I think it's not because of hijab which women facing hair-loss, it's because they tie their hair so tight which results in hair breakage and hairfall, the most famous hijab style which is camel hump in which the bun is at the top of your head is actually HARAM. so ppl should understand that if it is haraam then surely it will cause us harm in some or the other way.

Even in Malaysia, there still many Muslim women not covering their aurah properly, I won't called that they don't have a choice when they don't even follow the religion rules properly.

Do not use cotton. Cotton against the hair is extremely drying and will cause hair loss. A slippery material such as satin or silk wrap/bonnet under the hijab is a much better alternative to prevent hair loss
He also mentioned that non-breathable materials may cause dandruff and infections. Just don’t wear hijab on wet hair, and in summer try using breathable materials
