We used this video as a guide to repair our TV. We were quoted between $175 and $300 for this repair which was honestly out of our budget. Thanks to Amazon and you we are back to our regularly scheduled viewing!

Since my son's birth I have needed to find a way to be home so I took this little hobby and I have to admit your video was very soothing, relaxing, informative straight to the point and I felt like I was really there with you. Samsung contractor wanted $900 to fix my 65” LED UHD TV (less than two years old). I ordered some $30 eBay LEDs off eBay for my tv model and followed this guide (slightly different but I found my way) and now my TV is back alive!! Thanks

My father taught me that everything can be fixed, and so i got a free tv from a thrift store because it wasnt turning on and I diagnosed that it was the back light and I figured id try and see how to fix it my self. Because of you, now i can. Thank you so much i will subscribe to you and your friends after the video!!

This was a very good video. I am gonna repair my 65” Samsung using this guide. The other value I took from this video, is stay away from Samsung. The fact that both your TVs need repair and mine yet my grandfathers Sony lasted over 10 years is evident to me that I chose the wrong brand.

Thanks for the valuable description of your repair process! I used this process to re-seat the connector for the "bad" LED on my 65" Samsung. Re-seating the LED corrected the problem with my TV. In the process of repairing the LED, I cracked the top corner of the LCD and scrapped the TV. As already mentioned in the video, take care with that LCD and get help when putting the TV back together. The 65 and 70 inch models may be more awkward to handle.

Sometimes I watch these videos to learn if the repair is something I can do or not. So many fragile clips and components...I'm thinking I'm not up for this kind of LCD brain surgery. You should go into the repair business. Few want to do repairs anymore. Given the time-consuming nature and chance for further damage, I can see why. Thanks anyway. I bow to your skills.

Did some research on the Samsung tv ...ordered LED strips from aliexpress for a little over 8 dollars US which included shipping...also of note is to not keep the backlit settings on max...supposedly the LED's will last longer. I like the fact that you kept to bezel on the surface and lifted off the backing which had the circuit boards...made much more sense than flipping it over and lifting the glass off from the top.

Success! Bought LEDs and power and control boards fm Jimmy... hardest part is opening the case then removing the white bezel as noted. Swapped boards to NO EFFECT (returned) ; only 1 LED was bad. WORKS like NEW... So because I bought a new 43 TV (not trusting my ability... compounded by the 'try to fix since it's already broken mentality) I now have an extra 43... so I bought an xBox for it! NO MONEY SAVED! :). Gotta love America! I do!

My fri3nd, thank you for making this video as I think you have just saved me hundreds. I have a vertical black shadow in the middle of the screen and also suspect it's the edge led

Your video helped me repair a similar Samsung in 55" size. $40 for new LEDs and the problem is solved. Reassembly was more difficult than expected plus the bezel refused to stay clipped in. Rather than forcing brittle plastic to comply, a bead of glue around the seam now holds everything together. Thank you!

This was a GREAT video!!!!! I think this will be a fun project for my dad and I when he visits.
One suggestion - Add a list of tools to the description. Here is why:
I almost didn't watch the video because there were written instructions somewhere else that said you would have to solder some pieces back together after the repair. Since you didn't have a list of tools, I assumed that you would be soldering something at some point. That was beyond what I wanted to do to repair the TV, so I thought it would be a waste of time to watch.
I decided to watch it because I was curious as to what needed soldering - which was NOTHING, so this IS doable - YAY!!!!
(Another reason to add the list is that there are SO MANY DIY videos that require tools far beyond what most people own - GRRRRR. More like DIY for "repair professionals.")
This repair is doable and your demeanor and tone make it feel so possible! A list of tools would help people know that they can do this! This was excellent!!!!
