The narrator is very trained in her voices and timing, she's very good! I love that she is soft spoken. SO many people think they need to yell as their natural voice. Thank you for sharing the book with us.

I fell asleep to this book 3x times. If you need something to relax to that sounds like your country granny reading you a bedtime story and you really don't care about what happens in the story. I highly recommend it! 10/10 Naps!

Mentioned the proper application of sunscreen and facelifts -- as a retirement plan, cuz they can't take your face away, ... Hilarious asides like that.
This is hilarious, and I don't even like humorous mysteries. Maybe it's because the two sisters remind me SO much of my own sister and myself....total opposites. One is a 250 lb. free spirit, and the other a petite conservative. The narrator definitely has a flair for comedy. I find myself chuckling out loud constantly. I still can't believe I'm listening to it, but I can't stop! Later: I am totally hooked!!! Thank you for making this funny and charming series available!

TY for this interesting southern murder mystery. I must say I was rooting for Henry & Haily to make a match of it, so Patricia Ann's favorite student would become her son-in-law..sigh, but looks like her neice, Diane will get him for the twins! Great characters & good plot...kudos to the narrator👍
I know I'm probably just being picky but there are some details that don't make sense. 1. The sister's are 65. & 60. 2. How did they see a show starring billy somebody in 1939? They weren't even born yet. I'm 57 I was born in 1963. 3. They obviously live in the age of cell phones so reliving the past like they experienced it is a falsehood. Petty details maybe but some details need to be correct.
This book was originally published in 1996. When you subtract 1939, the date of the show mentioned in the book, from 1996, the publication date, you get 57 years. Patricia Ann stated that she was only three years old at the time of the show. Add 3 to 57 and you get 60, Patricia Ann's age in the book. Also, the first mobile phone was manufactured in 1973. By the early 1990s, the cell phone rage had begun. Personally, I see no problem with the time line of the book. Anne George, the author, was honored with the coveted Agatha Award for the Southern Sisters series. She was also nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1993 for a collection of her poetry. She was named Alabama's state poet in 1994.. She is missed in the literary world. Blessings.
I just have to say that this is Alabama and most women would own a pistol at the very least. I don't understand the author making her two heroines so afraid of firearms. It's not reasonable at all.
I'm 2.5 hrs in and finding the dialog/words being cut off disconcerting, lol. So far, a cute mystery story, but it's hard to stay focused on it when the words keep getting cut off.
Of course not! Editors nor publishers would let that pass! The person that put it on TH-cam so we could listen for free, just was off in his timing when he was transfering them from CD to this.
