Practicing in Hong Kong I returned to yoga and yoga nidra recently after emotional trauma and discovered your channel. I will be forever grateful to you, it has helped me more than I can express. Now practice every day and I love the fact that I have a choice depending on what needs work. I'm just starting a project involving trees so the grounding/ forest nidras are wonderful before work Thank you from the depths of my heart Namaste 🙏
Cottonwood AZ... I've been practicing Yoga Nidra since the beginning of 2000 during my pregnancy with my first child. So grateful for your yoga nidras!!🤗🙏 thank you, Ally!! I've shared them with a number of people, including my sister who is in Seattle and has been a practitioner of Yoga Nidra and a yoga teacher for many years. She is loving your yoga nidras too 😊
@0950 love this grounding practice, the peaceful sounds of birdsong. It brings me to moments of connection to the Earth, its healing and its abundance. Namaste Ally
Hello Ally. I live in Tennessee. I look forward each morning to experiencing yoga nidra and guided breathing. I suffer from ptsd. I really appreciate your work. It is a difference maker! Thank you.
I'm so glad to hear that you are practicing each morning... breathing and nidra helped me to completely rewire my nervous system. I used to have regular panic attacks, I can't attest for pranamaya and nidra enough for their ability to shift the nervous system gradually back into balance. Stick with it!! :)
I know we’re supposed to do these in our yoga nidra nest but I just did it in a car park - I was transported from the city centre bricks and concrete to the beautiful forest. Thank you.
4/08/22 17.14 . I've just returned from a retreat in the Scottish highlands, where I spent many a happy and peaceful moment sitting in the forrest by a cascading river tumbling down the mountainside....this practice took me right back there! My place of refuge! Also, after many years of yoga practice, this is the first time I've been taught the physiological sigh. I find it very effective and somehow profoundly heart opening. It stirs memories of being a child and the calm felt after a storm of a tantrum ( of which I had many), when the tears subsided into deeper inhales...and sighing sobs and the feeling of being gathered up into parental arms and comforted. Thanks Ally. 🙏
Ooh ally this one is so fantastic.i love the background birds chirping weaved into your theme. A short sense of weightlessness around my chest was a great feeling, ty! Alex S yoga nidra tt 8/12/23
Hi Ally, I enjoyed this yn so much. The bird songs are so nice and peaceful. It was nice starting with the feet and migrating upwards this time. Thank you.
This is one of the most beautiful guided visualizations I've ever done. And I like the different variations and time lengths - that's handy. I've practiced yoga on and off for decades, but am new to Yoga Nidra. You have a lovely calming voice and wonderfully vivid imagery, thank you!
I actually began my chakra yoga practice about 8 years ago. It is a part of my daily life. I came across my first Indra with you Ally, during quarantine! I have been obsessed with the practice ever since. This nidra was a perfect pair to the root immersion. I plan to come back for another one before bed! 🙏🏼
Beautiful imagery and guidance ❤ Felt so still and calm at the end. The Philosophical Sigh has been a total game-changer for me since I started practising it in Ally's recordings, I find it really helpful to do a few rounds of before situations where I get nervous like job interviews etc.
5 p.m. This was a great way to disconnect from the work stress. I've only done yoga nidra a few times through offerings at my job. I'll definitely do this more often.
Ally, thank you so much for doing these videos and sending them out to the world. I have been using your yoga nidras regularly now. They work really well and I have slept much better since I started. The ones with nature sounds in the background are my favorites.
A good practice to start the day with. My mind wanders of, and comes back to the sounds of the birds, to your soothing, guiding voice, into my body, grounding. Thank you Ally. 🤗💗🧚♀️ 8.50 am, 11/11
Hi Ally I live in Ireland and have been practicing with you for 2 years and today I found my favorite yoga nidra, this one, I love nature and could feel and imagine the forest and it's creatures. Really good thank you.😊
3.38om I enjoy this more and more each time, Ally. The birdsong is really soothing. Your invitation to the Physiological Sigh at the beginning worked its magic very quickly. I can see how his it would be perfect fur children too. Thank you for this and all your beautiful teachings 🙏🏻💕🌹
This was so fitting for grounding and restoring, I completed it late afternoon. I like the forest visualization and the two sip inhale, one long exhale has become one of my favorites! I didn’t want to leave your forest, thank you so much❤ I was visualizing myself walking barefoot through a forest which I think helped engage my parasympathetic nervous system even more into complete rest and digest relaxation mode which was very much needed
I'm in Berkshire in the UK and the beech woods near me at this time of year are filled with bluebells and wild garlic. I loved this supremely relaxing visualisation - almost as good as lying in the forest!
I had a somewhat profound experience in this practice where I brought my Sankalpa to mind and it was as if I could see it floating right in front of my closed eyes. I felt a strong connection to it. Thank you 🙏
Started my day with this after waking and already feeling nervous system overload. Feeling very calm and clear in my mind afterwards. Many thanks Ally 9.10am 22/4/22
Loved this soothing, grounding practice! And thanks for asking! Been practicing yoga for 20+ years now and discovered yoga nidra maybe 10 years ago? Been teaching it for around 3 years now... love this style of meditation as the somatic approach of getting into the body to relax really helps my mind come more quickly to a place of stillness too... this then makes opening into presence/ being/ this whole other dimension of consciousness flow much easier. 🙌
@@SarovaraYoga awww thanks so much! Really appreciate that. Got a lovely comment from one of them recently - appreciate your support so much, Ally! 🙏🙌❤️
Ally, I absolutely loved this one. I felt myself as the fallen tree, absorbed in nature sounds and smells. My body almost dissolved in my mind, and then it was time to come back. So soothing! Thank you and Namamste. Phil YNTT Mod 3
Hi Ally! I've done this Nidra a few times now and keep forgetting to comment afterwards. I thought I commented at least once but in looking through the most recent posts I don't see anything from me. For accountability, I've done this Nidra on 5/6, 5/7 and 5/9 🙏🌹🙏 P.S. I've also recommended this Nidra to a few people already as I love the forest imagery and sensations that come through!
I'd love to hear from you! Where are you from? How long have you been practicing Yoga Nidra?
