    Hi, I'm new at 3d printing, I bought an ANET ET4 a month ago, and I've been getting better at the configuration of the profile and all of that, but I still can't get a perfect finish, I always get a line between the layers, the layers don't bond very well with each other, so I would really appreciate if you can share the profile that you use for printing, you got such a beautiful results...
    And also give me some tips at 3d Printing!, Thanks

    I got one of these because of how much you mentioned it being silent. I don't know if your definition of silent is different than mine but the version I received had silent fans and steppers that sounded like an angry dial-up modem that just got a huge megaphone to scream through. Did you do any additional setup to the printer?

    I have 2 Ender 3 Pros and I haven't been able to purchase any since the great virus attack of 2020, every Ender3P on the continent of North America has been sold. During my daily printer search through Amazon and the somewhat shadier Ebay I came across the Anet ET4 in Amazon. Hadn't heard of them before. It's priced at $249, exactly the same as the Ender3P. The specs looked good and the 3 reviews favorable, but this video convinced me to pull the trigger. Really liked your review, very solid, no fluff. New Subscriber. Definitely void the warranty and look inside. To quote one of my favorite YT bloggers, "Don't turn it on, take it apart"

      how your reviews after all about et4?

  • @isavoro
    @isavoro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    bought after seeing your review and others. I was looking for a secondary drive to work in pair with my 1st gen Ender 3. Damn that day!
    This printer is such a pain to make it work that assembling an Ender 3 seems pretty easy in comparison. In order we have:
    - the Z-axis home switch put on top of the printer and EVERY TIME you start printing she needs to go up and then down to the bed
    - THE BED!!!! oh god, leveling is a nightmare! you first need to scroll down the z axis MANUALLY, then use your wonderful auto-leveling sensor to literally screw up everything. you will get 50% bad adhesion and 50% an engraving on your glass bed... AND OBVIOUSLY your fantastic leveling will be forgot EACH TIME you shut down the printer. great feature!
    - the y belt too loose, it makes an absurd noise when changing direction.
    - the x belt too large for the rail of the tensioner, so it will make a "clicky" noise while moving.
    now. maybe i was unlucky, difficult to say, but when I will get my return and refund I will unpick Anet from my list forever.

      ok, 1. calm down 2. you probably did get a bad version. my auto levelling is remembered everytime, everything is silent, no noise, no clicking nothing. and the fact that the home is all the way up there, iam fine with that. it is a great printer, but the manufacturing line of it is quite inconsistent.

    Just a question please.
    I bought this printer per your Recommendation. The Hot end doesn't heat up at all! If I touch it and leave my hand on it the temp indicator rises. After I take it off the indicator drops. so the sensor is working but not the thermister.
    Do you know where I can get the original firmware to re-flash? Just in case the firmware is corrupt.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    It’s my first 3D printer (probably not the last one) and I was pretty surprised by the simplicity of the assembly of it. Nevertheless I had some minor troubles especially due to the lach of information in the manual. Fortunatly I had seen this video clip earlier and wathched it again while building the printer. It didn’t save my life but at least saved me a few “f”-words :-)

    a tip for those who are complaining about the printer having issues:
    deal with it.
    JK
    when you order from china, your printer will always come with some problem. sometime mild, other times severe. but it will ALWAYS come with a problem. the reason is the inconsistent manufacturing line.
    there is a really simple solution to this. just buy the original! how? order it from the czech reublic. czech reublic manufactures the original anet printers, i ordered mine from czech reublic and it is holding on for a year with NO problems.
    EDIT: iam not saying that it will 100% come with no problems, im just saying that it will come with no problems 80% of the time, and when it does come with a problem, it is not that severe. not at all.

    For those who want to comparing this to Ender3, you have to choose Anet ET4. because its 32bit motherboard, metal extruder, auto feed filament, glass bed, cheaper price, easy to build, clean model,lcd touch screen, silent motor, the printer body stucture and print result similiar to ender3. i dont understand why in 2020 you want to buy ender3? this product released with all feature that ender3 have, even more because ender3 dont have metal extruder, glass bed, etc. yes you can modify ender3.. but why wasting time n money when you can get anet ET4 for cheaper price.

    • @jacobray4598
      @jacobray4598 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      reply I figured it out so everyone can rest at ease that my sd card issue is fixed.. I know you was worried! lol
      for one, your sd card does not come formatted you need to create a separate folder and save the factory contents to your computer or just buy another sd card, format it.
      2,) it seams to be a common mistake but if the printer doesn't recognize any files on the card its because the card wont read after power has been supplied sd card must be inserted prior to turning on.
      3) some have also stated that there is a glitch in the sd card reader on et4 printer something about a 6$ amazon part. There is plent of info on this on the facebook, reddit, etc.
      over all these are great out the box printers. I have a tevo black widow that I've owned for two years and from day one it was nothing but a headache. from poor quality info, assembly and parts. which I would not recommend to anyone that's a beginner this et4 I most defiantly would.

    • @bige2106
      @bige2106 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can tell you that the ender 3 is a very good printer easy to assemble (toulk under 2 hours) prints perfect every time and plus has a good fan base behind it so if something does go wrong you should be able to fix no problem i would defiantly recommend it

    • @shadowbrother24
      @shadowbrother24 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Take the Ender 3 if you want to use a printing Server. Anet did change the Firmware A LOT! so basics Gcodes like G29 and M503 are not existing. M600 also is missing.
