    YO! I just fixed my TV with this process... yes the blue tape did NOT 100% fix the issue... HDMI audio out is kind of broken, and there is minor pixels glowing in a small 1/8 of the screen near the center, however from the Sofa, these are difficult to detect even in dark scenes! This Blue Tape is GOLD!

    What could the problem be if the TV only has really dimmed back lights? Everything else works but it is just extremely dimmed.

    I'm curious to see what you think about my issue: I have a Samsung 75 inch LCD (circa 2019) model television. Not sure if you know the answer to this (or anybody watching) but my symptoms are that when you go to turn it on, the (Samsung) logo comes on solid at first… and then these horizontal lines develop (which chops up and dims the picture a bit)... and then the TV shuts off and goes through that cycle again. (And again) for a while… But it does finally turn on within 15 minutes and works fine.
    Usually for 10 minutes + it reboots, over and over again.
    When it's just about to turn on and work (which it does usually in less than 15 minutes of letting it cycle like this) it finally gets past the logo and you start to see the main MENU screen, etc. and then the horizontal lines develop and then it shuts off ... and restarts and then FINALLY, it comes on for a few seconds (with the sound of whatever the TV show is that's playing or whatever) then, it usually goes through one more cycle... and then it stays on (and works perfectly, from that point on (until you turn the TV off again).
    I'm wondering if that's a power board issue (rather than a main board issue, or?).
    According to the seller who sold it to me, It did start occurring, just after a lightning storm.
    Do you think replacing the whole power board would do the trick in fixing it? Short of that, is there a particular part (or two) on the power board that would usually be the culprit that I could replace for a lot less money than replacing the whole power board? Even if I have to pay about 125 bucks for a new pwr board, I think it would be worth it. (It's a great TV once it stays on).
    Thanks!

      Sounds like main 2 big capacitors are bad on your power board. Try this, take back off tv plug in dont touch anything, use hairdryer to heat up the 2 big capacitors on power board. Thst should tell you before ordering new ones.

      @@JasonSmith-utube Well, I actually had ordered another power board… It was defective… Then I ordered a proper (working) power board and the same issue pertains :-( within the next few days I should receive the MAIN BOARD that I ordered… Crossing my fingers :-)

    I just can't believe these samsung c##ts are still allowed to even operate, how does the public not know about this. My samsung qn90a just bombed out after 2yrs and was only being used max 3hrs a day. I have the power loop issue and seems to be an issue with the screen. Just can't believe the amount of money I spent on this shit. It's absolute rape. I hope I am able to boycott this brand that they remove their products from stores. Samsung should actually be taken to court.

    I followed your instructions on disconnecting the power and motherboard components. I had a new remote control delivered yesterday as well. The remote was the key to my problem, but I didn't know it at the time. I paired the remote to the TV. My TV still wasn't working. I left the TV plugged into the wall overnight. I noticed that the screen was different. The lights were not going on and off. I hit the power button on the new remote control, and everything reset itself overnight.

    I have the same TV however, the control board was hard soldered to the power supply so I cannot do the test you did at the beginning. My TV has the exact same sypmtoms. It powers on and immediately turns off. If I disconnect the panel from the control board, the screen stays on.

    • @djjohnson9791
      @djjohnson9791  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the ribbons is not the problem, they just transfer data to and from the panel

    • @LisaLisaAndDCultJam
      @LisaLisaAndDCultJam 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was curious about this as well. I tried the tape trick and the panel ribbon is connected and I have sound but the screen is black even thought the back of the screen is lit and white. And of course my extended warranty runs out literally one week before this happens. Ah!
      But thanks for this video. It was helpful even if the problem remains.

    • @voicetube
      @voicetube 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would've been cool, but unfortunately, when he says a bad panel, he means the whole LCD screen (yes the whole big huge screen). The price on replacing one of those would be more than a brand-new TV would cost these days. I think that's why he said it was nonrepairable.
