@@LetsPlayThru not going to enter since I own a DF3, plus I want someone else to be able to experience the difference these putters make. Contests on inevitably getting to 100k! We're hitting 50 degrees up here in Delaware on Sunday, can't wait to get out there. Been FREEZING, haha.
I'm loving this company. Yes, they're expensive, but each one is literally hand made and personally checked and signed off on prior to selling. We use our putters 30-35 times a round vs 12'ish times a round for our drivers. If a 2025 big name driver came out for $450, reviewers would say it's the best bang for your buck. A putter comes out for that price and it's called overpriced, even though it's a way more valuable club in your bag that's used 2.5-3x more a round than your driver. I don't like how expensive any of these clubs are, but it makes sense for putters to be creeping up there, especially when there is tangible evidence that it will help you with where the ball goes. I went from 34 ppr w/ my Ai One Double Wide to 30 ppr w/ my DF3. Results are real. Way less pulls and pushes.
@mikemartin5340 I'd like to see that data, please. Green side is where you score. Anyone can hit a fairway. I can pop a 5 iron 210, a 3 wood 245 or my driver 270, but if I 3 putt it doesn't matter. Most courses us regular folks play a driver is unnecessary. Wedge in on most par 4s, 5 iron in on most par 5s.
@@BIIIKES the average golfer loses more strokes on the tee vs the green. Also, LAB golf charges more for custom fitting than any other company, that’s bad not good.
@@Evan_Rodgers Disagree. The driver is simply not more valuable. Keeping the ball in bounds off the tee is what is valuable. The average golfer has poor course management and attempts too many hero shots throughout the round, including and especially off of the tee. Take that out of the equation, and gaining strokes around the green is where a good golfer starts scoring low. As for the cost of the fitting, I agree it's expensive, but it's also a completely different type of fitting with Lab because there are more areas of personalization than with other putters. Your putter is hand built to your specs. You don't simply pick out the putter shaft length you typically play (like you would with any other putter at the local Golf Galaxy) and then bring it to the register. There's just more to it, and it's a 1 of 1 putter built for you. That all comes at a cost when you buy something of value that's not mass produced.
What I’d like is a DF3 with that face insert. I actually prefer the look of the DF3 over the Oz1. I’ve tried the DF3 and loved everything other than the feel. Wonder if Lab has plans to add an insert to the DF3?
@@LetsPlayThru Gabe, I am curious, after you used this latest putter from LAB Golf, would you put it in the bag over your Docus designt? Ive been using the 2.1 for over a year. It has been AMAZING. The DF3 surprisingly did not feel as good to me in the small in store testing I did vs the 2.1. This OZ though is visually very appealing. The forward press is something I wont be able to move away from any more. I cant wait to test this model out.
Good review Gabe. Congrats on the increased subscribers. Hope you make 100 k soon! I’ve always said that your presenting style is probably the best on YT, so fully deserved
I’m a DF.3 user, but I’m very interested in the OZ.1; I’d do the forward leaning shaft and not a heavy putter either. The shape is much more traditional, though I’d might miss the gimme-hole ;)
Prices are crazy but if you really like golf and are trying to improve it’s a no brainer this is my 3rd lab and nothing has taken more strokes off my game
It is high, but you use this club on every hole unlike the driver that people don't hesitate to pay over $600 nowadays and use maybe 6-10 times per round.
Now this one is interesting. I have used mallet putters before and I never liked the feel of inserts. I like forged/milled head putters better. Again, I’m getting another putter from some guy on TH-cam so buying another one would be somewhat unwise but it might be something to look at in the future.
I’ve been 3d printing my own putter with a friend and we have been toying with this exact torque-less concept, just with a standard grip. Great review and you’re looking good man!
@ copper for a softer feel! My friend works for a large 3D printing company that specializes in metals and composites! Ours is an homage to a Phantom x5.5 with a Tei3 type of insert. We made a Newport prototype and it worked perfectly!
Sounds good. Interesting to see the OZ1 has the option of a square shaft with a conventional grip. I wonder if it loses anything compared to their originals with the forward lean and offset grips
Absolutely can't wait to get an opportunity to have one of these putters. This one definitely looks the best out of all of them and having the milled face is such a plus. Hopefully someday I can trade in my old reliable and shave some strokes with this beautiful work of art. Awesome video as always!

The OZ putter looks awesome. I’m a current owner of DF3 and love it. It is an adjustment over a more traditional putter but it’s really helping me line up my strokes better. With anything it takes practice to really see the progress long term. I’m about 20-22 handicap coming off a long break. With the DF3 I’m keeping 3 puts to about once every 18 holes now. Hoping I’ll improve that with more practice.

@kieranwhitton-booth5354 you are correct, Lab is zero torque, everything else is target facing, toe up, square to square, whatever they decide to call them. I'm a putter nut, owned a Bunch, Odyssey, Scotty, TaylorMade, still nothing beats my DF3. Just a lot of $ to pay for their technology.
@@douglas8213 I think the question becomes: How much is someone willing to pay to make what they have work better? LAB putters are just the putter equivalent of anti-slice drivers. People seem willing to invest in the driver but not so much in the putter.
Great video Gabe. I was in Largo yesterday in the rain. Good times. I've been waffling between and looking hard at the DF3 and the PXG Allan as I look to improve upon what I can do with the Anser Sigma2 that's in the bag. This OZ 1 throws another contender into the mix. I thought that the OZ was because Adam Scott was from AUS. Who knows. All entered into the contest. Hope you get a lot more than 100K subs.

To your point…Highly recommend anyone who is going to buy a lab send in a video and get a recommendation from their team. It’s a little bit more expensive, but I think it’s worth it.
@@LetsPlayThru Fitting for length and lie angle is great (I did it too) but it still becomes a bit unruly with the shaft options + grip options + alignment options + head weight options + now with the OZ you can pick shaft lean amount and most places dont have any of those to try out. I went to Club Champion in Canada (formerly TXG) and even they had very limited options to try. Its very hard to pick something you have no way of trying out at this price point.
L.P.T never disappoints and is always on the latest and greatest!!!!! 🔥 ⛳ Love the Legato ball been rolling them on my putting green, they feel really good. I'd go heavy /straight
Face balance of the putter needs to match the golfer’s putting stroke for the most consistent results because inconsistent putting isn’t a hardware problem it’s a ‘meatware’ one 😂 The evolution of putters from the 1950s were the brass ‘bulleye’ putter which hang toe down | to the PING Anser style which hang a a 40° - 45° angle \ depending on model based on Karsten Solheim matching toe balance to the inside - square - inside clipping style putting stroke used back in 1960. But with any arc putting stroke ball position on the arc is a huge variable affecting results why a straight stroke with face balanced putter (mallet) far more consistent - there is more variation in the balance of the balls that putter. Mallets typically balance horizontal -- i.e., ‘face balanced’ but to use it most consistently the golfer needs a perfectly straight putting stroke which is difficult to do from a parallel stance which is what led the the extra long lead shoulder anchored putting and the modified version Adam Scott uses. I find it much easier to get a straight stoke when using a mallet if I stand 45° open to the target if using a ‘pushing’ stroke with trail hand or 45° closed if letting lead arm mass hang and swing the putter similar to the pendulum effect of the long anchored putter. I get a more consistent stroke with the closed stance but because I’m very left eye dominant (also a factor in putting) I ‘see’ the line better from the open stance.
I think this OZ1 would've hit a home run if the could've used the ai technology insert that the original jailbird mini currently uses (white insert), that would be what I would be more interested in
This is a great looking putter. Putters are gonna be cheap, and there is gonna be an influx of used putters. There are gonna be a lot of people buying this putter for sure, I'm already seeing more on FB marketplace with prices cheaper than within the last 6 months.
I agree with the odd shape and looks of the LAB putters. I’m hoping that you will get the square to square Odessey putters. Also waiting to see what SC does.
I ordered the Oz in heavy weight because I typically prefer a heavier putter just like you said about yourself. But you preferred the lighter one, now I’m second guessing myself haha. Any feedback? Thanks!
Thanks for showing us the different configurations. I didn't know there were two shaft/grip options. I think your analysis at different distances is also intriguing. I do believe torque has different effects at different distances, and short putts being some of the most dramatic. I'm hoping this really helps with those 3 putts like you mentioned. And distance control at long distances is key. I'm glad to see that LAB Golf is getting into more traditional styles. I think this could be a game changer for them. Now let's just work on those price tags! Wow!
People say they look ugly, but l like them. This is probably going to be the future of golf putting. Another thing; Why do people scrimp and save on putters? It's the most important part of your game.

Love my link1, definitely getting the new OZ1 to be able to blame each putter alternatively for my lack of skillz. 😎🤝
Looks great. I'm the one that wants one but it's tooooo rich for my blood. The face looks like a Scotty.
Would love to try out one of these, has got to be an upgrade over my 20 year old mallet.
Those greens look perfect to putt on. Putter looks amazing!
New greenkeeper here. We finally have them rolling true and fast. Just in time to review all these putters
Lab is literally changing the game. Innovation works.
Really want to get a LAB putter by the spring. But with so many options, that's quite a big miss if you don't get it all right.
Or got to pga tour superstore in person they usually have plenty different models to try
This model is looking pretty good. Much easier to visually get used to.
L.P.T never disappoints and is always on the latest and greatest!!!!! 🔥 ⛳ Love the Legato ball been rolling them on my putting green, they feel really good. I'd go heavy /straight
I am looking forward to trying one! Just hope the place has a lefty in for me!
Face balance of the putter needs to match the golfer’s putting stroke for the most consistent results because inconsistent putting isn’t a hardware problem it’s a ‘meatware’ one 😂
The evolution of putters from the 1950s were the brass ‘bulleye’ putter which hang toe down | to the PING Anser style which hang a a 40° - 45° angle \ depending on model based on Karsten Solheim matching toe balance to the inside - square - inside clipping style putting stroke used back in 1960.
If you add 2 degrees of forward lean + the press pistol grip, will that add double forward lean? Customizing one now and don’t want to overdo it.
the press grip doesn't add lean as much as it gets your hands a bit more forward.
Oh man. Love my Mezz1 but this is a gorgeous product from LAB
Question... Is the insert an option or is it standard?
Im gutted i literally just ordered DF3 month or two ago and much prefer this Oz look. Price wise i assume itll be similar.
I think this OZ1 would've hit a home run if the could've used the ai technology insert that the original jailbird mini currently uses (white insert), that would be what I would be more interested in
It looks amazing 🎉
This is a great looking putter. Putters are gonna be cheap, and there is gonna be an influx of used putters. There are gonna be a lot of people buying this putter for sure, I'm already seeing more on FB marketplace with prices cheaper than within the last 6 months.
Yeah that's what I'm waiting on. Or maybe I'll get lucky with the giveaway haha
I haven't been this excited for a club release since RocketBallz! Thanks for the content!
That thing is beautiful! Oh my goodness.
I agree with the odd shape and looks of the LAB putters. I’m hoping that you will get the square to square Odessey putters. Also waiting to see what SC does.
If SC comes out with one that will break the internet!
Why wouldn't he. He's been copying others designs since he started.
@@haddenmiller4364 every company will make something similar to others at some point. We as golfers have similar tastes when it comes to eye appeal.
Better than the docus? One month left! Can’t wait!
I already have a DF3 but ordered the OZ about 10 mins after I got the notification email 🙂
I ordered the Oz in heavy weight because I typically prefer a heavier putter just like you said about yourself. But you preferred the lighter one, now I’m second guessing myself haha. Any feedback? Thanks!
Good as usual. I see a 100K glad you made it.
Many thanks for the support!
Beautiful putter. Is the face similar to the link?
So is that stock shaft lean or does it have shaft lean at 2 degrees while also having a 2 degree shaft lean handle?
Great looking putter!
This company is amazing and I could only dream of owning a beautiful clean putter like L.A.B Golf. Maybe one day 🙏
Price of clubs is generally crazy
Thanks so much for all the content
Curious about this face. Love my DF3 for accuracy but, I miss short often on avg to slower greens from lack of ball speed.
I’m definitely having to swing my DF3 harder than my Odyssey Jailbird mini on slow greens!
Wow!
Amazing review. Would love a chance to roll this putter
People say they look ugly, but l like them. This is probably going to be the future of golf putting. Another thing; Why do people scrimp and save on putters? It's the most important part of your game.
100% agree
The only L.A.B. putter that I could game so far. I could not get behind how the others looked at all.
This shape is not so daunting. I can get onboard with this!
