Ok I just did the pair valve delete with same driven block off plate and resistor .so far no f1 light thanks for your videos they are spot on !only thing is I wish I would have just used 2 vacuum caps on top and bottom would have saved 30 bucks on the block off plate.

Would these steps work the same on a 2020 model? But Just to recap as I'm doing the same thing this weekend and will soon he getting ecu flashed: Remove AIS, add block off plate, add resistor and put it all together? Am i missing a step? Thanks
I got a 2006 ninja 650r and I'm having a hard time figuring out these hoses. I replaced the plugs stater and injectors. Id like to bypass the air . But my problem is I had my tank painted and the dude got powder in the tank with gas in it and I drove it home and well I'm sure you know how I found out lol I emptied the tank what else can I do the injectors were 3 weeks old
so i put a 2008 ninja 650 engine in an ATV. i did this delete because the airbox wont fit. the F1 light still flashes. is there a wat to do a cold air intake on this?
Yes I have a fuel issue my pump is pumping a steady small stream but will not start if I put gas in carbs it will I must of missed where fuelpump relay it is I heard under airbox but where exactly
Thanks enjoyed that However, I didn't catch where you did any "block off"? So this mod deletes the air injection system that cleans up the exhaust emissions....but also reduces power?

IE: a dyno session, or if you use an auto-tuning fuel controller such as the Rapid Bike or Bazzaz ZFI Controller. I plan to dyno and tune this bike just as I did the Z650, hence the reason for a block-off/pair valve delete.
Replacing worn plugs and upgrading to a better air filter certainly can, but as for the block-off plate, no. The installation of this piece is to limit the amount of popping an aftermarket exhaust will make and it is also necessary for getting a proper air/fuel ratio during the tuning process.

You're welcome! Just make sure you install new copper exhaust gaskets on the headers. Sometimes the old ones from the factory exhaust will be left in place and easily overlooked.

Is there anywhere for mice or squirrels to easily get into the air box? I'm winterizing my bike and couldn't really see anything without tearing it down.
Oh yeah. Those bastards can get in through a tiny hole. The air box snorkels are the size of golf balls. They love making homes in there. Take the seat off during the winter to deter them
