Do back to back if you can afford but fr just put on the perf mani it does gain over ls3 and rod mod doesn’t really do anything. The more cam you have the more gain you will get. Heads help a little on 6.2 as well and more on like a 416. Same again the more cam the more the heads would gain. If stroker, 235+ cam, heads would really put a gap between the intakes production. On a stock ls3 it wins over stock intake but the gain is much less

How do you attach a cable TB mounting bracket? Or a rail mounted regulator? Is your rod mod directly from Rick Crawford? I'd like to see another comparison besides Holdeners engine dyno.

It is drive by wire, no cable.

Why can’t you use a cable throttle body on this? Is it spacing? Can’t you just put a spacer for throttle body to run dbc?

I personally don't have any interest or experience with LS DBC stuff, so I can't answer your question.

Will it make power on a heads cam ls3!

Yes it is supposed to....check video description for advertised dyno tests.

@SilverSurfer77 I have seen the graph..but have not seen a direct engine dyno comparison to a fast 102. What intake are you replacing? I would like to see a only an intake change with a dyno graph. I have a 102 with a heads cam ls3 and changed to a fast 102 and it made no difference. I gave a big 235..the limit with no fly cutting. I'm hope you dyno.

@@GETLITUP69 yeah that is the problem with the FAST intake. No real gains for $1000 (plus whatever supporting parts are needed) unless you have a stroker, with a big cam, and reving to the moon. The OEM LS3 intake is just that amazing! I have been running an OEM LS3 intake with the rod mod treatment (done by the Maestro himself, Rick Crawford). I assume you saw Richard Holdener's LS3 intake manifold shootout a few weeks ago (or months...but it was fairly recent)?
The goal of Performance Designs was to actually make more honest power than the OEM unit. And they did that by designing the intake runners first, then worked the fuel rail around that. The OEM fuel rail location was the limitation in runner design according to them. It fits under the hood and doesn't require a firewall cut...the downside is that is it uglier than my sister!
I plan to delete the MAF and I already have a 103 Katech TB ready to go for this intake!

I find life is a balance of planning for tomorrow and also knowing that life can suddenly be finite. Live for today and get what you came for mate!

Looks nice, but I would be willing to bet that there is no performance gain over the stock manifold.

I don't think it is going to be a HUGE gain, but I would disagree with you. There will be gains over stock. That is the whole point of this manifold. All other LS3 intakes have to sacrifice intake runner design and shape due to placement of the fuel rails. This design prioritizes intake runners first. Then fuel rails last. This is the reason why the whole thing is in a big ugly tupperware tub. The gains will mostly be seen for engine combo's that desire more air and also when the throttle body size is upgraded as well. If you slap this on a stock LS3 with the stock throttlebody you are looking at a 9 (crank) hp gain. Not great. The OEM intake is amazing. Anyway...I hope to get dyno testing done on mine to see!

Richard Holdner did a huge ls3 intake manifold test with just about every manifold made, and he concluded that if you already have a ls3 manifold changing it just isn't worth it.

@@krispribanic9288I agree for most normal intake manifolds stock is usually the best as the aftermarket ones sacrifice low end heavily for top end gains. However, this is a different beast in that you don't given up low end power. I have been looking into this since 2014 when I got my LS3 powered car and I watch Richard's tests. I am familiar with the blackhole of intake manifold options.
I mean Richard said this about the XS intake:
      "Fairly impressive power gains."
"I have to commend the guys from Performance Designs, it's a good intake manifold."
      Here is his test:

Watched the test and agree that on that motor there was significant gains. I don't know if the results would be as impressive on a basically stock ls3, cam headers etc. Anyway enjoyed your video.
