A beautiful and touching song that I found quite haunting, for it gave me goosebumps. Or perhaps it was the thought of the spider that did it to me! 🤦♀️🕷 Although I do think it would be a good Halloween song. Tuomas's thought process amazed me on this song to the point where I think he must conjure these ideas up in his sleep. He then weaves his magic and turns them into yet another poetic masterpiece which lures you into his web of dreams. ❤ I think the lyrics in this song represent the cycle of life and death, where the spider is portrayed as both the artist and nature itself. For it is one that will constantly spin intricate creations, and then cuts them down to begin anew. And I think the way NW structured the music and vocals very much reflected that cycle of life and death. As an example the strings heard in the chorus while exquisite, can give that feeling of the quick movements made by a spider. Just a thought! I think an interesting fast fact is that the Dutch translation for spider is "spin". So who knows perhaps that's where the idea came from for the catchy bridge which contains the lyrics: "Spin away, spin away, spin away, come spin away! It's one you can't help but sing to yourself over and over, actually I think not too dissimilar to the catchy chorus of Sail Away by Enya. Thank you for a wonderful reaction Vakasa and breakdown of these gorgeous lyrics. For I loved listening to your interpretation of them and I agree it was definitely a Wow!!! I hope you have a great night with much love and blessings. 😊🙏❤
