🏼

That bug you're calling an assassin bug looks like a leaf-footed bug, which is not a friend...almost as bad as squash bugs IMO.
Leaf footed bugs are the worst. I get them with a hand held vacuum.
