There are always some trolls hating on nightwish on every video they post. So.. nobody is pointing a gun at people's heads to come to nightwish's video. Nobody is making people like a, b or c member or former member of the band. Tuomas doesn't make creative choices with which he doesn't agree. So, no, Troy didn't ruin Tuomas. The old Nightwish music was made by a young, wild and free dude that wanted to make some rock and roll music. He got older, wiser, more mature, and so did his music. Maybe for some people, music isn't just a rhythm, a beat, a guitar shredding. Maybe a genius like Tuomas wants his music to make a difference. To make us think, to leave a mark in the world, long after he's gone. I like to think new Nightwish is for smart people. The ones that can see beyond the notes and the words, and feel the message deep within. If people want to listen to a band that does the same all over, you can listen to ACDC. I love acdc as well, i went to see them live this year! I loved old iron maiden, their new stuff, not so much, but still went to see them. I dont go on their pages hating. Or saying bring back (enter former member) or kick out Janick Gers. It's all part of the band now. Troy and Floor are Nightwish as well, as is Jukka. Their input made the band who they are now and who they will be in the future. Marko has his band (Tarot), Tarja and Annette have solo projects. Go there and support them. Haters are not needed here. Very well said, thank you. I prefer the last albums of Nightwish to the former ones but would never say "Tarja is bad" or "Anette is bad". All three singers are great artists and fit the songs perfectly Tuomas has written for them. I miss Marco but he has chosen to leave and I have to accept this and wish him all the best for his future. And I just love Troy and the vibe he has brought to Nightwish.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and should be free to express it. There is nothing wrong with criticizing something you don't like as long as you do it in an intelligent and reasoned manner. Saying you don't enjoy the latest output from a band you used to love doesn't make you a troll - it only makes you disappointed. Personally, I believe that Tuomas's ego got a little too big for his ability as a songwriter sometime around or after "Once". Sure, the band's productions are now impressively layered but the music beneath them is pretty bland and easily forgotten. In their early albums Nightwish used to be able to create evocative soundscapes with four simple instruments, and this is something no multimillion budget can compensate for. If you approve of what Nightwish are currently doing, more power to you, but don't disparage others just because they don't agree with you.

I absolutely love Troy and his musical talent. Troy, if you see this, I want you to know you've been in my ears with your magical musicianship all of my adult life: From that first Iona CD "Book of Kells" I bought in 1992 at the age of 18, now at age 49 with "Yesterwynde".
I love how many new doors Troy opened for Nightwish when he brought his arsenal of instruments on board. It was a genius idea from Pip Williams when he decided to give Troy a call and ask him to play the pipes on Dark Passion Play back is 2006. The rest is history. :)

I loved "Perfume" and can't wait to hear/see the rest of Yesterwynde. And I'm a big fan of these "making of" clips as well. I bet the band prefers these short clips vs the promotion junket all over the EU. I know you won't be coming to the USA, so I'll live with the videos until my pkg arrives.
You know, I don't wanna say clichés and crap, but I was listening to some of the old nightwish songs recently and seeing that video made me proud of these people. They've changed so much, they've grown so much putting in their music a lot of new, fascinating elements. Those guys aren't a bunch of random people who thought of making music during a camp, they've become some sorta angels of music. Those are my thoughts aaaand they may be kinda cliché, but if you don't like it, then I'm really sorry darlings, but I don't really care(with much love)

I loved that it teased us with a bit of the orchestra rehearsal and lyrics. You don’t have to spoil much information (although I would love it haha), but sharing a bit of actual album material makes those trailers way more interesting and pleasant.
Perhaps the concept of bands are changing. I don't mean that in a negative way, but in a modern way. Nightwish is one of the few bands that has rich music that stimulates the imagination. Other American bands have "rockers" far past their retirement who constantly play hits from the 80s and 90s. Nightwish gives me hope that Rock or Metal or this genre of music isn't dead. Perhaps the concept of music at a live venue is a thing of the past because Spotify killed that, but it brought these bands into our cars and our Playstations. I'm partially wrong because I forgot about festival season. But I think the great festivals are in Europe. I am putting that out there because I do wish for some encouragement to believe that music is more alive and happening.

What I gather from different reactors on YT is, that f.e. Perfume Of The Timeless (worldclass song!) feels 'over-produced'...maybe after these series of 3 outstanding albums, Tuomas should go back to two-track stereo-recording??? It would still sound perfect😂

I think there's a special friendship between Tuomas and Troy, and they discuss a lot about god and the world, and that's what the music of nightwish expresses. we all evolve as we get older and question the meaning of our lives, and no one can express that more perfectly and meaningfully in music than Tuomas. There is no one to blame here, the music of nightwish has become more mature and substantial but extremely good.

Please tell me that Jukka or Kai can belt out a tune or that you have other male vocalists for these parts.
If the drums were moved back in the middle then they would have to put plexi class around it. Floor has a sensitive mic, which is why the drums were moved on the side. :)

I hope in the next tour the drum set is back in the middle, because it looks way unbalanced visually looking at them now.
