Just wanted to say top man for sharing! tried to play ACC four times on the ps5 as it was suppose to look a lot better on ps5 to ps4 and ended up throwing my toys out the pram again. because i couldn't even get round a track once started pushing (i'm A rated on GTS & GT7) with the default set ups! you sir have opened a new door for me concerning ACC and i just wanted to say thanks. i will put a link to your video on my ACC streaming showing these work for beginners i have managed to get all the Track Trophies in 3 streams thanks to you :) I also got promoted from bronze to a silver category driver yesterday after only playing 4 times since Saturday - man on my ps4 pro account i was still only bronze after punishing myself playing with default set up for championship and career mode :/ Thanks Again :)
thank you for your content and advice...from someone who purchased set ups for the 296 from well known source i can tell you that your advice is better than what i have and now i need to study as lift off oversteer going into ascari in 296 (maybe slow down! lol) for 1.47's understeer in macca at Pouhon and big slide through Stavelot and i am losing around 1 second in chicane...all this and achieving 2.19's...thank you ❤
I'm very new to ACC but have some real world experience with setup. Lift off oversteer is caused by a drastic weight shift to the front axle. in the real world is most commonly controlled with spring weight. Fwd guys will put stiffer springs in the rear to actually encourage this, as it's harder to rotate / slip a fwd car. So a few things you could try, in order of preference: 1. increase front spring weight 2. as he suggests in the video, play with the bump stop range. try give the front less range 3. decrease rear swaybar stiffness 4. decrease rear rebound damping. Try just one change at a time. Let me know if any of that helps, and good luck!
This may not give me my fastest lap, but after trying for an hour at Barcelona and COTA, this setup advise is amazing. I'm so consistent now it crazy. Thanks 🙏
I liked the video to begin with, just thinking that’s the right thing to do after somebody bothers to make an effort. I’ve tried a few other suggestions provided by other TH-camrs with no success possibly due to my driving style. Well, I tried it tonight over a couple of races and what a difference!! I had to subscribe. Thank you as it’s made a massive difference to my driving. ❤
I can not believe this, I've tried payed set up and copying fast lap set ups and never managed anything better than the aggressive set up. I've been playing Acc for a couple years now and was happy having mid pack battles with avarge lap times at Monza been mid 1.51s and a pb of 1.50.2 I did you set up and went straight into a race at monza no practice, no quali By the end of the race I was avargeing mid 1.48s and a pb of 1.47.8 Same experience on Spa and Bathurst. Now I wana keep pushing to see we're I can get to rather the playing around mid pack. Thanks you so much your my new hero
Thank you! Absolute game changer for me, I'm less than 150 hours in and have really needed the help- this does it. Copied the settings last night with the Aston V8 & Ferrari 296 - dropped .8 around Barcelona in the Aston and dropped just over a second in the Ferrari - can't wait to dig into part 2.
This setup and explanation was awesome, instantly improved the 992 over both the standard setups and those from Coach Dave Academy (WAY too much oversteer and instability). Almost instantly gained a second at Spa and expect with a few tweaks will find another easily. Far more planted through Eau Rouge.
TOP!
Holy crap! This was so incredibly helpful. I have been driving around Zandvoort for a couple weeks now and struggling to get below a 1:42. I tried this setup in the McClaren 720s evo, and not only did I get a 1:39:9, but the previous 3 laps were in the mid 1:40s. I thought I may just be a garbage driver lol, but this makes the car so much more controllable. Cant wait to try in on other tracks!
If your driving macca you need to use something competely different then what this guy is showing here, alot of stuff in this video doesn’t even make sense for the 296 let alone other cars. What he uses here will kill your laptime
Indeed if your driving a 1,35 or 36 on Zandvoort this is complety useless but most of us are struggeling to get a 39 laptime, and a eindstein complicated setup guide will not help the beginners or novice players getting to play around with setups

The only setup which works for me. Makes me 2s faster on every track - awesome. Thank you!
Thanks so much for posting this video. I have been struggling a bit with 296 but this set up has made it more predictable and controllable. A great place to start! Cheers again 😁
Just to let you know. I tried your base setup in part one and went to practice at Misano. Now, I am a serious Rookie but, I knocked almost 2 seconds off my lap time. I'm not fast but, I am a consistent and clean slow. I put my times into the 1.39's Wanted to say "Thanks" for giving us a place to start. Now, on to part 2. Great info and channel!👍🏁
Thank you so much. You are a legend. I'm playing vs IA just for fun with a generic wheel but this improved a lot of spin and oversteer situations. Greatly appreciate the explanation on every setting!
I actually know a lot of therotical stuff about setups but it doesn't really work for me when I start from the default presets. But with your base setup everything suddenly works and is such a night and day difference. I did a setup for the v12 and even the tc didn't cut as aggressively anymore as it did with the presets. Thanks to that I won the split 3 legacy race. So thank you very much for sharing.
have about 11 hours on acc (bought it last week) and i didnt know what to do with the base setup and was slow. with these setting the car feels much less understeery and more towards what i want the car to feel like. thank you :)
Thank you so much... I have not improved my lap times (yet) but I find myself being infinitely more accurate and consistent during my tests, I understand how my car is and will behave and overall it is so lovely to drive. I am testing these settings on the McLaren 720s Evo.
Very nice video. In order to apply your method, i decided to make an ACC blancpain championship with the old bentley, starting from zero regarding setup. I am not that quick, but what I immediatelty could see is the improvment in consistency. I use the small widget in ACC, and I am able to align easily many laps in a row at zolder (first race of the championship) with all sectors in green regarding consistency. It means that I have a stable control of the car, and that about every lap is the same at every place on the track , and that lap after lap. It is the basis of improvment. I will do the first race (45 min), analyse the results, and then have some changes (your second video), and see if I can improve on the overall performance (currently stable 1:31.1 on zolder with this bentley 2015 ). Thanks for sharing
Thanks for this video, seriously ... this changes a lot my times in the game at least 1 to 2 seconds depending of the track, but really good advises. I hope you will still making some of this kind of content in the future
Thank you for educating me, subscribed, it is so informative, and learnt so much from your video not just about ACC but the mechanics how each of these tweaks will impact the car.
Well I be darned. Tried it and hit same lap times as a CD right away. Tried it on a very hot track as well and worked right out of the box although I did tweak it a bit to help temps. Nice one.
For different reasons I decided not to go further with my ACC Blancpain championship. I decided instead to apply your method to the BMW M4 GT3 on all tracks. Just your Base setup proposal on all tracks. My conclusion is that for my driving it works very well. I am not quick, but the car is a joy to drive on every track, with a lot of consistency. Very good balance. I can place the car easily , very stable, no problems on the curbs. No problem at all, except on Suzuka. For a reason I can not explain, the BMW is behaving like on ice on this track , understeer everywhere , and so on. It is like this track has another grip level as all the other tracks in ACC. After that, i am currently applying your method to the Mc Laren 720S evo. I have currently only made two tracks, Paul ricard and Brands hatch. Again the car is fun and easy to drive, very forgiving. I enjoy it a lot. For a reason I can not explain, I am about 2" per lap quicker with this car on both tracks. Maybe it is that my driving is more adapted to rear/central engine as front engine ? Maybe is the gear box more adpated to my driving style ? I currently don't know the reasons of this difference, i will see if I can confirm that on other track or not. The fact is that the Mc Laren is a lot quicker. I will update this when I will have completed your Method on all tracks for the Mc Laren 720 evo
Great to hear you can work with the baseline and use it to create something you own! Good stuff. Some cars can suit you better than others. This video is already 11 months old; try some lower wing settings on the McLaren. And take off the front splitter to 0 or 1. See where it gets you
Amazing video, this is why I’m sad that these gaming companies don’t offer digital manuals with clear understanding of each item you mentioned as detailed as you also explained as to the cryptic messaging they show to the right of each within the game…they don’t make things fully clear, as if we’re all supposed to be car people with engineer backgrounds or something… your explanations along with jardier S too, has helped me get back into ACC again. As it became too frustrating in past until now…much thanks. Happy holidays.
HOLY SHIT! I tried it on the lambo evo, and even without adjustment, I started setting new records instantly... and while I didn't shave off as much time as others in the comments (I'm still not that familiar with the tracks and the lines as a beginner), my consistency went through the roof. After every lap, it was much easier to gain time with adjustments to my driving, since I didn't have to fight the car at all and I only had problems when I started braking to late or too early, but the car was suddenly doing exactly what I wanted it too. The only deviation I took was setting the brake bias to 52% as someone else suggested.
So, today was the day. Me, as a Noobe watched your Video now for the 3rd time and did the adjustments and look at this, i am a Race driver now , 2 Seconds faster on Brand Hatch and the Car feels realy good to drive. Thank you so much , 1000 Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍

Thanks again, Nick the 64 yr old sim racer!!
Yourre welcome Nick great to hear it is helping you out! And being 64 absolutely awesome most people of your age would not even consider this hobby they are missing out mate!
Mannn, I really sucked at Mount Panorama, my time was 2:18, just couldn't handle the car in this track, every time i tried to get a little bit faster, immediately got blown off from the track. This was really frustrating... Tried you're preset now on Nissan GT3, got my time from 2:18 to 2:06!!! Counldn't believe that just a simple preset can make such difference. Car goes through corners dammn good. For a sim racer with G29 wheel, this makes total difference. Thank you!
Crazy this! My cars literally srick to the track now! Perhaps a bit too much, the Porsche in really understeery, currently just raising the ride height

@@SimracingArnout ok but never thing else works as what’s in the video I take it? Apart from the question above I’d like to thank you so much for your videos as I know it takes time to do with a family and work. I’m 55 years old and on ps5. Been gaming for about 30 years and just getting into ACC. Got a thrustmaster t-gt2 bundle and loving it so far but ACC is a big learning curve trying to adapt from gran turismo 7. So thank you for your time and patience 👍
Its not really necessary to do the min/mac setting on the front damping. On almost every car I use a more traditional front Damping and the min/max damping on the rear! The min/max damping in the rear isnt technically about being faster, its more about tire wear! For example i used Stock front damping on the McLaren, BMW, AMG and the min/max damping on the rear at Laguna last week. All 3 vehicles were averaging 1:22.3/4 lap times I also find some cars like the McLaren i use 11/10 anti roll and with the AMG ill use lower values like 3/4 or even 2/3. The super fast guys like the top eSports guys create very fast but loose set ups! With a few adjustments you can make very quick yet stable set ups like using a more traditional damping on the front! The Ferrari is also different then most other cars when it comes to 2400 on the rear and lower bump stops. On many cars i found increasing the front Bump stop up to 8-18 and the rear down to 25-16 helps make the car much more stable on corner entry.. Wheel rates yes use the low or 1 click up! Or 1 click up and minimum on rear for some cars! Theres lots of ways one can be quick and even fast but many of the exploits help drastically with tire wear. Esp rear tire wear! Using the min/max damping on the rear helps keep the rear tires from wearing out. Many times my fastest lap times are my last 2 or 3 laps meaning ive lost very little or no rear grip as the tire wears down.. While you can still be very fast using a motec dialed in rear damper your rear tires tend to wear out after 10-12 laps
I got into sim racing about 8 months ago. Unfortunately, I got a ps5 instead of a gaming pc, didn't spring for monza or fanatec wheel base either. So the logitech is limited. But your advice helped tremendously, and I just wanted to thank you! The struggle has been real.
I have a question about the max camber one of the cars I am using has negative 5 camber front and rear as max should only do -4 front and -3.5 in the rear or should I use -5 front -5 rear for the McLaren 650s
@SimracingArnout i can't use i'm on Xbox. But i've done baseline Settup with your guide and works with some changes. It turns, and break. I leave It if need some one. 1. Wheels Font: -0.1/-4/9,1 Back: 0.01/-3,3 (better traction) 2. Electrónica TC1: 1 ABS: 3 Ecu: 1 Tc2: 10 or 11 3. Mechanical Front: 6/49%/11 Back: 2/00 Wheels: Front: Min/300/9 Back: Min/300/18 4. Suspensión 3/3/13/12 5. Aero (For me works better rake 3.9/ 4.0) Front: 55 Rear: 65/12
@@dvont1383 no problem! On every track, you find all 4 tires heat up and cool down differently. So the baseline pressure is different. Check out the part 2 of this video as well to go deeper into this material
Your setup is great. But it’s all about the driver. I did 1:45 with your setup at Zandfoort which was the same as just the plain old aggressive setup in the McLaren 720. I watch you drive it and you knock out sub 1:40’s no problem. I was hoping to get my LFM license but am so far off I can’t see where those 5 seconds are going to come from. Your videos are great sir. I will continue to watch.
That must be frustrating, but i think it is important to understand that these 5 seconds are there somewere : in the braking, racing line, conerspeed, and exiting the corner how early you hit the trottle etc, practice every dat for a 30-45 minutes this sim can be hard to master in the beginning
What i can absolutly recommend is the detailled Track guide from Nils Naujoks. he really explains meter by meter all breakmarkers, turning points, etc especially for the licence track. th-cam.com/video/WZZra0Q5f6M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Xmdg067OIIbdo590

Just wanted to say top man for sharing! tried to play ACC four times on the ps5 as it was suppose to look a lot better on ps5 to ps4 and ended up throwing my toys out the pram again. because i couldn't even get round a track once started pushing (i'm A rated on GTS & GT7) with the default set ups! you sir have opened a new door for me concerning ACC and i just wanted to say thanks. i will put a link to your video on my ACC streaming showing these work for beginners i have managed to get all the Track Trophies in 3 streams thanks to you :)
I also got promoted from bronze to a silver category driver yesterday after only playing 4 times since Saturday - man on my ps4 pro account i was still only bronze after punishing myself playing with default set up for championship and career mode :/
Thanks Again :)
Awesome comment man!
thank you for your content and advice...from someone who purchased set ups for the 296 from well known source i can tell you that your advice is better than what i have and now i need to study as lift off oversteer going into ascari in 296 (maybe slow down! lol) for 1.47's understeer in macca at Pouhon and big slide through Stavelot and i am losing around 1 second in chicane...all this and achieving 2.19's...thank you ❤
Absolutely awesome comment man! Thanx
So a few things you could try, in order of preference:
1. increase front spring weight
2. as he suggests in the video, play with the bump stop range. try give the front less range
3. decrease rear swaybar stiffness
4. decrease rear rebound damping.
Try just one change at a time.
Let me know if any of that helps, and good luck!
best explanation of how to use bump stops i've come across, awesome!
Great to hear thanx for your comment!
I can not believe this, I've tried payed set up and copying fast lap set ups and never managed anything better than the aggressive set up. I've been playing Acc for a couple years now and was happy having mid pack battles with avarge lap times at Monza been mid 1.51s and a pb of 1.50.2
I did you set up and went straight into a race at monza no practice, no quali
By the end of the race I was avargeing mid 1.48s and a pb of 1.47.8
Same experience on Spa and Bathurst. Now I wana keep pushing to see we're I can get to rather the playing around mid pack.
Thanks you so much your my new hero
So you masterd ACC you just needed a different setup approach! Witch car you used? Thanx for the comment!
Using the 720 evo
Yeah seems that way though I was just a slow driver
First class matey, you just found me half a sec on Kyalami and the car feels so much more predictable with no lift-off oversteer. Much appreciated :)
thank you, this changes made me 3 seconds faster on mount panorama! just suscribed waiting the next videos
Awesome mate! Enjoy the content there's even more coming
This setup and explanation was awesome, instantly improved the 992 over both the standard setups and those from Coach Dave Academy (WAY too much oversteer and instability). Almost instantly gained a second at Spa and expect with a few tweaks will find another easily. Far more planted through Eau Rouge.
Great to hear man!
TOP!
Super dat je er mee overweg kan!
Great Improvement!!
Thank you!
Thank you for this. It honestly feels like a cheat code. I took 3 seconds off my best aggressive lap. This is my default on all tracks now.
Awesome!
Very helpful overall, especially your explanation of the bumpstop range was perfect, very clear. Thank you for this video !
Awesome job on explaining things on setups very well done appreciate the time you take to make sure it makes sense to everyone 👌🏻
Thanks!
I put my times into the 1.39's
Wanted to say "Thanks" for giving us a place to start.
Now, on to part 2.
Great info and channel!👍🏁
A great way to start man! you can build from consistant standpoint. Im thinking about a part 3 as well but i dont want to make it too complicated
@@SimracingArnout I say "Bring It".👍
Guy, you are great! Not only faster times but a lot of consistency with all your tips! The best acc setup video ever! Graziee
Thanx man consistency will get you that podium at some point👌
Thank you so much. You are a legend. I'm playing vs IA just for fun with a generic wheel but this improved a lot of spin and oversteer situations. Greatly appreciate the explanation on every setting!
I actually know a lot of therotical stuff about setups but it doesn't really work for me when I start from the default presets. But with your base setup everything suddenly works and is such a night and day difference. I did a setup for the v12 and even the tc didn't cut as aggressively anymore as it did with the presets. Thanks to that I won the split 3 legacy race. So thank you very much for sharing.
Winning podiums with some new knowledge is such a great thing!
have about 11 hours on acc (bought it last week) and i didnt know what to do with the base setup and was slow. with these setting the car feels much less understeery and more towards what i want the car to feel like. thank you :)
Have fun with acc man! What car your using?
@@SimracingArnout not mainly using any car yet, still trying to get a feel for them, but if i had to say one i would say the merc
Massive help, thank you!! The car immediately feels better and your video really explains the effects of set up changes
Great to hear man! Everybody should be able to some tweaks on setup
M8 this is the best video I’ve ever seen my Laguna seca lap time went from 130 all the way to 125 just from this setup thank you like im so hyped 😂😂
I applied this setup to the Porsche 991 ll gt3 r 2018
Haa nice man, you had the skills you just needed a setup
Wow thanks for sharing this information I hit my fastest lap on my first flying lap you are now my favourite TH-camr 💪😂
Thank you so much... I have not improved my lap times (yet) but I find myself being infinitely more accurate and consistent during my tests, I understand how my car is and will behave and overall it is so lovely to drive. I am testing these settings on the McLaren 720s Evo.
I tried it on the 296 gt3 and was blown awaay!! Great video
Glad i could help!
Awesome thanx for this comment
Thanks for this video, seriously ... this changes a lot my times in the game at least 1 to 2 seconds depending of the track, but really good advises. I hope you will still making some of this kind of content in the future
There's a part 2 and 3. and a lot more Thanx for the comment
Thank you for educating me, subscribed, it is so informative, and learnt so much from your video not just about ACC but the mechanics how each of these tweaks will impact the car.
Noice man hope it helps!
Well I be darned. Tried it and hit same lap times as a CD right away. Tried it on a very hot track as well and worked right out of the box although I did tweak it a bit to help temps. Nice one.
Nice to see that after almost a year people still getting value from this video! Thank you for the comment
Love it. Gonna try on my first run.
You going to have a solid foundation with this preset
fast safe and tire-friendly, gj mate
See where it gets you
After a year of trial and error you got me in the right ball park - Thank you :)
Awesome!
@@SimracingArnout Mate , My driving experience has improved so much . night and day difference 🍻🍻🍻
@Virtual_Citizen great! what car you are using?
@@SimracingArnout Mclaren 720S , it's driving like a dream . I turned rear down force to 3 racing on full Nurbring , best racing I've ever had
Thanks for this. Knocked nearly 2 secs off my Imola lap time in a Merc GT
2 seconds gain is a lot! Great
Amazing video, this is why I’m sad that these gaming companies don’t offer digital manuals with clear understanding of each item you mentioned as detailed as you also explained as to the cryptic messaging they show to the right of each within the game…they don’t make things fully clear, as if we’re all supposed to be car people with engineer backgrounds or something… your explanations along with jardier S too, has helped me get back into ACC again. As it became too frustrating in past until now…much thanks. Happy holidays.
Great man thanx for your comment theres a lot more coming
Thanks for the tips, I'm impressed👍
Yess glad it helps!
This sounds dumb but it actually works so it’s not dumb. Thank you buddy. You’ve made some drivers improve their lap times ❤
Thanks a bunch, used your set up and the car felt more stable. Keep up the good work
So, today was the day. Me, as a Noobe watched your Video now for the 3rd time and did the adjustments and look at this, i am a Race driver now , 2 Seconds faster on Brand Hatch and the Car feels realy good to drive. Thank you so much , 1000 Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍
MY my...thats what I tagged this set up for Mclaren 720 Evo and all tracks! Its awesome! I have been on ACC for abit over 2 years now ...Never seemed to get faster on bought setups and I have tried a few! Loaded this setup and to date i have shaved off 12 seconds on Spa!!! and 4-6 seconds on other tracks!! Thank you for your time and effort of helping other sim racers!! tip is coming! Thanks again, Nick the 64 yr old sim racer!!
Yourre welcome Nick great to hear it is helping you out! And being 64 absolutely awesome most people of your age would not even consider this hobby they are missing out mate!
Your video changed the game for me thank you 🤘👍 liked and subscribed
@chrissteele9225 great start enjoying the best gt3 sim mate
Dude, my first try of this setup, I got pole position 2 times in a row.🎉 at Paul Riccard
Liked, subscribed. Thank you for those detailed explanations mate !
Thank you!
Comments like these are making TH-cam worthwhile man Thank you
Great video, thanks for explaining how the different elements work as well 👍
Thanx for the comment mate
Crazy this! My cars literally srick to the track now! Perhaps a bit too much, the Porsche in really understeery, currently just raising the ride height
Gained me 5 seconds on spa, couldnt get passed a 2.28.1 now running consistent 23s and been in 22, constantly oversteered even on TC6 now managing on 3 great set up on a 720s
Best explanation I have watched.
Great explanation. And I understood the first time watching. Haha Thanks man👍👍
Nice good luck with your first setup builds
Thank you so much for this video.
thanks this was good and fast
I found the ride too harsh with the 720 evo. However, did manage to shave some lap time with a combination of this and aggressive setups.
It isnt by all means a perfect setup but it gets you going with some improved base values
Your video was supremely Boss! Thank you for the the explanations to each setting that you highlighted. I wish that you were on PS5 so I can test this against you.
Hahaa join the pc club at some point mate we can race!
Topgast!..sws weer meer inzicht in rijgedrag..thx!
Thank you. I will definitely try them out tomorrow.
Did you say front splitter max?
Not anymore! Front splitters dont really work but i didnt know at the time
@@SimracingArnout ok but never thing else works as what’s in the video I take it?
Apart from the question above I’d like to thank you so much for your videos as I know it takes time to do with a family and work. I’m 55 years old and on ps5. Been gaming for about 30 years and just getting into ACC. Got a thrustmaster t-gt2 bundle and loving it so far but ACC is a big learning curve trying to adapt from gran turismo 7.
So thank you for your time and patience 👍
@@artfull_dodger__ yeah man
Its not really necessary to do the min/mac setting on the front damping.
All 3 vehicles were averaging 1:22.3/4 lap times
I also find some cars like the McLaren i use 11/10 anti roll and with the AMG ill use lower values like 3/4 or even 2/3.
You know what yourre talking about! Thanx for the comment.
Love it!! Got my sub💯💯
Cheers, thanks a lot for sharing, i know you have earned the information through hard work, bless your heart :)
Thanx mate your one of the first to acknowledge that!
Set up works well as base. Thanks for the tips. Can't seem to get better than 1:49 at monza. Seems slow in str8s
Yeah watch part 2 for a top speed setup
I got into sim racing about 8 months ago. Unfortunately, I got a ps5 instead of a gaming pc, didn't spring for monza or fanatec wheel base either. So the logitech is limited. But your advice helped tremendously, and I just wanted to thank you! The struggle has been real.
This is great bro, it´s like im playing a different game. dont know if its fast but nnow i can control the car. thank u so much
Tried it with the 296 on Imola and drop my best time by .400. I was like WTF. Very nice ! Thanks
Ooh yeah man if i only could find 0.4 more pace somehow haha
Hahaha. I’m far from being alien. Just went from 1:43.200 too 1:42.800
@@jean-francoisrenaud8389 driving 42's on imola is nothing to be ashamed of man. Even if you found another second there will be always faster racers.
I have a question about the max camber one of the cars I am using has negative 5 camber front and rear as max should only do -4 front and -3.5 in the rear or should I use -5 front -5 rear for the McLaren 650s
Great question! Do the max and see how it behaves. If your are happy don't change it

Works same on HONDA NSX EVO?

When you said put the settings the % of the bar. Do you mean of the actual bar or the % of the number the bar can go to?
% of a slider. don't focus on the slider number, 25% is like 1/4 filled slider. makes sense?
@@SimracingArnout yessir. appreicate it. I was focused on the number. Thank you for the reply

@@SimracingArnout The 2019 Lambo Evo
What would the adjustments be to the base setup for rainy conditions?
That i actually dont know yet
