Its funny that aesthetics are in the eye of the beholder. I personally love the OZ.1 and the silver insert looks awesome. Balance means so much when putting. Currently using a 50 dollar Wilson mallet and putting better than ever due purely from the balance keeping the face straight through my stroke. I am looking at a LAB and glad I didn't pull the trigger early. I think this in a broomstick will be in my bag by the end of 2025.

I used the prototype for 18 holes at Lab hq….this putter is not only a work of art, but a phenomenal performing putter. Mine arrives mid December 2024. Yessss!!!!!
I’ve seen many REVEALER comparisons to “normal” style putters and LAB always puts them to shame. BUT I’ve never seen a comparison to a basic center shaft putter. Please show us that comparison. Not to a goose neck or whatever … are they really that different? 👍🙏
The putt view is awesome, but if you aren't sinking any straight putts, maybe forget about adding break lol. Especially since the whole point of the putter is being able to hit your starting line consistently.
The option of the insert is very interesting…you can look for the best combination of (harder) insert face and softer ball or softer face and harder ball. Well done, Sam and team. My guess: This will be the most successful LAB putter so far
I like it but I just ordered the DF3. Loved the feel of it when trying it out and can’t beat the customization. I am sure at some point the OZ will have the same options but for me it’s the DF3.
The LAB Putter changed my game. The DF3 changed my handicap by reducing 3 & 4 putts to 2 & 3 putts and I almost never miss a close one even the ugly sliders. Huge confidence boost for sure.

After dropping $650 for my remotely custom fitted DF3 over this past summer will be hard pressed to go after the OZ LOVE my DF3, 72 deg lie angle, counter balanced. heavier head option. 36 inches with LAB 17 inch 3.0 super stroke grip and NN head marking. PHENOMENAL putter. The OZ head shape definitely looks easier on the eyes, but will not Sway me to get it.
These options sound perfect…counter balanced w/ heavier head. I just like a much softer insert feel like the white hot so hoping LAB comes out with something similar.
Looks quite a bit smaller than the DF3 which is good for some but not those looking for max forgiveness. Sound is definitely louder. I got the heavy head option for my DF3 at 37" so speed is not an issue.
It just blows my mind it's taken decades of putter research and development, billions upon billions of dollars, to finally come to the conclusion that keeping the face of the putter square through the stroke is, wouldn't you know it, a good idea.
@@JamesIoriatti-s9s That's because it's not scalable production-wise. LAB hand-balances every putter. Length, lie, shaft choice, and grip weight all affect the balance.
Unfortunately, money tends to win, a lot has been put into teaching how to use a toe hang putter, like someone said, it’s hard to build built these putters

I play a center shafted Seemore putter, but I still feel the face want to open during my stroke. I will be fitted for a “zero torque “ putter in the spring! I look forward to seeing all the left handed options that I can be properly fitted for!

@ I have only seen pictures of any LAB putters. Where I live I have to drive over 2 hours just to get to a Dick’s. Being left handed, I usually have to hope they have anything!
I currently have the Mezz Max, 2.1 and DF3. Im on the wait list for this one as well. lol. The Mezz Max has been in the bag forever but I got the others to test out but nothing beat out the Mezz Max.
Here's the problem with the revealer. The bar at the bottom is the money spot. Nobody's hands are that low putting. Pull that bar up by your hands on the revealer and watch what happens. I like the DF3 better and I honestly do not think they will ever beat it. I personally do not think sales on this will even beat the Mezz, but who knows. It looks a million times better though with alignment aids. It's definitely a step in the right direction for L.A.B
If you were to balance a putter on your finger to balance it , you would place it there because the least weight from the club would present , meaning it is putting the least pressure on the club. Anywhere else it would cause friction.
Next put the S2S and other new putters in the revealer. Companies are saying “no torque” which just isn’t true. If a putter tries to “right itself” or “find home position” then it HAS torque. LAB is the only one I’ve seen so far that will stay in any position (truly no torque). Hold up anyputter parallel to the ground and it will try to get into a certain position,except LAB, since those other putters have torque.
Best putters I have ever owned. After a small adjustment period, it's just objectively easier to putt with. I will be ordering the Oz without the insert in January.
Would definitely consider LAB disruptive, especially their marketing and social media reach. But they have people thinking, which is important. I never thought torque was an issue until watching their videos! :D But I'm a believer now. The more I putt, the more I see the advantage. If you are driving technology for other brands, you must be doing something right.
I'm not a Lab Guy but a Milled Faced Putter Insert is really not comparable to anything I've putted with coming off the face. Its in a whole separate category. The fell is extremely solid.
It should pass but because they don't have removable weights, it will only balance if completely stock. LAB rebalances every head during production so it is perfectly balanced for your lie angle and grip selection.
I have the DF2 putter but I really wish it had a soft insert face. That would be my ultimate option. Seems though they're going with smaller profile heads now as they provide insert options.
The alignment guide on the Allan putter looks far better for me. I need to go try one. It is similar to the Spider Tour X that I can instantly tell when the ball is not aligned correctly.
I think it’s more of the insert giving increased ball speed. The only issue I’d had with my lab is speed control. The putt feels good but there’s no pop off the face. Hoping the insert is the answer
The reason you say it only feels “slightly” firmer, is because you have the superstroke grip. If you had the Simple Corded or the Simple rubber, you would get more feedback.
I do like the look of the new putter, there is a definite PXG vibe on the base of the putter which I consider a good thing. I am not convinced about the zero torque concept, it is not even a new concept,Odyssey tried the same concept 15 years ago and even they might not have been the original. But it does not really matter what my view is, if the putter works for you, then it is a great putter for you.
All you have to do is face the target with your putter balanced on your finger. If the face of putter is not pointing at the target it has torque. Toe hang or face balanced putters have to be rotated toward target when u put in playing position. That is the torque part
Me looking at it...I see a resemblance to the Bobby Grace Fat Lady Swings. It's likely to be nothing like that but for me it's fat and ugly like they were 😉 Also a passing resemblance technology wise to the Back Strike for creating a forward press 🤔
The insert with its "circular" like grooving reminds me of the old Yes! putters. In fact, I putted lights out with an old center-shafted Yes! putter for a while, but the honeymoon ended and I gave it back to the friend I borrowed it from. Also, look up the Nike OZ center shafted putter. I have one of those in the garage. (OZ, hmm, interesting).

Alex I just don’t get it if your putting with the revealer when your not touching the grip then fine it stays square but as soon as you hold the grip the face goes where your hands puts it so if your of line then the putter face is of line
Can't believe there aren't more comments about him going only 1 for 9 on putts taken. Not a great look. But I guess we learned that if your path is 5 deg out to in and the face stays square to your path, you miss way left.

There's little value in the 1/9 data point from a guy who isn't fitted for this putter and isn't aiming straight. I game a Mezz Max and have tried all the others but still hit my line the best with the Mezz. That's really all you can ask for from a putter; speed and break are up to the human.
the problem is, the amount of torque created by a putter is negligible, and not an issue once you hold onto any putter. Try a test, grab the very top of your putter very lightly with 2 fingers, and let it swing back and forth like a pendulum. There's very little twisting that the head wants to do.
It all changes when you increase the lie angle. That's why they balance it to your fitted lie angle. To make it torque free. The more vertical the shaft the less torque it applies. That's why your two finger example does what it does.
@@szaw4452 if you put your other fingers lightly on the shaft below your grip to stabilize it, watch how little torque there is when you swing it. I had the sq. to sq and returned it, doesn't feel that much different than my number 7 Odyssey, and I've also tried the LAB DF3 in the store. Nothing really that different than a face balanced mallet imho.

The problem is: i have very nuanced feeling of the head turning...can i swing in an arc to accomodate a particular putter? Yes. Should i have to? No. Kudos to lab for bringing positive change and more consistency into the industry.
So, based on this infomercial I guess we can expect to see the putting stats to drop on the PGA tour for those using the LAB putter. I guess those not using the putter will have no chance to win😂😂😂
7:58: the alignement line is NOT aligned!!! I don't think is an optical illusion. To me it really looks like that on the left side there is more gap then on the right side, probably half a mm or over. If this should be used as TOUR-PUTTER, I strongly suggest to adjust that aligment.

The alan doesn’t perform to the same standards as LAB’s product in terms of staying square. There’s a comparison video on their channel

Hey all. Does the OZ.1i require the “HEAVIER” Headweight option?
I don’t know if want Adam Scott or Sergio designing my putters. If wasn’t for putting they’d both easily have 4 or 5 majors each.
the problem is, the amount of torque created by a putter is negligible, and not an issue once you hold onto any putter. Try a test, grab the very top of your putter very lightly with 2 fingers, and let it swing back and forth like a pendulum. There's very little twisting that the head wants to do.
It all changes when you increase the lie angle. That's why they balance it to your fitted lie angle. To make it torque free. The more vertical the shaft the less torque it applies. That's why your two finger example does what it does.
@@szaw4452 if you put your other fingers lightly on the shaft below your grip to stabilize it, watch how little torque there is when you swing it. I had the sq. to sq and returned it, doesn't feel that much different than my number 7 Odyssey, and I've also tried the LAB DF3 in the store. Nothing really that different than a face balanced mallet imho.
@@rickhammel9541and yet you talk about a “face balanced putter”. If the whole zero torque thing is just a gimmick, then surely so is the whole face balanced vs toe hang debate. After all, if you’re strong enough to resist any twisting and control the putter face just with your hands, it shouldn’t matter how the putter hangs at rest.
@@GeelongDevil I think it depends on your stroke, a lot of people that are more arc putters like a toe heavy blade to help them close it.
The problem is: i have very nuanced feeling of the head turning...can i swing in an arc to accomodate a particular putter? Yes. Should i have to? No.
Kudos to lab for bringing positive change and more consistency into the industry.

So, based on this infomercial I guess we can expect to see the putting stats to drop on the PGA tour for those using the LAB putter. I guess those not using the putter will have no chance to win😂😂😂
7:58: the alignement line is NOT aligned!!! I don't think is an optical illusion. To me it really looks like that on the left side there is more gap then on the right side, probably half a mm or over. If this should be used as TOUR-PUTTER, I strongly suggest to adjust that aligment.

Am I being thick? Because what I don’t understand is that once any putter is in the hands, it is surely those hands that decide whether or not the club face returns to square?
Looks like LAB is going after the Allan putter as far as shape.
If it's an Adam Scott, he'll switch next week.
