🔴 Do you think the Gladiator's new upgrades make it a serious contender in the midsize truck market? 🤔 🏆6 Reasons Why You SHOULD NOT Buy Honda Ridgeline WATCH HERE 👉 th-cam.com/video/ssY9k9A-v9I/w-d-xo.html
Adding the 3.0 hurricane is a huge task, what has impeded the Gladiator for towing is not HP/Torque but cooling. That is one reason the 2024 got a new grill to increase air flow. I highly doubt the 25 will get the 3.0. I think it will require a major full refresh for a new power plant to be added.
I have a 21 Mojave and I love it. It tows okay for common missions (toys and motorcycles) and goes anywhere. I would be excitant to get a turbo when even Toyota's "all-mighty" Tacoma's 4 turbo is struggling in the reliability department.
If Jeep would build the Ext Cab (like the 2005 prototype) they'd be awesome. Not everyone wants or needs a double cab. A little more bed, and a little less cab would be ideal. They would have the market sealed up. Just hope they keep the 6spd manual.
Just got a gladiator rubicon x for msrp 63,500 2 weeks ago sticker price was 68,700 doesn’t include dealer fees and tax and registration got my rubicon x 2024 63,500 out the door with fees and tax and registration all included 63,500$ is that a good deal?
The current gladiator has the highest towing capacity in its class. If you want to tow more than 6500 in a midsize then I suggest you look at something like the RAM2500 (or even the 1500) 2: I doubt the jeep off-road community is dying to get the blue tow hooks on the front bumper of the gladiator. Electrification has its place for ppl movers, minivans and such but I am afraid off-roading isn’t one of them. My 2022 is an “underpowered” 3.6 and it does great with the 4:10 all though as soon as I go 37’s I’ll have it re-geared* to 4:88 maybe even 5:13’s. Love my current setup but if I could redo it again, I’d probably purchase the diesel platform.
@AnameSomeonesDadSurname I agree. But like I stated, I highly doubt ppl buy the gladiator for towing. All tho a few guys in the jeep community do tow their “off road” campers on the trails. I own a 2021 Powerwagon (L2 package) and I use that if I need to tow anything.
The 3.6 was a great engine, had several and they always had enough torque and power. You call the 3.0 hurricane long awaited... by whom? You must be getting paid pretty well by Stellantis.
I just came back from a dealership and viewed the 2024 Gladiator. I raised the hood and banged in the metal around the car. It sounded weak and like plastic. Under the hood, I was able to bend the metal flaps on the fender sides. The metal is thinner than kn my 2013 Rubicon. I also viewed a USED 2021 Mojave and did the same banging on the panels and raised the hood. The 2013 had thicker metal, the pannels sounded like metal and I could not easily bend the metal flaps on the inside fender sides inder the hood. Jeep is charging more and giving less. I'm still considering the 2025 and now that this TH-camr mentioned the Hurricane in-line 6, I WANT IT (but) that option is NOT available on the Keep Build Site as an option so NOW... thanks to this BOGUS LEAK, I now feel like Im not going to be able to get the inline 6 which makes me feel like Im now getting LESS of a car. I wish you TH-camrs would make sure things are absolute before you put out what should be credible content.
the online Hurricane in your photo looks incredibly like the 3.0 V6 Ecodiesel mounted on my 80th anniversary Gladiator...🤔... it even wrote ECODIESEL on it...😁
I’ll believe it when I see it regarding any build quality or quality control improvements in a Stellantis product. The twin turbo inline 6 is not going to help reliability and any Stellantis hybrid can be guaranteed to be a POS.
You can fault Stellantis Corporate for that. They are the ones that are feeding this fire and seem to want to put a freaking battery pack and motor in their entire fleet of vehicles. I believe the right guy in the Oval Office will change all this and let the market drive change instead of political donor influenced brainless politicians.
I have a 3.6 V6 unlimited, and rented a jeep 4 banger for a few weeks…not even close in feel and despite its torque numbers, didn’t feel as smooth or punchy as the old V6.
I would not mind having a 4xe Gladiator or a 3.0 Hurricane version. Having owned both versions of the 4xe in the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, it does need some refinement of when the turbo engine kicks in. I have also owned the V6 Pentastar Wrangler Rubicon and Gladiator Rubicon and more power is needed with those. My current Jeep is a 392 Wrangler and if either the 4xe or 3.0 Hurricane is as smooth as the Hemi, they would make great Jeeps. I would be interested in them and also the new Ramcharger as the next vehicle purchase. The prices of new vehicles are ridiculous and I would wait for a used one. ☹
I will believe it when I see it! Jeep definitely needs to get its act together and for years has just dangled bobbles and beads in our faces and then has always fallen flat on its face.
Got a killer deal on a '23 and glad I didn't wait. The engine is proven and good enough. You probably love the lame windshield antenna too. Lame video.
If you want a Jeep then buy a JL otherwise the "ballyhoo" in this commercial is nothing but hype. If you want a gasoline truck then buy a Ford F150 or a Chevrolet Silverado. The Gladiator was never a competitor to those vehicles and to now try to turn it into a "same as" and push a hybrid version with all of the problems that Ford and Chevrolet have had with EV vehicles that were never really meant to be anything more than a way to separate taxpayer dollars into the hands of "green energy" is an exercise in failure again. I have a 2022 Gladiator Eco-Diesel on 4.5" lift with 37" tires and have not experienced any problem because it is a Jeep and that is what I expected first and foremost. it is not a look-a-like Ford F150 or Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 and this "redesign" is not going to bring Ford and Chevrolet buyers to a Gladiator.
Starting price for a base model $90,000 probably....... you can almost get a new Escalade for the same price as a poorly built Jeep.... I have regretted buying my 2021 JLU Sahara since getting it, poor reliability, low quality.
New engine...new problems. At least the previous engine, we all knew what to expect and its shortcomings. Nonetheless, I want to see pricing. I think what's killing Stellantis is their refusal to price Jeeps at a value that most Americans can afford it.
Not true. I have owned both Wrangler Sahara and Grand Cherokee with the hybrid powerplant. I had a Gladiator Rubicon too and a Wrangler Rubicon with the Pentastar engines. The 4xe powerplant would be a great addition for the Gladiator. It seriously needs more power and the hybrid powerplant does both, provide more power and better fuel economy. I went from 2 hybrid Jeeps to a 392 Wrangler. It IS a gas hog but provides a smoother power curve than the hybrids and while it is supposed to be quicker, I found the hybrid powerplants are more than capable of producing a fast 0-60 run. The power is not smooth with the hybrid. I would not mind getting the 4xe Gladiator or the new Ramcharger as the next vehicle. IF Jeep would put the 392 in the Gladiator, hell yes. When they will put the 3.0 Hurricane it them, that would be pretty nice too.
@@chuckw6099 America's Most Wanted 4x4 company does 392 conversions for the jeep gladiator. You can buy it brand new from them with the conversion done when you pick it up. They do financing as well. Whatever you can dream up for your gladiator, they can build it. I think the company is in Michigan.
What about a 4x2 jeep gladìator with v6 pentastar for city driving, lighter body, less fuel consumption but with all the trimmings of a jeep gladiator.

Until prices lower don't buy Jeep.....period......
Yes bro I am stuck with TJ which I am ok with it untill they drop prices. They are crazy, every jeep models are priced ridiculously
True dat. Most new truck and SUV prices are ridiculous.
Prices are not coming down. Interest rates might. These prices are here to stay dont be fooled.
Twin turbos is the worst thing ever, ask ford
Especially under Stallantis, who are pretty well known for first generation quality control when it comes to engines and transmission.
😂yes.
It’s even just them anymore either. Even Toyota has issues. To me n/a will always be best for non diesel trucks.
Jeep has NOT mentioned ANY plans to put the Hurricane engines in the Gladiator yet- this is "hopeful" at best

@@brettpeckinpaugh - Jeep better figure it out quick… they are wasaay behind in sales!
Thank you lol i work at a dealership and i haven't heard ANYTHING about this

The logic of offering a Jeep off-road machine a hybrid engine is ludicrous. The maintenance required will be astronomical.
If Jeep would build the Ext Cab (like the 2005 prototype) they'd be awesome. Not everyone wants or needs a double cab. A little more bed, and a little less cab would be ideal. They would have the market sealed up. Just hope they keep the 6spd manual.
Yeah jeep out priced the middle class that made them so popular. You lost my money Jeep. Can’t afford a wrangler when I make 80 grand a year
I hate that they changed the grill. Every time, I look at them I can’t help but see a Jeep Renegade. Horrible choice for the grill.
Agreed
Aftermarket should be able to handle this
Last year’s good looking grill will still fit with no issues.
These are scammers...dont buy their shit.
No it's not. It's finally s good looking grill

It may have the highest tow rating in its class. It has one of lowest output engines
This all sounds bad to me. Glad I got my 2023 gladiator. I love it. I have zero issues.

🤡😂
I have 3 2025 gladiators that arrived at our dealership today. They all have the 3.6l pentastar. No plans for hurricane engine for now.
They are still trying to tell us that people will be forced to buy the hybrid instead of the gas engines. Sorry, but no. You keep the hybrid.

@@Thomas-fy9yc I did the same thing. The 4 cylinder with turbo is junk.
What about the frame failing problem . I hope some fixes that for 2025
That might sound good but I would expect prices to also increase, and that would kill the sales, as they are 20% overpriced now, good luck!
Stellantis is on life support, does it look good for Mopar
Jeep needs to offer the 35 inch tire package like the Wrangler.
If i cant get the pentastar im out ,no 4cyl either and sure as hell dont want 1 letalone 2 turbos.
when do the 25s come out?
They are out now but dealerships are still stuck with 24s so you will see units being built but minimally and not at the dealerships.

i love my 2021 gladiator mohave but I wait for 2025 if they have the Mojave addition will that outcome
I hope manual transmission comes with the Hurricane.
Prices suck now. Still love mine but I’ll be waiting for a deal on a 25
45 mpg sounds unbelievable to me. I don’t believe it will happen. They said the same about the Tacoma trd pro hybrid. It only gets 20-24 mpg.
The 2.0 litre turbo 4 is junk
Could've been great if they took note from chevy 4 cylinder
@ Not likely, that Turbo will eventually trash that motor

No on plug in jeep. Maybe in the future, not yet with technology.
We don't want EVs!! Will they have dip sticks for oil and transmission?
In a video like this, all I need to know is the powerplants that are available. If I don't see a normally aspirated V8, I don't buy.

will one have to buy the top trim rubicon to get this inline I-6/?
Jeep has lost the plot - too complex, too focused on towing, stupidly expensive

They need to make a 2 door with the same wheel base....and a sequential turbo 6 ...from Stellantis?.....I anticipate severe growing pains
They need to bring the diesel back.
The majority of people don't want a hybrid drive train.

It's not really a hybrid, it's PHEV, it need to be charged and a real hybrid don't what is more economic and makes more sense. But it's not cheap.
There has been absolutely zero confirmation that the Hurricane is ever coming to the JL Wrangler or the JT Gladiator 🙄

No desire for a hybrid. Pass

But I have the 2023. 😢
But I love it. 😂
Actually, I’m glad I have the 3.6 V6.
Until the hurricane engine is in the gladiator, to me it’s still a rumor.
So is it going to be good or trash? This video is confusing haha.
The hurricane engine has not proven itself reliable.
Front grill looks like it came off a Renegade......Yuck!!
Need to drop prices....way overpriced
Hang on to your non turbocharged non direct injected non hybrid pentastar v6
All of that is great but it has to be affordable😊
If it's a hybrid, then put a damn diesel in it.
Not interested until they bring the diesel back.
If these prices are this insane at least add rear heated seats for all models across the board 🗑🙄
I thought it came with a diesel engine too? But who am I to argue with the wisdom of a utuber?
That stopped in 2023
Never ever buy a 1st yr engine model.
No mention anywhere officially of the hurricane. Shame on you.
Bring back the Freedom Edition in 2025 with the new engines.
