      The story that US projects and tells itself is not the reality for many people who aren't rich. Yes, for people coming from a less-wealthy nation, it can be a new start, a chance for a better life. Over the recent years though, things seem to have gotten uglier. You can see how little social progress there is -especially as it relates to race. After 30 years I just don't see this changing much. Unreal. It's telling when you hear black people say they felt freer, safer, and more fulfilled after leaving the US -even with the bad encounters as Chris described (crotch grab WTH?)

    This is one of my all time favourite Black Experience Japan videos! They could make make a great movie about this guy’s story. I really enjoyed this and found it inspiring. Didn’t even know there was a “first black samurai” lol. I love that he found the people overall very accepting. Can’t help but wonder if being surrounded by such an untouched beautiful landscape would influence the “warmth” he’s received from the locals. Black Artist farming in Japan! Good message too about not being afraid to reinvent yourself.

      nodnarb5 The first black samurai was around 26,27 when he came there . He arrived at Japan in the middle of 150 year long civil war and happened to work for perhaps most popular samurai ODA Nobunaga for one year until Nobunaga was betrayed and ambushed by his right hand man AKECHI Mitsuhide. Some professor believe Nobunaga ordered his guys to decapitate him and made yasuke to deliver the head to his son so that Akechi would not be able to declare victory. His head nor body has not been found yet.

    I feel like in a lot of ways we are a carbon copy of one another. Just about every reason he named for moving out of the US is exactly why I moved to Europe 10 years ago. Best decision I made for me and my family. Also having boys, I too saw the writing on the wall. I have a much better experience and quality of life. My children receive a better education, and I was a public school teacher. My healthcare cost are half, universities are less expensive and I feel safer. Not only that, having moved, my eldest son has already taken school trips to 3 other countries. Moving has allowed my children to have much more of a worldly experience than if we'd stayed in the states. Like this brother I have no regrets. It was one of the best decisions I've made and definitely beneficial for my family. As well, it's nice to be treated as a person, as a man and not as "That Black man". I've been teaching for the last 8 years and have discovered that most if not all of the stereotypes and racism I faced in the US is self-contained. 95% of the things that I had to deal with being Black in the United States, Europeans had never even heard of or thought of Black people or culture in that manner.

    • @superone5838
      @superone5838 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      He mentioned not wanting his children to deal with what America does, not what black, Mexican, Asian, people do. You may not notice it cos you are obviously not black, not targeted to be criminalized, and not media influenced on to be looked upon as bad people to distract you from the evil elite who actually run political policy in America to run the world politically. We never agreed to the Vietnam war but yet we we were there, we never agreed to fight in Iraq yet we are still there, mandatory vaccinations that have been proven to cos autism, and the ingredients of the vaccines would terrify you, and the people who are in the know has temporarily stopped it from being forced on the poor, gmo food, and beef, fake food, and a written policy to eliminate 2 billion disposable people by promoting the lgbt life style, flooding black community's with drug to get the money to fight there secret wars in South America. And yet I love the few freedoms we still have here that are slowly and quietly going away. I served 21 years in the military kid and I'm certain you are blue pill.
      (It's a reference from the movie: the Matrix). You don't know what's happening before your very eye's. I don't advocate a mass exodus of poor black people to be a burden to other nor do we want to because the greatest opportunity for becoming rich is still here in America . But we are not blind to what's up here also.
      75,000 black women every year being sex trafficked and missing the highest number of any culture, Black market organ harvesting and innocent killing of black people in the streets of America and the narrative in the media is street crime, but white people have been caught on film posing as street criminals in black area's shooting black people and switch vehicles and leaving the area. It's believed that these are off duty police officers because these mass shootings of black on black crime seem to be happening on holidays like memorial day (criminal don't wait till holidays to do mass shootings and they don't target innocent prime organ donation victims. Criminals shoot at other criminals and not in mass numbers.
      I believe the man wanted to move to please his wife and felt she would get less heat as a mixed interracial couple somewhere else instead of this racists country. We take the good with the bad here, but we always want the best for our children and we highly consider the desires of our wives. Whatever my wife was and where her home was i would consider it for her. But as for me i love the middle class of our culture and i love the musicians, sports figures, actors, business owners, good etc etc, but I would love more than all that to see my women happy.
      *NOW THAT'S WHAT'S UP*

      Neither did Obama his minority agenda was mostly for the lgbt community and they have bills now on the books to fight for reparations and they have been given married status tax breaks for being unjustly treated on your boy Obamas watch (fact checked) . We never ask for anything but a level playing field. But i say don't ask for that either: i say don't hate the player, and don't hate the game, but learn the rules of the *game* and find the loop holes and keep hustling and win.
      GAME: guts, action, methodology, execution .
      Game: is strategy for life, and hustle: is a spirit of entrepreneurialship .
      Back in American history fisherman would give whites 10 cent for a bucket of worms, and would give blacks 5 cents for the same buck of worms. Obviously the black guy had to work harder, but some brutha's developed what we call game for the hustle, and hustle/ game is synonymous for *strategy* .
      They learned that if you stuck a steaked (pointed on one end) two by four in the soft wet soil and rubbed the top of it in a grinding motion it would mimic the vibration of the blind mole-rat , and the worms would dig themselves to the surface to be easily picked up and the brutha's would double the buckets of worms to level or best the playing field. Hustlers don't ask for hand outs we get to the 💰$ of money by learning the blueprint to the game of life.
      Peace out i got some "No limit Holdem" to go play later here on the west coast *we hustle in California and we got the game and knowledge for it*
      Adam and eve lived in the garden of Eden says the bible, and it was watered by 4 connecting streams.
      I take the metaphoric view that my personal garden of Eden is watered by 4 stream of income.
      Peace out: West coast California 💰💰💰💰💰.
