SQ inherited those 737-800NG from Silk Air & that's why there are no personal TVs onboard due to their ages. The premium SQ inflight service pays it off. How excited to indulge yourself in Bali. There are hotels with definite pools hanging on the cliffs that offer spectacular views. Should try next time.
Singapore Airlines is by far my favorite Airline 👍🙂 The service provided in SQ in Business Class is just miles ahead everything you can experience in Europe.
Indeed. Here in Europe it's all about the national airlines feeding their hubs. Many years ago KLM and Swissair did introduce business class with similar seating (to what Jayden experienced with SQ) but it didn't work because demand varies so much depending on the route, day of week and time of day. However nothing in aviation is set in stone so hopefully the situation here will improve in future.

Awesome as always! The good thing Abt SQ is... it's consistent with their business class product...always great in service and the product is awesome! The issue I have and more so as a Singaporean is since COVID they have cut costs to the point the economy product is not up to par from pre COVID days and I could give many reasons and pics to prove my point. I'd love to try Singapore Airlines one day, but never had a chance. An Île flottante? Wow, that was amazing and such a rare treat served on flights! I am glad you got to try it and liked it, but my mom does it even better. She made some for Christmas and it was like a dream! (I didn't see caramel on yours?) All right, keep treating us, Bali boy! Terrific review, Jayden. I always enjoy these intra-asian short hauls, especially in/out of DPS. Tell me, is the air-conditioning working well inside the terminal now? Did it feel cool and comfortable to you? My past two trips thru DPS it's always been a bit on the (too) warm side, but definitely not as bad as Suvarnabhumi which is like a terrible sauna. 🥵
Did you notice that Bali Airport has a set of announcements played on the loudspeakers in the local Balinese dialect? One of them was played when you handed your boarding pass over to the ground staff. Tbh I am hoping SQ will at least equip this plane with IFE too. Seeing their MAXes get IFEs but not the NGs is just....unfair lol.

Although the beef was a bit rare for me ! It will be interesting to see how meals stack up on flights now you have become vegan. I have heard some vloggers describe really bad food offerings on flights for people who are vegan.

Yes Singapore Airlines are pretty good, mainly the staff that make it. I have done this trip a few times and love it. NO HELMET - really 1) illegal 2) no insurance. The Bali police are cracking down on this, lucky this time may be not next. CX 321neo don't serve destinations over 2.5 hours away (BKK is the furthest)vs. SQ max go to Australia so much longer journey on average and hence they've got flat beds.

Their business cabin is way superior to the QF 737s which is old and haggard, and no pride in upkeep. Seem to find dirty , untidy carpets and messy furnishings
both. Always wanted to be one. And have tried before but failed haha. But Australian eateries are increasingly becoming vegan friendlier so I gave it another go. 2.5 weeks into it and loving it :)
I actually enjoy it, I also like thrill rides and skiing where I feel the speed haha. If you want to avoid nosiness, I would say avoid the window seat, and put on a noise-cancelling headphone for takeoff and landing. You're still going to feel it but hearing less and looking less helps :)

Good that SQ gives out amenity kits again. Eliminating them made SQ seem very stingy and more profit- than customer-focused.
