great videos. dealership wanted $1200 to do a front brake job, with this video we did it for the cost of pads and rotors :)
🎉 great step by step video. I wish everyone could be so diligent like this guy😊
Thanks 🙏
Nice demonstration
That video was awesome, step 1 to the end complete. I'm ready to tackle my brake job.

Thanks for the video I have the exact same car and tried to do my brakes and could not find a video so just had to break down and get them done at the dealership. But I will attempt to change my oil thanks to you.. I appreciate your videos.
Great video you just saved me a lot of money thanks from Odessa Texas
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you so much for all the detailed information. Now I know what to do to replace my own brakes! 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Good work Alex. Enjoying your vids👍
Very helpful thank you! Keep it up
I like it , I always do my own , so it’s always good to check how other do , thanks 🙏🏽
Ok so just followed these steps exactly on my 2013 RR Sport HSE Lux and went without any issues. Thanks so much Aleks!! You saved me a lot of money. When I put my sensor back on (the old sensor) it fit kind of loosely. I was expecting it to be snug in there like when I took it off. Ok, tomorrow will be the rear brakes and rotors so I’ll comment on that video afterwards. Thanks again!!
Excellent advice and great safety! 👌
✊🙌🤙
You forgot to tell us why it’s important to leave the trunk open... leave the trunk open so you disengage the suspension airbags or else you could blow the airbags wide open
But thank you for the video
I Wish all Videos were like this,Superb step by step, missing out nothing on instalation, I did my front Brakes pads no problem, look forward to any other videos you make,Well Done You 🙂
Glad you liked it!
Thank you Alex, just finished the rear brakes after watching your video several times. Now going to tackle the front brakes after watching this video. Thank you again.
🙏🙏🙏
THANK YOU!... GREAT WORK
Excellent Videos
excellent video
Great job Alex! Love your videos! :)
Thank you! 🙏
Courage and effort = success.
💯
Amazing! Thank you!
You are very welcome!
Fantastic. Doing this next week - my rotors warped and the braking causes steering wheel shudder. Great video...
Done. It was indeed the warped rotors issue. Steering wheel vibrations completely gone, braking smooth even at 170km/h, when before the rotor changes steering wheel was shaking so bad that it made me nervous - only at light braking, though. Now it's all fixed. Thanks again for the great video...
Thanks for the video.
Very nice job
saved me alot of money thank you
✊
Great Job 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks Bro excellent Stuff!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Alex the goat I have discs and pads coming
Good luck!
Thanks!
Good job 👍
Thanks 🙌
A great Thank you for this clear explanation. I replaced both front and rear brake pads with your help and this would have costed in Belgium 2 x 400 € = 800 €. I ordered them from Autodoc and costed me with new sensors 100 € for 4 wheels. Took me 1 hour per axis . Thanks
I’m glad to help
Nice. You should add torque specs for wheel bolts - 103 ft-lbs
Thanks man super cool thanks
🙏🙏🙏
@@Alexfixty Good Day! Pls I loosed and removed the two back brake callipers to compress them as the new pads wasn't entering, after fixing them back and bleeding, the brake pedal goes flat at first and comes a bit hard after several pumping but still goes flat when left for few minutes, had tried several means of bleeding, even changed the brake master and ABS Module but still having same brake failure.
Kindly help urgently. It's a Range Rover 2014 Autobiography.
Please help provide solution to me as I've been on this for two weeks now customer running out of patience for mare changing of Brake pads
Best Videos!!!! the mechanics at dealership are useless!!!
Very descriptive.
Thanks 🙏
Thanks a lot 👌💐👌💐👌💐
Алексей, крутое видео снимаешь, профи
🙏 🙏🙏Спасибо!
Nice
Alex, great channel. Have you considered using content from your customers vehicles, just love to see more repairs especially L405 air shock replacement. Keep up the great channel.
Thank you! I’ll be replacing front shocks later this year, I’ll make a video 👍👍👍
Awesome thanks Alex, “Great channel”
Rear brake replacement. Do you have to replace rotors and sensors when you replace new pads. Great instructions!!!!
I’m going to change the discs on my daughter’s Range Rover Velar, I’m guessing the procedure will be very similar to the Range Rover you’ve just done, very helpful, thank you.
Good luck!
Let me know how it goes if you can. I'm about to do front and back pads/rotors on my 2019 velar R dynamic Hse
Good luck
@@alexkatler They didn’t require changing, the discs had some rust around the edges, I cleaned them with a drill and abrasive flap wheel and they were good enough to pass MOT. I couldn’t find a way of unlocking the hand brake as the Velar’s brake is fully automated ( no lever/switch) so I think some sort of OBD tool would be required to enable changing them.
Hi. Very nice 👍 is it any chance to make videos about brembo brake pad replace.
Thanks 😊
Great video! Is it possible to decide if I take the Brembo Disc 360mm or the 380mm or is there only ONE correct one? I think yours are the 360mm, right?
Hello, for the 2016 Land Rover LR4 rear brake change, do I need to put to brake maintenance mode? Can you show how?
Does the Brake mode procedure work for a 2017 Range Rover Evoque HSE ?
Hi 👋 Is it possible to make videos for L405 remove rear seat 💺 and electric seat control module please.
Thanks
I like your simple illustration but you forgot about the suspension button. Good job!
Thanks!
@@Alexfixty Alex kindly respond to my comment asap please as I'm seriously under pressure, please come to my rescue urgently
Here are some more torque specs 13mm Bolts - 26 ft-lbs, Rotor torx 50 bolt - 12 ft-lbs and caliper bracket bolts - 208 ft-lbs
Please, where can I find that information?
Is it necessary to replace brake pads sensor when installing new brake pads and disc? Or i can keep the stock one?
after I change the front pad and sensor. The brake warning light is still on. How do I get rid of the warning light?
lol , the front connecting part of my sensor broke pulling it off ,also my bolts for the claliper bracket are like 12 bi point nut
So clear. My good friend who had a 2016 LR4 just passed away a few weeks ago and before he died he asked me to give it a once-over for his wife. Going to do the brake pads, front and rear, in a couple days. Anything special about the rear pads? Also, do I need to replace the sensors? (BTW, the dealer quoted her $2850 for new pads, rotors, and sensors..!)
No way, so expensive. If the sensors are damaged and worn out by thin brake pad you have to replace them.
Is the velar model similar to this?
Can we get a channel where you change out the oil
My rear passenger side brake is stuck what I need to fix I hear park brake engine bit this is stuck
Bleeding brakes requires?
Nice video! Helped me out a lot, one question though. How many brake sensors total? 2 or 4?
As I remember just 2
Can you put link for oem rotors pls. Great vid, thanks!
In the description amzn.to/49il8rO or amzn.to/3PIprWm
The bottom splash sheid screws rust and are a pain to replace

Hi Alex. Thx for the video. I couldn't get my car into maintenance mode. I started the engine and released the e brake manually. I could not compress the brake piston back. Looks like I need to replace the caliper now. It's seized. For the other rear, don't attempt to disassemble until in maintenance mode? Thanks for the time.
Hi! Not sure what you did, there is a step by step explanation on how to do the rear brake pads. If you are not sure what you have done, I better recommend to contact a specialist who can help you with that. Sorry to hear that!
Thr ground lug on the cradle can corrode and fall off. Happened to me.
Hey Alex, do you know how to permanently disable Tire Pressure Monitoring and Stop Start on the L405 2017?
Hi! Most likely using sdd and changing configuration file
great video, is it necessary to change the wear sensor every time?
If it’s damaged
Thank you for the video. Can you advise what size C Clamp you used for caliper compression step?
If anyone was wondering about this around @3:28 once the two bolts are removed I took off the caliper first then used a 4 inch c clamp to push in the piston.
Just make sure your reservoir is opened and take some fluid out when pushing the piston back. Only if your brake fluid is full you need to take some fluid out or it will overflow when doing this piston retract.
@@justdave5121 I saw this step left out from video but I have done brakes before and did ensure the brake fluid reservoir cap was open. Good info for others though.

Did you ever find out what caused your problem?

Do you have to replace the rotors every time you replace the brake pads? My rotors appear to be fine and dont vibrate but brake pad light came on.
Been a while since you posted, but you can also have your rotors “turned” at Oreilly s auto parts. I think they charge $20 per rotor. Drop them off in morning and haven back a few hours later. If the rotors are within spec, you have at least one “turn” you can do on a rotor, instead of buying new rotors . You DO want to turn or replace each pad replacement otherwise your pads get chewed up faster and possibly glaze (the rotors turn a bluish red tint from overheating) the rotors.
Hi mate, i have an autobiography 2022 do you think these are similar ?
It’s different
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Alex, we don't need to put the vehicle in service mode to replace front brakes pads?
We don’t 👍
Do you need a new sensor every time you change the pads ?
If it’s damaged you have to replace it
Nice video. I’m in LA area. Are you available to hire?
So if you do put new rotary’s and pads do you have to replace the sensor? Could you not just put the old one on?
If it’s not damaged
Hi 👋 do we need to change brake sensor wire every time change brake pad or can use the same old.
Thanks 😊
Hi! If the sensor is good and there is no brake light on dashboard, no need to replace it
Thanks 🙏
Why put vehicle in access height? When jacking vehicle, shouldn’t it be in off road height?
You are correct ✅
Why did you disconnect the sensor wire then reconnect it? You didnt replace it. So why do it?!
Put a piece of wood on the rotor, then you can hammer it
excellent video
Thank you very much!
