    This still works in ACC 1.10. If you want Nordschleife specific setup tips, I made a dedicated video, because some settings are different there: th-cam.com/video/BP18HfYhgHU/w-d-xo.html
    Thank you so much to everyone watching, liking and subscribing, you're amazing! And a special shoutout to Mowgli for the 10 € donation via streamelements, thank you so much! 😊
    There are of course more settings you could adjust. But hopefully this will get you started with your own setups way easier. Let me know how you get on! 😊
    Also I know I haven't touched on wet setups at all. If you want to see that, leave a like on the video and I'll make sure to get that to you soon!

    What can I say. Have been playing ACC a while now and never got to grips with the setups. Literally given up several times and come back because I love rl racing and sim racing. For the first time I actually feel in control of my bloody car. This guy assumes you don't know anything but gives you enough knowledge to understand. Potential teachers, vid makers take note. Thank you mate you have just made a fellow sim racer very happy 👍🙃

    Thank you! Thank you!
    I've just put this setup into the Lambo and knocked about 1.5 seconds of my time at Spa, down to 2:22.9!!!
    It's astounding how simple and easy to follow you make this, and how effective it is as well.
    You've been my go to for Forza setups and now you've sorted me got ACC as well.
    Big thanks to you

    man i cant thank you enough for this video. For the past couple months I've been trying to break a sub 2 minute silverstone and the best I've done was a 2.05. I did your setup with some tweaks and immediately got a 2.03, after a couple of hours I hit a 2.01.8. I'm so close to my goal and it's thanks to you, big ups ❤

    From my limited time on ACC all what you say rings true with what I have experienced making my own setups. The one thing I found on my Ferrari 296 is that if I raise the front end until I get a zero reading in the Aero balance the car is immediately more stable . I have just recently changed my FOV settings from the usual 46 to 56 range and gone up to 78 . This has given me a far better perspective overall. With the old setting the cars around me all look to big for the track and the new setting makes everything look more real and makes cornering much easier. I race from my bed with all the sim gear including the screen attached to a Woden console table on wheels which rolls over my bed to give my driving position. To me the track comes alive at the new FOV and it really works well for me. Thanks for your excellent videos and my very best wishes Brian.

    Thank you very much for this video ! Lots of things to learn ! 😄
    I would just point out one thing : if you feel that you car is turning too much on the acceleration, instead of increasing the TC, I would recommend to increase the preload diff, because on your baseline, the diff is REALLY open, so it could be a reason why your car is unstable under acceleration

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I personally like to work more with the bump stops, but the preload diff is also an option. 👍

    and if u want more rotation while NOT using gas pedal: preload differential. make it higher and u can even feel car turning better midcorner. but do not make it max otherwise it might snap car. best usage is front engine cars like BMW.

    I am new to ACC and sim racing and still using a controller (a wheel is on the way) and I found your settings to be perfect first time. Funny that I found your video as I have been trying cars out to see what I like and what suits my driving, and have only just settled on the Mclaren 720 2 days ago and with your settings it looks good around Mount Panorama. From a lot of other videos that I have watched they seem to recommend sticking with 1 car.
    PS. With your easy to understand explanation I subscribed to your channel too.

When I started ACC I was trying every car as well and was driving the old Audi for the first couple of weeks. I then settled on the old 720S and just stuck with that. I'm now really happy with the Evo as well. 😄

    This works to a certain degree. IF you have knowledge about physics and car setup, you can make a really solid, stable setup for your diving style. However, the pro setups will always be so much faster. They simply exploit the bugs in the game engine and once you understand what all of the setting in the menu mean, you will see how 80% of the pro setups actually don't make sense, but they are so much faster.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  หลายเดือนก่อน

I haven't found the need to adjust my setups based on the LFM BOP at all yet. I feel like the added or lowered weight doesn't affect the car's balance at all, which is good. It feels to me just like driving with more or less fuel.

    On the Aston I run max TC2, I find it very stable yet fast. I can almost just smash the throttle out of many corners and it just goes, without snapping, and without eating into my acceleration.
    Also for many of the GT4 cars you can run TC off no problem, they are very forgiving on the throttle, I've never felt the need for anything more than 1 TC on them.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting with TC2 on the Aston, haven't tried that yet. For me TC2 Off is very stable as well though.

    Is it still necessery to set the ‘steer lock’ car by car? (For example the McLarens should have the ‘480’) Or do you have the ‘same steer lock’ with every car?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my opinion it's not necessary. I just set my wheel in the driver and ingame to 900 degrees, so the steering rotation IRL and ingame match. Yes, the soft lock will technically not be correct with that, but when are you really gonna use more than 360° of wheel rotation.

    This is great info. I saw this on a different content creators' channel with almost the same adjustments. However, it wasn't explained in depth the way that you did for us. In fact, it wasn't explained at all. Your direction made better sense and IT WORKS!! While I have been sim racing for about three years, I am not as good at it as I should be because of my set-up limitations. Until now! This is a game changer. Thanks again. One question, am I right in assuming that the max wing takes away from my top end speed?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks so much! 😊 While researching for this video I also looked at other videos on this topic and found that the general idea was very similar in some of those. But what I felt was missing, was how to adjust the setup in more detail, which is why I felt I had something to add. Great to hear that I was not completely wrong in assuming that. 😄
      To your question: Yes, max rear wing does take a way top speed and acceleration. This is worth it on most tracks in most cars in ACC, but there are exceptions (Monza, Paul Richard, Spa...). I will go into more detail in an eventual part 2 for this video, but reducing rear wing on these tracks can be beneficial, but you'll have to compensate for the reduced rear grip at high speeds. Lowering rear right height is something I always do there.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For fuel, look at your consumption while practicing - it will be some amount of liters per lap. You can then either use one of the many online fuel calculators or do some math based on average consumption and lap time. For refueling, look at the Fuel tab in the setup screen. You can already prepare your pitstops there. Or do it in the race in the MFD.

      @@pedro.veia1977 Depends on the event setup. Some require pit stops with refueling. If that's the case, you most likely want to split your overall between the two stints. Unless the race is really short, then just taking one liter at the pit stop can work too. If no refueling is required, then if possible take all the fuel up front.

    Hi HDee. What's the reason for maxing out the front ARB and using zero on the rear one? Is it because toe, caster and aero make the car more oversteery and it balances that out? It seems quite excessive haha

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it's mostly to stabilize the car. Seems to work best in ACC right now. Sometimes you can use more rear ARB to increase rotation though.

    hi congratulations for the video...
    I wanted to ask you...
    but isn't the 12 wing too much?
    on winding tracks it penalizes me a lot, for example in Imola I can't pass the cars on the finish line..
    on the contrary, the others eat me.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me, max wing is a good baseline for most tracks. There are some, where I would lower it, like Monza or Spa. You need to compensate though, through lower rear ride height for example. I'll make a video on that eventually.

    What do you do for tracks with long straights that require a low wing setting? You cant really get back the aero balance from height alone, but my guess is that the soft springs help squat the back at speed. You might need less bump range up front?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, ride height is always the first thing, going as low as is needed (or sometimes possible). Stiffer front springs is the second thing I try and other than that bump stop ranges and toe.

  • @ericmcmanus5179
    @ericmcmanus5179 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    In terms of bump stop ranges between front and rear. Do you know if one side is more sensitive to US/OS changes? For instance, if I need over steer going into a corner, do I notice a bigger change if I adjust the fronts? Or is it more noticeable if I adjust the rears? Or is there an equal amount of change sensitivity regardless?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You will very likely feel changes in the front bump stops more when braking / slowing down, while you will feel the rears more under acceleration. Going with extremely different values between front and rear might be a different scenario, but the general rule should still apply broadly speaking.
