Just listen to the song on Spotify, again and again. The more you listen, the more it will appear for other listeners. This song is a potential huge Christmas hit. I think a lot of people will like it because it is a ballad. Ballads from metal and hardrock bands sometimes turn out to be huge hits. Well, just like the song and listen to it a lot. This is how a song will appear on the billboard charts. This one will for sure.
Its too long for radio play or for any awards. That is how the industry works. Then again, why would you want to win a budged sparkling wine competition with your champagne..
Those who have left this life still hold a lantern for us to see by. Their memories still guide us. I love this song. For me, it's the best song on the album.
Tuomas wrote this as a tribute to his father who passed away in 2021. While somber and a little sad, it has a positive outlook, celebrating life, of others and and living our own to the fullest. Scaretale would probably be thr most “Halloweeny” song of Nightwish, and Anette song. You guys take care. Hope you have a generator, and are as prepared as you can be. Will keep you in prayers. 🙏🏽
Can't help to think of my Father when hearing this masterpiece. Way to go Tuomas and way to go Floor. This is quickly becoming my favorite Nightwish song.
Thank you very much for your reaction. I hope the hurricane will not harm you. This song and An Ocean of Strange Islands are my favourite songs from the new album. The male singer is Troy. Gone is the hurt, the wait, gone is the warmth of day. A stray boat saved, happy memories engraved, on into a velvety night, beneath a lanternlight. Last night brought the heaviest of snows melting the songs of old, tying the boat, write a new one soon, sending me to the drowning moon, far above a lanternlight. I'm in the light and flood, I'm in the four winds, I am the waves shaping pebbles flawless gems, I am the snow on your palm. I am the secret stream, moss beneath your feet, I am you who climbed off of my back not long ago, a sheltered song in a world now gone, petrichor, the timeless. Turn loose the swaying boat, meltwater, sound of spring. I hear our song now, sung by the free, for a thousand more tomorrows of an incomplete weave. To the meadows I go, I’ll be waiting for you once upon a lanternlight. I walk now toward the trees, I am the secret stream, the night falling at my feet into the forest of Yesterwynde.
Floor said in an interview she cried when she heard the song for the first time and when Tuomas told the story what is it. Tuomas is a true master when ot comes to ballads, they truly are beautiful. Hope you will be ok and stay safe. ❤🙏
@@CoachCastTV Good people say good things, thanks to you both,I recently lost my sister at the age of 58 to stage 4 cancer, this song means allot, thank you Tuomas .
Pure Floor. I love this song. Btw, this song was Floor's pick for a single, it made her cry when she first heard it (I had the same reaction to this song, it's so touching). Tuomas lost his father a few years ago and he wrote this song out of that emotion. The message is to enjoy life, as it's beautiful and should be celebrated instead of grieved when it ends.
A beautiful ballad. That's what I heard, that this was the first song Tuomas wrote after his father's passing. Album vocals were recorded at Floor's home studio in Sweden. She said it was about 6 weeks after 2nd daughter Lucy was born. Last track on the album, the song ends with the movie projector winding down sound. The first track on the record starts with a projector winding up sound. Good luck with the storm. "Scaretale' by Nightwish would fit for Halloween. Music video and Official live have Anette and Marko on vocals.
Thanks for that suggestion. That's a cool tidbit about the movie projector...very artistic. We hope we'll get through OK, we're inland far enough that they are not recommending evacuation here.
Lanternlight is breathtakingly gorgeous ❣️ Not able to listen to this with dry eyes, it goes straight to your soul. It’s so fragile and strong at the same time. What a gorgeous piece of music composed by Tuomas and so emotionally sung by Floor. Tuomas said that Lanternlight is a song of love to celebrate live of the people that passed. In this case mainly his dad. My favorite song from the new album followed by An Ocean of Strange Islands.
Nothing ever dies . In Physics we say that energy is tranforming but never dies. The human soul is Gods energy, it can't die. Very nice song. I really liked your reactions!
Gorgeous in every respect. As a long time Nightwish fan, this is one of my very favorite albums. Tuomas, Floor, Troy, and the entire band, along with the orchestra and choir, simply perfect. Love it and thank you both for this reaction.
Nice reaction, this is the last track of the trilogy. I too have lost my parents and my wife in the last 2 years, father and wife Cancer prevailed. Long battle for my wife and I since 2016 when the cancer was diagnosed. This song what I call another Masterpiece from Nightwish can hit a person very deeply and hard, and I agree with your viewpoints, great reaction.

Hi Love Floor's lower register ❤.Im from Canada 🇨🇦. In case you're wondering that H tattoo next to her ring is for Hannes. Hannes also has a F on the same finger. Floor is an Amazing singer and person.
Within roughly a year and change Floor did a solo album, started a tour on it, was simultaneously prepping for a NW tour, then diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery and then chemo, got pregnant ,then started her solo and NW tours AT THE SAME TIME, at least once opening as Floor and closing the same show with NW while pregnant, and only stopped after collapsing backstage from exhaustion I think while maybe 7 months pregnant... 6 weeks after giving birth started recording the vocals for current NW album....the album containing this song... Serious Valkyrie spirit indeed, and has to have to have core muscles of steel to sign 6 weeks after birthing ...most have issues moving comfortably at all at that stage....
Hi coach and Mrs coach! You must listen to "The Greatest Show on Earth" live in Tampere, Finland. It's one of the best Nightwish song and concert ever.
Most beautiful song on the album, incredibly touching. There are not many singers who can transfer emotions to listeners like Floor can. As for scary song, there's Scaretale (sung by the 2nd singer, Anette Olzon), a must for Halloween. Thanks for your reaction and stay safe
Thanks for this reaction. Yeah, the greatest living poet in the english language might just be a Fin named Tuomas Holopainen. And when you have a voice like Floors giving voice to you lines, together with Troy's... if you like more of that, check out "how's the heart" accoustic version. That one is from their "human nature" album, the last one before this. there's a verse in there written for Floor by Tuomas, about her family and the birth of their first daughter. The accoustic version was so well received they occasionally did that one on tour. Thanks again for this video and see you next time.
It's sad you lost your parents both at a young age. I lost my father aged 63 and still think of that as young. Thankfully, my mum lived till she was 82. An age that was much older than her health indicated ahe would live. My mums doctor stated years ago that she wouldn't live to see 40. The same doctor saw her well past that age and was quite stunned she was still in the land of the living. It's so great that you have such a fondness for your parents and that you wanted to preserve the memories. You obviously had a happy family life. In my work and in my volunteering capacity from the past, I have come across people who have or had parents who didn't care for their offspring. The most important thing in life is family.
Sorry for your losses as well, your Dad was definitely young. Coach had a great family life overall, and certainly appreciates all the great memories. You never know how long you have on this earth.
@CoachCastTV That's true. I have a few friends, but little family left. The closest is my brother, about 4000 miles away in San Francisco. We do speak to each other over the Messenger phone, and we see each other's present on Sociak media.
Starting deep and low... This sounds like her solo album, I think Tuomas likes the variety of her singing. The pocket watch to wind... The old style film projector, a “Magic Lantern”. The old flickering movies, like memories. Floor soaring away. Celebration of their lives, rather than mourning. Floor said that she chokes up too easily with this song, the band rewinds, during the sessions, to let her recover. Mmm, the warmth of her voice. “Last night brought the heaviest of snows” That sad piano about to sink below the ice. “Melting the songs of old” Reminiscences, love of the souls that have gone before. Tuomas wrote this in memory of his father. Hope you were able to get through the Hurricane safely.
Not quite what I was expecting from a Nightwish song, but I love it. Dreamy, very lyrical singing, and I especially love the tinkly piano! I'm watching this reaction on Tuesday afternoon, (5.15pm BST) so just know that you're in my thoughts as the hurricane approaches. An online friend of many years was flooded out of her home last week in N. Carolina, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you don't suffer a similar trauma in your new home. 🤞 It has occurred to me that for a while I've been meaning to mention another 'classic' British band that I'd like you to react to. The Hollies. My two favourite songs of theirs are: 'The Air that I breathe' and 'He ain't heavy, he's my brother'. 😊
Thank you. We are hopeful to escape most of the storm's fury, but a large number of people will be significantly impacted, no doubt. We are sorry to hear about your friend, NC took a beating, for sure. Believe it or not, we have heard those songs by The Hollies. Excellent music!
Oh and you two hunker down for this Hurricane coming your way, hope you make it through this without much damage or loss. It's reported that a Hurricanes like this have not happened in over a 100 years, good luck and be smart.
ITZY "GOLD" is coming out in 10/15/24. LIA is finally back after nearly a year of hiatus not promoting with the group on their previous comebacks and missing a big world tour. Hopefully you check it out then!
Tuomas wrote this song for his father after he passed away in 2021, it hits hard because I lost my father to cancer at the same year.. I hope you both will be safe, harricanes are scary but my prayers goes to you and your family. As for Halloween Nightwish, I recommend Scaretale, the official live with Anette, not sure if Floor sang this one.
It is not sentimental. Sentiment is, as Oscar Wilde mentions in De Profundis, 'unearned emotion'. The emotional strength of this song is earned, and we feel it because the lyrics, music and voice elicits a profound empathy for not only loss, but for memories of a life well lived and the powerful influence of people that have gone on our lives.
Huh. You don't seem to care for it that much .. while I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have every heard. Guess that is an example of how music effects people differently.
Halloween is the time for Halloween by Helloween. The song is the blueprint for the European power metal that dominates power metal today. The official video of the studio version is shortened, bad and not recommended. And the band is anything but scary: HELLOWEEN - Halloween (Official Live Video) This is by another band, more current and it's about vampires: AMARANTHE - Damnation Flame (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) Not Halloween either, but an invisible banshee on a deathbed: Blackbriar - Arms of the Ocean (Official Music Video) And this is a banshee as I imagine it: Seven Spires "Architect of Creation" - Official Music Video My favorite pirates can't be missed on principle: VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - Armada (Official Video) | Napalm Records And let's do some Gallic folk/fantasy, where Halloween comes from: ELUVEITIE - Aidus (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

Thank you. We are hopeful to escape most of the storm's fury, but a large number of people will be significantly impacted, no doubt. We are sorry to hear about your friend, NC took a beating, for sure. Believe it or not, we have heard those songs by The Hollies. Excellent music!
Hooked in this, Here in Homosassa, getting prepared for Milton
Best of luck to you!
Oh and you two hunker down for this Hurricane coming your way, hope you make it through this without much damage or loss. It's reported that a Hurricanes like this have not happened in over a 100 years, good luck and be smart.
Thanks...we are definitely being as cautious as we can. It's a big storm for sure.
ITZY "GOLD" is coming out in 10/15/24. LIA is finally back after nearly a year of hiatus not promoting with the group on their previous comebacks and missing a big world tour. Hopefully you check it out then!
Great to hear she is back!
Thank you!
The album starts and finish with the sound of a projector ... you should listen to the whole album at once . Greetings from NW army Sweden
I hope that approaching hurricane is gentle for you
So do we. Thank you!
Thank God you're alright. I hope for the best regarding Milton coming your way. 🙏🙏
Thank you!
❤ thank you , hope you are ok, i monitoring from here the hurricane course . My prayers for everybody to be safe and sound after this.
Many thanks. We are hopeful it will lose some strength as it approaches.
80 miles is not bad Coach.
Still I pray for you two.
Thank you! We'll take it.
Floor have made her own record for a year ago in this stile
You want a Halloween song from Nightwish- Scaretale
It is not sentimental. Sentiment is, as Oscar Wilde mentions in De Profundis, 'unearned emotion'. The emotional strength of this song is earned, and we feel it because the lyrics, music and voice elicits a profound empathy for not only loss, but for memories of a life well lived and the powerful influence of people that have gone on our lives.
Bring in the patio furniture. Good luck -- you can be sure that we're all hoping your roof stays put!
Thank you. All furniture already inside.
Next reaction to nmixx tiny desk korea!
Coach, check out “Something whispered follow me”! Best track on the new album!
Noted. Thank you!
Huh. You don't seem to care for it that much .. while I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have every heard. Guess that is an example of how music effects people differently.
Good luck with the next hurricane that's on the way.
Thank you!
Halloween is the time for Halloween by Helloween. The song is the blueprint for the European power metal that dominates power metal today. The official video of the studio version is shortened, bad and not recommended. And the band is anything but scary:
HELLOWEEN - Halloween (Official Live Video)
This is by another band, more current and it's about vampires:
AMARANTHE - Damnation Flame (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
Not Halloween either, but an invisible banshee on a deathbed:
Blackbriar - Arms of the Ocean (Official Music Video)
And this is a banshee as I imagine it:
Seven Spires "Architect of Creation" - Official Music Video
My favorite pirates can't be missed on principle:
VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - Armada (Official Video) | Napalm Records
And let's do some Gallic folk/fantasy, where Halloween comes from:
ELUVEITIE - Aidus (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
Thanks for all these. Sounds fun!

Hello from France 🇫🇷.If you want to discover France, the real one, react to "12 must regions to visits in France" from the Les Frenchies channel.Thank you
ach you dont like ballads , ha ha , i hope you stay safe .
Thank you!
puh.. not my cup of tea tbh
Yep. We all be different, hon!!! ☺ Allow yourself to enjoy the mastery/abilities displayed in things, even if they aren't your style.
The sound and face of excellence. I lost my wife last October. This hits really hard. She loved Nightwish so much, she'd love this song.
So sorry to hear of your loss!
🇬🇧 Norfolk strapped in 😊 unfortunately mrs coach would not be able to play the new album from start to finish as yet ! so spoiler alert this is the last track and ends with the sound of a projector as the first start with that same sound .
That was quite an artistic way to open and end it. Not surprising from Tuomas!
