Only when it allows the Mechanicus captain of the ship to interface with it do they realize, but it wipes their memory of it afterwards. One Ark Mechanicus, The Speranza, did this while fighting an Aeldari ship. It shot a BLACK HOLE cannon at them, but the ship dodged because they were led by a Farseer who foresaw the attack. The Speranza's AI machine spirit was not happy about this so promptly fired its tachyon-fueled chrono-gun to warp the Aeldari ship into the past so it got hit by the black hole cannon. Ancient human technology doesn't fuck around.
If I recall correctly in one of the first two parts of the end and the death, an ordo sinister Psi-Titan takes fatal damage whilst charging up its warp jump and is destroyed... Only for the warp jump to go off and the Psi-Titan to appear, pristine and without a scratch, behind the enemy titan legion's battle line. Just imagine being an onlooker to that fight. You are seeing entire battle lines of things commonly referred to as God Machines duke it out, only for one to be utterly destroyed only to reappear "nothing personnel" style scant few seconds later. Even if you don't take into account how they're powered Psi-Titans are fucking horrifying.

Sanguinius, Magnus & Empowered Horus are the only primarchs that are realistically gonna 1v1 a regular titan, and even then I'd argue they can't do it consistently. The size difference between even a Warhound Titan and Vulcan is absurd. The Psionic powers are overkill when any Warlord could unironically step on, or 1-shot any non-psychic primarch, and their armor is thick enough to laugh off even most primarch weaponry. Even if they do pull a Levi Ackerman and cut their way through literal Meters of Plating, the best they're getting is a draw, because once the primarch is inside the Princeps will detonate the reactor.

I think what's kind of truly frightening is that there are still a few of them running around; their rules are present in the Adeptus Titanicus Rule Book, which means there's a fairly real chance some of the titans survived the heresy and if any new ones were built since, they were built in total secrecy. I would hate to imagine if one were to fall into the hands of chaos and the blank was replaced by a daemon
I'm relatively new to 40k, I got into it early last year. I have come to realize that every time I come across something scary, there's always something scarier..
The only balancing factor with these is that psykers are rare, blanks are super rare, and princeps candidates are ultra mega turbo rare, and you need a princeps who is a blank and like a dozen powerful psykers to cook.
25 Alpha Class Psyckers, a Blank with Princeps potential, yeah more than rare. Also even before the Horus Heresy there was only 25 left. Which leaves massive questions as to what the fuck in the Great Crusade took out the other 5, because it wasn't the Randagns we know that much at least
After reading Titanicus book by Dan Abnett..warlord pattern titan is my favorite of all titan class. It just hit that sweet spot of not too big, not too small, not too armed but also not too lack of weaponry either

If you ask me, a Psi- Titan would just telekinetically rip out Legendary Godzilla's spine, whereas 90s Godzilla could just regenerate from it and obliterate the titan with his atomic breath. I dunno though, I haven't seen GxK yet so I don't know what direction the Monsterverse is taking now

As a way of "nerfing" them in lore, I'd like to imagine that the Blank Princepes that pilot these war machines would start to lose their Pariah aura the more they use these psykic machines, until they basically become like regular humans (maybe some that use their machines excessively start to develop psychic powers). Blanks may also get addicted to this... Thus, finding suitable pilots would make it very expensive to field them willy-nilly, which would be the perfect excuse as to why they don't show up in the lore very often.
Fun fact, these things are also invented by the Emperor himself. Meaning in one fell swoop, he made himself a double hypocrite. One for no psyker powers and one for no invention. This is an unsurprisingly common L of the Cringe Corpse on the Fail Chair.
I have to correct you. He was very much anti-psyker powers when those psyker powers were not under his control. He had precisely zero issues with Malcador's psyker powers because he had made sure the Chaos Gods couldn't mess with Malcador. His big problem with Magnus was, primarily, that Magnus f*cked around with forces he was wholly unprepared to deal with (mind you, Emps is several tens of thousands of years old, Magnus would always be a baby in terms of knowledge and experience before him) and not listening for five seconds. If he was REALLY against psyker powers, you think he'd have allowed Magnus to live -or that he'd contact him throughout Magnus' childhood? Also; Emps was alive long before, during and after the Golden Age. He was very much an inventor and he himself NEVER banned creation, invention or thought. Do not confuse the ramblings of the Mechanicus cargo cult (look cargo cults up btw) for the Emperor's position. Emps is flawed. Also Big E sabotaged mankind’s chances at both alliances with non Chaotic factions (RIP Diasporex and Interex, gone but not forgotten) and being prepared for either Chaos or the Tyranids (which we do know he fought, but kept a secret). Big E, in terms of competence at either empire building or fighting Chaos, is a colossal failure. On the Empire building front, look at Rome, one of the big reasons they lasted for so long was that they rarely performed rapid expansion, and by the time they did, their holdings were so secure, nothing short of colossal disasters was gonna make them lose it (fun fact, Guilliman wanted to do things the Roman way of slow and steady wins the race, and his greatest holdings were acquired in such a manner). On the resisting Chaos front, both Fantasy and Age of Sigmar prove that awareness of the dangers of Chaos and cooperation with other races is infinitely superior than the prolonged hell the Imperium is in. Hell, for comparison, Sigmar, as a god, has both helped his universe bounce back from a total Chaos victory and has actually redeemed Chaos Champions, both of which wouldn’t have been possible without the aforementioned practices. Indeed, the main reason the bounce back was necessary at all was because the alliance collapsed for a variety of reasons, most of which are actually understandable (not Nagash, though, he’s just a dick). We have precedent, in-universe, in-franchise, in real life (which Big E supposedly lived through, but if he actually did, his head wouldn’t be up his own ass) that Big E and the Imperium are in the wrong, have always been in the wrong, and at this rate will always be in the wrong. And the foundations for this colossal failure of logic and morality is only possible because Big E is a damned fool.

Those warp storm portals could send enemies inside other enemies, into a fucking star, to the other side of the galaxy, they are literal chaos. Just the sheer presence of the Titan make it a terrifying psychological weapon. And *NO ONE* wants to field it. @@darrylferguson3622

@@zillafire101 Personally, I would say that Monsterverse Godzilla and Shin Godzilla are like a pseudo- realistic interpretation of a creature, while previous versions are more like some kind of Fantasy beasts with seemingly unlimited reserves of energy and strength.
If you ask me, a Psi- Titan would just telekinetically rip out Legendary Godzilla's spine, whereas 90s Godzilla could just regenerate from it and obliterate the titan with his atomic breath.
I dunno though, I haven't seen GxK yet so I don't know what direction the Monsterverse is taking now

As a way of "nerfing" them in lore, I'd like to imagine that the Blank Princepes that pilot these war machines would start to lose their Pariah aura the more they use these psykic machines, until they basically become like regular humans (maybe some that use their machines excessively start to develop psychic powers). Blanks may also get addicted to this...
Thus, finding suitable pilots would make it very expensive to field them willy-nilly, which would be the perfect excuse as to why they don't show up in the lore very often.

He was very much anti-psyker powers when those psyker powers were not under his control. He had precisely zero issues with Malcador's psyker powers because he had made sure the Chaos Gods couldn't mess with Malcador. His big problem with Magnus was, primarily, that Magnus f*cked around with forces he was wholly unprepared to deal with (mind you, Emps is several tens of thousands of years old, Magnus would always be a baby in terms of knowledge and experience before him) and not listening for five seconds. If he was REALLY against psyker powers, you think he'd have allowed Magnus to live -or that he'd contact him throughout Magnus' childhood?
Also; Emps was alive long before, during and after the Golden Age. He was very much an inventor and he himself NEVER banned creation, invention or thought. Do not confuse the ramblings of the Mechanicus cargo cult (look cargo cults up btw) for the Emperor's position.
Emps is flawed. But keep in mind his actual flaws, not what is ascribed to him by a community driven by memes and hearsay.

@@lyravain6304 ok, couldn’t find where I read he banned invention, so I will cede to that. But these Titans were used well after the Council of Nikaea, which banned all combat Psykers. Also Big E sabotaged mankind’s chances at both alliances with non Chaotic factions (RIP Diasporex and Interex, gone but not forgotten) and being prepared for either Chaos or the Tyranids (which we do know he fought, but kept a secret). Big E, in terms of competence at either empire building or fighting Chaos, is a colossal failure. On the Empire building front, look at Rome, one of the big reasons they lasted for so long was that they rarely performed rapid expansion, and by the time they did, their holdings were so secure, nothing short of colossal disasters was gonna make them lose it (fun fact, Guilliman wanted to do things the Roman way of slow and steady wins the race, and his greatest holdings were acquired in such a manner). On the resisting Chaos front, both Fantasy and Age of Sigmar prove that awareness of the dangers of Chaos and cooperation with other races is infinitely superior than the prolonged hell the Imperium is in. Hell, for comparison, Sigmar, as a god, has both helped his universe bounce back from a total Chaos victory and has actually redeemed Chaos Champions, both of which wouldn’t have been possible without the aforementioned practices. Indeed, the main reason the bounce back was necessary at all was because the alliance collapsed for a variety of reasons, most of which are actually understandable (not Nagash, though, he’s just a dick). We have precedent, in-universe, in-franchise, in real life (which Big E supposedly lived through, but if he actually did, his head wouldn’t be up his own ass) that Big E and the Imperium are in the wrong, have always been in the wrong, and at this rate will always be in the wrong. And the foundations for this colossal failure of logic and morality is only possible because Big E is a damned fool.
