Take a ride along with me where I share some of my evolving thoughts about this premium car

    I think u may be Lucid's most valuable owner. Nobody else makes TH-cam videos that actually drives the car on actual road trips on a regular basis and such. Most others just drive around town occasionally and coo about how smooth it drives. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

    I own a GT. I couldn’t open the port either, until I started pressing the bottom center. Now I can get it to open. Make sure your doors are unlocked. Be careful with the potholes. I’ve had 2 blowouts on the 21s.

    On my Lucid this is how I open the charge port. With the car unlocked use your thumb and press firmly once near the middle of the charge port door. Hope this works for you. Cheers!

    Buying it used the right choice. I’m sure the price has been coming down nicely to make them more affordable. The creak seems to be common thing. Sitting in the back seat, I hear creaks and rattles that’s starting to come up in my partner’s Lucid Air GT. Curious to hear your thoughts on the software as you live with the car Dave. It’s good to hear you talk about the bad and the good. Keep up the good content Dave!

    Dave,
    Regarding the charging door. It opens if you press HARD on the lower edge. You can also open the charging door using the Lucid App. I learned this after owning my Air GT for 3 months. Love the car. Waitlisted for the Gravity.

    Sounds wonderful, Dave! I saw one of these a year ago for Earth Day, and my jaw dropped.The one thing I don't like is that it has a trunk instead of a hatchback. I'll be most interested to hear Kathy's impressions after driving it, and how it compares with her GV60.

    While they definitely need to check out the sensor for the charge port door, how I open it on my Lucid is on the left side of the glass cockpit above the door lock/unlock icon there’s a touch screen icon with a plug on it which opens the charge post door, so just tap that right before you get out of the car. Honestly I prefer that approach to forcibly pushing on the charge port door and it’s convenient given your hand was about to open the car door anyway before you get out of the car.

    Great first impression Dave after you fully review this car what’s next in you cart, not to sure where you can go from here at least not for a 5 or 6 months from now. Love the look but definitely styled for the more well seasoned senior driver, I’m more of a cross over suv kind of a driver, Model Y, EV6, Mach E, or maybe something new on the horizon, lots to look forward too in the coming months.

    The charge port door should open, but having a secondary option is great. Just takes a little to get used to. Just pretend you have a ICE vehicle and you have a gas door lever to pull. Pretty simple. But Lucid should fix the issue.

    Yes Lucid looks fantastic! Btw my Tesla nudges me all the time in LA traffic. Once in Redondo Beach the car slammed on its brakes at an intersection because someone crossed the red light on the opposing side at 80 mph. It saved my life. I see a lot of Lucid cars on the road. I want to rent one. Nice body style too!

      EQS has all of those features you listed. Front and back cross-traffic alert, huge and flawless 360 reconstruction, lane keep nudging that vibrates the wheel. EQS changes lanes perfectly too, showing a great visual representation of the current traffic situation while doing it. Add to it the Mercedes service network and backing of an established automotive manufacturer. Feature by feature, the EQS was ahead in my own comparison which is why I ended up with it.

    • @ani_b
      @ani_b ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benistudhalter9349 did you mean it’s too long? The rear wheel steering makes up for it though, the car is more nimble in tight spaces than any other I’ve driven. No V2L is sad but hopefully next gen EQ vehicles have it. As for frunk, I think the hatch style cavernous trunk is more than enough for my needs. I tend not to use frunks when a kick hatch is available, just easier. But yeah some people might prefer it. Fair enough.
      Yeah rear seats aren’t truly S class. But since this is my daily driver and the front seats are excellent, I don’t much care for now.
