    I went for the "recommended beginner" car, when I started with ACC. Didn't like the recommended. Saw a video, where it was said; "Choose the car you like the most and learn to use it" Since then I am only using Porsche. Took some time to control the beast, that Porsche is. Also did my LFM license in Porsche. Porsche for me, no matter what others say. Porsche is the car I luv, and by that I have fun and with fun, I drive more and by that get more experience. IMHO, drive the car you like the most for what ever reason that might be and learn to control it. They all have advantage and disadvantages!. Later you can change to a car that fits your driving style or stick to the one you started with. But before you learn to drive a car, you have no clue about your driving style.

      @@SimracingArnout - It is a good thing indeed. 😎 Now you explain to me, how I can stay away from sim-racing since February 2022 (did LFM races and all that jazz), begin racing again few days ago, jump into the Audi, use the aggressive setup, run few laps, adjust the tire pressure and then do a PB on a track 😜😂 Keep in mind, I am getting near 60, not been racing for little more than 2 years, not even driving a car IRL. Never been driving the Audi R8 LMS EVO II, using the (you called it broken) aggressive setup and beating my personal best 🤔🤔🤔 Isn't that just funny 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    Thanks for the video! For some reason i began driving the Porsche when it came out (first the 2019 version and now the 2023 version) and I still drive it. Top speed is an issue but with the LFM BoP the situation improved, even at Monza i can defend myself quite well. The real issue I have is with the car becoming unstable when the tank empties, also the tires' grip seems to suddenly disappear until they stabilize, but even during a quick race i always have those 1-2 laps where the car is crazy before i can tame it again.

    My favourite has become the bentley and now the -39kg on monza lfm bop has gave it steroids. On the straights in monza there is nothing faster, at the start I nearly always pull on everyone in it. I always found it the most consistent car and best for long stints. I choose the 296GT3 for my league racing , after mclaren , because mclaren was sliding too much with my driving style and killing tires , Im trying to go on throttle asap or dont lift throttle at all (use it within 5-7%) , with mclaren it gave me slide but with ferrari it gives me advantage on mid-speed corners , after mac ferrari feels like grip eater. but acceleration is problem in some corners and bumps could be taken if you raise a front a little bit.Also you forget to add that ferrari have really good traction control

    I wish there was another way to BoP the cars, because the 720s EVO in Mount Panorama was an awful experience for me in LFM, so much that I didn't race that week. It's like the weight destabilize the car and it's takes even longer to brake. I'm not good enough to adjust to weird weight behavior changes in a car, I'd rather let's say have less acceleration instead.

    • @SimracingArnout
      @SimracingArnout  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah the weight is great but it isnt perfect.

    • @rankisdumb214

      They add too much weight due to its hot lap times! Adding that weight really messed up the McLaren due to its lack of acceleration.
      It's a high downforce car! It's fast in the corners so adding weight takes that away and makes it a snail on the str8!!!

      Same here. Love the way the Porsche drives but it's on a knife's edge at all times and the top speed makes it kinda hard to be competitive sometimes. Whereas I found the Audi to drive the most similar to the Porsche without a lot of the downsides. Just that it's another scary to drive car since it also wants to kill you at all times but it does feel a lot more competitive when it wants to comply

      I suggest to learn how to do a good setup. With same car, each track need its own setup. Work from aggressive setup or use Fri3d0lf safe setup for that track and adjust accordingly to YOUR driving style. As Arnout, I also suggest to stick with one car for at least a couple of LFM seasons. Meanwhile you can practice with other cars and see if you can find a secondary car you luv to drive.

      @SimracingArnout  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Dont recommend other channels here man use my advice only.. I'm joking, I do find the aggressive preset broken, i usually start with my own and find a baseline for all tracks and then I tweak the track-specific

      @@SimracingArnout - I know it was controversial to mention others. 🤣 But as getting near 60 years old, I think we are all better off trying to help each other, instead of fighting each other and keeping good advice to ourselves. IMHO We all will greatly benefit from that. Just getting older and wiser 😜 You yourself could benefit from that also. Think about it this way: Help people to grow their own crops is by far better, than growing your own and hand over what you can spare. Reason is, if we all learn to grow our own crops, we will have a much bigger and better party for all of us. As I am in a world wide organisation that is based on donations rather than charging fees, we are all doing good and those who can afford, help those in need. It makes every one happy. It is win-win-win and even more win situation. Cheers mate and sorry for having a good heart and just want to help. Stay tuned, keep on track and be a good lad. It will pay of in the end. I promise!!! 😎🙏

      @@SimracingArnout - The aggressive setup is not broken (wrong word to use! and might be better to say not updated to this new version or not as good as could be), but sure not the best. But it very much comes down to our driving style. That is a very important thing, that many people forget to mention or don't want to mention. Also what gear do people have, is it old used driving wheel that no longer is that precise etc etc. I am a very cautious and careful driver, so I can basically drive any car no matter the setup. No, I will never be among the top 10, but I am here to have fun, not to reach to the top. Again, our approach is different. Still we want a good setup, that suits our own style and what we find good. My "excellent" setup, you might find rubbish and visa versa. It's good to keep those things in mind. Cheers and please keep doing videos. You have a good mind in general and openminded. Also cool homemade driving rig you have made. Keep going mate. 🙏

    Porsche ist digital. 0 oder 1. Entweder man liebt ihn oder er hasst Dich. Ich fahr den 992 permanent und für mich kommt nix anderes in Frage. Auch wenn er häufig mit mir fährt und nicht umgekehrt.
