If the eco popped you should replace the thermostat. Leaving both electric and gas heat on all night is fine. Just make sure your electric thermostat is a higher temp than the gas and it will only use gas to quickly replenish and then use electric long term to hold it at temp. If eco pops that means it passed the thermostat and kept heating. So replace the thermostats and just leave both on. Great info on the simple reset method! Good luck and happy camping.
Thank you much for showing this.. we are new full time living in our 45 ft 2021 Forest River Rogue Armored and still learning the odds and ends of everything, It's only been 2 weeks in this mammoth trailer. So we have been with out hot water for the past 24 hrs and wasn't sure what was going on, we left for the weekend and we made sure to turn off water to trailer, turned propane tanks off and water pump, and AC up to 76 for our cat to keep living thru the heat lol, well we thought the switch where the fault red light came on was screwed we just didn't leave it on for 10+seconds to turn off..now we know thank you.

@@patlongworth5998 sure, no big deal at all except that you have to wait for it to heat up when you need hot water if the tank has been sitting off for awhile cooling down. 👍🏼
I have an Imagine 2400BH and my water heater flame is rolling out and burning the wires that are connected directly above (huge design flaw IMO). I can't find a fix, so I'm not using it currently. Do you know how to fix the flame rollout? There are no obstructions in the tube and the flame is blue so it's getting enough air. Can the propane regulator be adjusted down?
Hi, I actually have a different problem. My water gets hot but gets too hot and blows the safety valve. I replaced both of the thermostat switches but it’s still doing it. Could it be the circuit board that when it sends the signal to shut down, it’s not?
I would maybe try replacing the Automatic Temperature Pressure Relief Valve first and see if that helps. Once these pop they are known to never be right after that sometimes. We changed ours out after it started acting up. Try that first then go from there. Here’s a link to the one we replaced it with. amzn.to/4dEYVXz
No, not necessarily. Most rv water heater manuals even recommend it if you need a faster recovery time. Just for us for the most part of the day we don’t need to hot water to recover that quick. Only during times when we all shower. Otherwise throughout the day you are just using extra electricity and extra propane that may not be necessary If you aren’t trying to speed up the hot water recovery. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Hi! Thank you for the video. My pressure relief valve seems to go off daily. Is this normal? If not, do you know what the problem might be as my Montana RV doesn’t have a temperature setting for the hot water heater (I don’t think most do).
So we had this happen too. Sometimes once these pressure relief valves pop on their own they can just seem to be screwed up from then on. I would simply replace it. Real simple job, you can buy one on Amazon, we did and haven’t had a problem since. 👍🏼

Thanks man! This actually saved me. I’ve been troubleshooting and trying to figure out why my tank wouldn’t light, and this fixed it. Appreciate it!!
Awesome! That’s great to hear. Glad it helped you out man. 👍🏼

@@WhyWait definitely, I will have my wife and I watch it on the weekends.
I don't leave my propane or electric on until I need it. I've been doing this for years. Is this ok? I live in mine.

Propane was working, hot water would come out of the release when I opened it but no hot water to the house. Any suggestions?

Thanks for another great video. So I always leave my gas and Elect on all the time. Is that a bad thing to do? Thanks

Bad switch got me once. Little bit of a pain finding the right one if I remember right.
I could see that. Sometimes these parts can be a pain to track down.

Tankless also have an eco switch but it's a little different. This helped me understand to look for it and reset it. Thanks
