Impreza Engine Blows Up! (Getting New Motor)

Unfortunately, the engine in my 2007 Impreza 2.5i finally let go after showing signs of damage for weeks. This video is about the car's engine finally letting go, me getting it home, and detailing my future plans. Stay tuned to see the engine swap process and my progress on the car.

and i recently did new head gaskets, both valve covers, oil pan reseal, all new belts and spark plugs

Honestly the EJ253 is a pretty reliable engine that you shouldn't have to worry about much. Kinda odd for it just to just blow up unless it was treated badly. Do basic oil changes and matinence it should last a long time and I highly doubt it'll just blow.

Okay you probably already know this already but now is the perfect time to change the timing belt and the water pump. And whatever other stuff you need to do maintenance on before the engine actually goes in.
