    I have poor range of motion on my left arm/elbow/shoulder due to an injury/surgery. Can I still get a benefit if I currently can’t do the movements exactly as shown?

    • @HumanGarage
      @HumanGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Absolutely! Whatever your max range of motion is will have just as much benefit to your body. The intention is what matters most as well, do to your best of ability, and even modify the maneuvers if you need to, as the fascia releases your range of motion will adapt accordingly. Please check out our essential fascial maneuver sequences playlist and try the seated modifications and elbow maneuvers, let us know how it goes! th-cam.com/play/PL6HV2prxhhV8y7xeEEHdjnm-t1wPTgIix.html

      Maybe use a towel or something similar behind your head and grab onto it on both ends, to pin the skin.

      Me too Idiopathic Scoliosis S-curve 45/35, and was in depression for so many years, also probably a result of childhood trauma -- I wasn't allowed my own body to myself... So.. it kept me "away" from my body and fear of being myself, yet this, plus meditation, workouts, music, rhythm thought, feeling, vibes, as well as nutrition. I want to share that I did this routoine 4 times within 10days in May this year. I have scoliosis, my thorasic curve was 28 degrees in Nov 2022, I just had exrays (Nov. 2023) and it went down to 20 degrees! I stopped as I had spasms in my back when playing golf, this lastest approx. 3 weeks. I was too nervous to continue but now that I have these results I am starting back again and plan to do every other week to get back easy. Thank you for this video, at 67 I never thought I could decrease my curve.

    These exercises have changed my life. I’ve had chronic pain that’s been a struggle as my passion is dynamic movement. After a decade of various treatments, and waking up each day in pain…2 weeks of doing these exercises have me waking up pain free while training as intensely as I ever have with freestyle calisthenics, ATG, weight training, yoga, & various sports.
    I’m going through the 28 day reset now and feel amazing in my body. So grateful. ❤❤❤

    I just discovered a breathing technique, inspired by this video, that helps with my extreme daily anxiety and I'm SO excited to share it. I've tried lots of other breathing techniques over the years, but nothing else personally helps me as much as what I just discovered. I breathe in and KEEP breathing in as much as I can, with small "gulps" of air until I can't breathe in any more (blowing myself up like a balloon). Then I hold my breath for as long as I can (at least 30 seconds, but I know many people might not be able to go that long at first). Then I breathe out and slowly take several large breaths in and out. Then repeat. While I'm holding my breath, I can feel myself and my brain "slowing down", and I think that's what's helping the most.

    I've done this routine twice and both times I unlocked sharp stiffness and pain associated with intense corporal punishment from my childhood. The amount of concentration it takes me to squeeze my sex organs and maintain it while doing the other 352 things is definitely going to take some practice! But, even after my first, albeit clumsy, attempt, I can feel a difference! I have kyphosis, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease in my neck, thoracic outlet syndrome, and super-tight muscles (no doubt holding trauma and grief) so I see this as a beneficial addition to Qigong, TRE, and Somatic Movement Therapy!

I also have some other body imbalances that have intensely flared up from all the recent stress. This is only the first time I’ve done this and it truly does calm nerves and ground the energy felt in the body and mind, as well ease the physical symptoms caused by the anxiety which has been soothed. Thank you so much, I’ll be incorporating this into my practice regularly / daily!

    Hi! I have two questions. When you say "spinal pelvic lock", am I supposed to keep it pulled in for the whole duration of the breathing that follows (aka breathe into my chest, not belly because of it)? And second, my right rib keeps falling out and back during the twists and breathings quite often (I am hypermobile, so it probably has to do with that). Do you have any tips for that? I have already tried not to twist that far or to breathe more shallowly, but it keeps happening anyways. I find it very unpleasant and it leaves me tensed a lot in anticipation of it happening, so it'd be great to reduce it somehow. Thank you! 🤗

    Did this fascia maneuver yesterday before doing my modified sun salutation stretches and i noticed that my body was more flexible/loser/relaxed 🙏🏼 .. will be doing this once a day on its own or before my stretch routine for 28 days and hopefully it will help release the stress trapped in my body.. i am thankful to have crossed paths with you, human garage ♥️

      Strengthening my glute muscles really helped with my lower back problem as strong glutes help to support your posture. I'd say it's worth a try if you haven't done so already:)

    This is so interesting. I stumbled on a video of yours. I have been trying so many things to correct a right hip issue. For years I have noticed that I carry stress in my lower right abdomen. I could actually feel my body winding up as though a ‘shirt’ was being pulled and twisted on my lower right abdomen. My navel is clearly off center to the right. I will definitely do these.

    I would love this for all videos where we are following people facing us. Either have one person turn around so we can see them moving the same way we are. Or…when you say “take your right hand…” have everyone on screen using the left hand. So we are mirroring the movements. I get SO confused I usually end up giving up.

    Hey ive done this exercise for two days morning and night. I can feel so much energy moving through my body, i c an even feel some pins and needles when meditation, my body even feels sore as if ive done a full body workout. Are these symptoms normal ? if so how long will they last? When do i know i am ready to move to intermediate ?

    • @HumanGarage
      @HumanGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's incredible, we appreciate you sharing! Yes that is completely normal, it takes about 21-28 days for the body to adapt into a new habit cycle. We suggest combining this class with our Organ Reset & Finger release videos to further help the body Integrate the new changes being made. Always remember to keep the body relaxed when working with fascia, we want to move slow so we don't activate our muscles. Try the advanced classes after completing a 28 Day cycle.
      It is also extremely important to properly hydrate the body with distilled water & supplement with Silica, be sure to remove fluoride & other harmful heavy metals from water before consuming. We also recommend taking Epsom salt baths often, (avoid cheaper salts often made in china) as an additional way to hydrate the fascia!
      Organ Reset: th-cam.com/video/-dnZbIO_3aE/w-d-xo.html
      Finger Release (our fingers also connect to our organs): th-cam.com/video/trzp2M1o5-8/w-d-xo.html

      I love all of this. But I had heard you cannot hydrate with distilled water. The empty water will actually remove electrolytes from your body. I stick with spring water.

    I have igA vasculitis, kinda like rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn's. Part of the why I think might be due to stress, I ignored and rubbed off plenty of symptoms and just listened to doctors saying theyre normal and they just built up so here I am, trying to do something for my health. I'm learning to pay attention to signs my body is giving.
    I yawn alot nornally, but I was having trouble keeping up with the breathing counts in this exercise because I was yawning a lot more than usual, I'm not sleepy though. Might be a silly question but is there an explanation for excessive yawning while doing this?
    It's only been my second day of doing this and both times the yawning was excessive.

      @Apm Yawning can be a sign of trauma release and/ or your body entering a rest and digest state (parasympathetic nervous system). It's a good thing. 😊
