Just did mine, probably should of taken a nap or something beforehand. I messed up the gator clips connecting the brake fluid resivour to the throttle. Now my brake light wont come on when I use the front brakes. Luckily kawasaki made the clips replaceable without having to buy a whole new resivour. Great video thank you for preventing me from doing any more damage to my bike lol
Thanks for this! been wanting to do this for a while on my 2012 Ninja 650. I though I needed an air hose to get of the handle grips. I will try WD-40. thanks!
Dude what accent is that? I’m from the UK so have no idea but I’ve heard it before and I love it! Also, great vid. I’m gonna do exactly this to my 650R and really appreciate the tutorial.
Tremonte - That looks freaking amazing. Will that change your riding position with the new bars or will that match exactly what the original bars were set at? I must say those new bars and levers look awesome. Thank you for sharing bro.
They are about an inch lower, and swept back more toward the tank. It leans you over some, but not near what a normal clip-on style handle bar would. It's still comfortable.
Tremonte - Nice work, the bike is getting better! 👍🏼 I do have a question for you. What size are the original handlebars by the risers area? I know that the grips area it should be 7/8, I do have a vulcan s 650 and i will like to put lower handlebars. Thanks
Hey Tremonte do you use unleaded fuel or premium fuel? That would be a good video to make with your buddies with the computers to give the facts and bust myths
I see a lot of videos that don't use the riser but then have to flip the banjo bolt on the front brake. Is it safe to assume that you DON'T have to do this if you keep the riser?
2:30 mark in your video... how do you know which bar is the throttle side ? I’ve installed these bars and on the left side there’s a gap between the grip and the bar end. The throttle side was perfect. When I look at the stock handle bars, The hole that the controls and the throttle sits on are not drilled in the exact same place as the aftermarket.
Saw they were discontinued but came back on sale and had to pick them up this time around for my 2011. Been awhile since you installed yours, how are they feeling? Any cons that you’ve noticed?
No cons at all. They are designed really well and give the bike a look it should have from the factory. Some may not like the more leaned over stance, but that's personal preference.
@@Tremonte Hey man quick question, currently cant turn left without my front brake lever hitting my windshield (It's not terrible but I prefer it wasn't touching.) I'm wondering if it's because the windshield is a crappy ebay one the past owner put on. I saw in your bazzaz vid with the bike your windshield seems a lot narrower than mine where your bar is turning into. Is your windshield OEM?
What’s the difference between the 09-11 sport bars vs 11-16 sport bars just the spacers I’m assuming right and if so all I have to do is flip the banjo if I chose the 09-11 sport bars I have a 2015 ninja 650 abs just wanna make sure
Apparently it's enough of a difference the early model style won't work on the newer due to clearance issues. Someone else had tried, but it wouldn't work.
@@Tremonte planning on changing the bars on my z650. Trying with a universal clubman style bar. If you’re interested in information afterward, do you want me to let you know?
The site was originally ran by Ducati Omaha if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, they have ended the ninja650 shop. I don't believe you can get the bars any longer.
These bars will not fit the Z650. They were designed specifically for the older Ninja 650's. There are some different style bars available for the Z, but not quite like this. Clip-ons will not work either due to clearance issues.

The link you provided for the bars says they’ve been discontinued!! Oh nooo just my luck 😔

Works like a charm. Just be sure to degrease everything really well before putting new grips back on.
Hairspray olso is really good believe or not
The website is no longer available, where I can buy these sport bars? Thanks!
I'm wondering too ! Been looking for these for a long time !

Lol. It's just a straight Southern accent. South East US.
Does anyone know where I can get bars like this in 2023? Thanks!
Did u find ?

The bars are 22mm, which is just a tiny bit under 7/8"

Do happen to have an updated link?
Bom dia. Este sport bars ainda tem pra venda? Sou do Brasil e tenho uma ninja 650 ano 11/12.
The little position nub that goes in the holes on the bars is broke …now what?

Either bar will work on either side. The throttle uses the hole closest to middle, clutch side uses the outer hole
What year? I need some for 2015, not the r model. I think it's like 650 ex or something like that. Thanks
The link for the ninja shop is no good where else can I go?
I think I seen them on ebay I was searching to see if they fit a 2017
Hi! I can change the handlebar for ninja 650 2019? I'm not find a product compatible for this bike.
Do you know what end bar links will fit the sports bar?

@@Viverino It's the OEM windshield on this bike. You can try rotating the bars some so they won't hit, or even notch the windscreen with a dremel.

im curious are you also planning to change a shorter handle bar for your z650 in the near future?
I probably won't change the Z650 for a while.

what year is this Ninja 650 you're putting them on? I have a 2017 ninja 650 and I'm looking for some sport bars for it.
2009
Tremonte ahhh dam. I really like the ninjashop sport bars and cant seem to find a decent alternative to lower my bars yet
I'm looking for something for 2017 also only seen clip ons
@@markeithlittle2660 in the few years I had my 2017 I never found a set that was what I really wanted. Ended up trading up for a zx6r anyway.
@ian h are they more comfortable than the 650
Will these bars work for the 2020-2021 model?
Unfortunately, no. I don't think they are available any longer.
Hey man, would it be possible to install the sport bars on the z650?
No, it's a completely different design.
