Just got the 1977xs from the Daisy Museum for 80.00 . Mine tested at 12fpe with a 9 grain pellet @ 10 pumps . My 77xs tested at 6 fpe with the same pellet @10 pumps . The 1977xs makes good power . The pump head no longer uses the elastomer found on rifles like the 77xs , replaced with a heavy duty spring . Makes a great upgrade for the older design .

Makes sense, Gamo already owns Daisy and have been selling Winchester under license, they probably figure they have enough name recognition with the Gamo/Daisy names and don't want to pay licensing fees to Winchester anymore. The Vapor looks interesting, if they are getting 1200 fps with their alloy PBA, then it should be getting in the 900s with lead, wonder if or how they managed to pull that off.

The Wincester version of the 880 comes with a 4x32 scope, which must be much better than the 4x15 on the 880.
