They are big old buses the lr4. Nice work on the brake upgrade, I’m sure they will be great at stopping all those tons 👍

Hi nice job, I have a 2008 Discovery 3 V8 and bought the same kit from powerful UK. I purchased both front and back kits but I also added Stoptech stainless steel break hoses. I never liked the oem feel of the breaks for such a heavy suv to spongy, the kits plus hoses changed that dramatically.

Thanks for the comment and support Luca. Sounds like you have a great set up. The front and back kits together are a great investment. Great tip on changing the break hose, I'm definitely considering steel braided hoses when the oem ones finally give up. 👍

Your video is really good! For future vids can you include a tools list at the beginning needed for the job?
Thank you for your videos very helpful!

Do you just jack up the lr4 or is there a sequence to do it so it doesn't mess up the air suspension

Hi Karl, thanks for the comment. So set your suspension to the highest level that way the air suspension will.not try and over adjust as you jack the car up. The ladder chassis has lots of great points to lift the car and place jack stands. Use a few as its heavy. I hope that helps 👍

Where did you jack it up and wheee did you place your axle stands please

Hi thanks for the comment David. So you need a large jack that can take a fair tonnage. Place the jack under the chassis frame at the front just behind the front wheel. The jack stand you can place under the shock behind the front wheel. Where the shock mounts to the hub. A good jack stand will be curved perfectly to the shape of the shock base. I also put the suspension on its highest setting whixh will give you an idea of the type of jack you need to deal with the height. Hope that helps 👍

Hello!! I'm thinkig about changing the discs because we have changed 3 pair of front disc in 90000km...the land river oficial dealer says that is a normal problem in this car(LR Disco 4 2016 tdve)
The discs warp and the direction vibrates a lot.
Do you think this is a normal mistake??
Thus fault could be claimed to the brand??
Thnas for the video and sorry for my english.

Hi Antonio, thanks for the comment. Are you using brembo front discs? The discs I have fitted are from powerfuluk limited. They seem to be doing a good job so far, done about 10,000 miles with no warping or excessive pad wear. I know the lr4 can be heavy on brakes because of its weight also front suspension can cause vibrations through the steering if its worn. Hope that helps 🤞👍

Hello @@Witty924!!! I always use OEM disc from land rover. Why did you upgrade the brakes? did you have any problem with them?? Is this a common problem in our cars??

    • @Witty924
      @Witty924  2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@murciaoffroad5857 thanks for the comment. I find the upgrade to give better braking performance, less fade when doing spirited driving. And for the looks too, the brake upgrade discs are drilled and cross drilled with a zinc finish to stop them rusting. They look smart and they are a like foe like cost to OEM brembo brakes, so it was an easy decsion. So far so good on mine 👍🤞

great work but just imagine some red brembo calipers on that black truck hmmmm my opinion from out here in jamaica but i know everything cost $ but great job love disco 4 do u get any problem from it over a 3 yr period koooool

Thanks for the comment and support Paul. Totally agree a big caliper upgrade would look epic. It's been good for the past 4 years although it has just snapped its bonnet release cable which is common. I have to try and figure out how to open the bonnet without a cable now 🤔🤞
