One, Subaru is not a Dodge, Jeep, or RAM. They're not producing Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye, Demon, and Demon 170 engines. These just turbocharged 4-cylinders sport sedans. Two, the GR Corolla is 100% Toyota built. Subaru not building a VB gen WRX STI should have nothing to do with Toyota not letting Subaru bring a WRX STI to market because the STI was 100% Subaru built with enhancements from the STI Division. Toyota's partnership with Subaru was for the GT86/GR86 and BRZ twins and the bz4x and Solterra. Subaru has always had STIs long before the GR Corolla came into existence. Three, if it's about fuel economy, no one was complaining about when the EJ25 was 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. If anyone is buying an STI for fuel economy, the STI is not for them, with the exception that if you're going from a V8 to an i4, then that's the only exception with any turbocharged car: Civic Si, Elantra N-Line, Forte GT, Jetta GLI, Golf GTI (manual up until the end of the '24MY), Elantra N, GR Corolla, Used or Certified Pre-Owned WRX STI, Golf R (manual up until the end of the '24MY), FL5 Civic Type R and/or DE5 Integra Type S.
Maybe if you understood more about cars and car culture you'll realise that the VB gen isn't 'watered down'. the FA24F engine is a great engine, it can be tuned to make more power then a STI (EJ257 )while also being way more reliable. The VB chassis is rigid and great overall on track, the VB chassis literally came 2nd at the 2024 Goodwood Festival.
The issue is their low sales. When you look at the numbers, you can understand why the Legacy is gone now and no point to make the STI. Subaru doesn’t have a large financial pocket book like Toyota and Honda to make cars that don’t make them much profits

I dont think toyota cares about GR corolla sales in that way.. that wouldnt make any sense, Toyota stands alone and is massive compared to FHI.. its an interesting viewpoint, but it seems far fetched from a logical standpoint.
Source: Vibes, rumours, feelings. Geez dude youve stepped up from listicles and down to bullshit
Trust me bro
🙌
The brand is better off without WRX bros. In fact no brand is safe for these WRX bros.
271 on 93 = 251 whp now without any tunning put e85 in the tank and you’ll get that 271 whp…. That’s around 300 to the crank and thats crazy
The issue is their low sales. When you look at the numbers, you can understand why the Legacy is gone now and no point to make the STI. Subaru doesn’t have a large financial pocket book like Toyota and Honda to make cars that don’t make them much profits
Honestly I didn’t dig deep into the financials. But with Subaru’s volume they should have the cash on hand to have a loss leader
@@KeltonKozlowski Again, you should do more research. FHI (subaru) is owned in part by toyota, 20% i believe it is up to now. However they are still a very very small company in terms of automanufacturers. Juggernauts like VW, Honda, Toyota, GM etc are sometimes 10x bigger... esp VW, which is absolutely massive and the biggest auto maker in the world. Making a golf GTI, and golf R doesnt matter when they are that big. Its to lure in young customers to make them lifelong.
Porche just announced the Macan 4 and Turbo, both are EVs… the same is happening for the WRX STi.
The Turbo was removed from the lineup in 2023-24 and is coming back for 2025 as a full BEV on a new platform.
It’s only a matter of time
someone had to say it
Got you
That's a 22b not an sti also the mean eye also had 2 facelifts.
I love mine
Subaru has really fell of the map, they should have built new WRX sTi to go against the Corolla GR and Civic type R, massive mistake
I owned a 2005 Impreza WRX STI Colin McRae 555 Limited Edition. Great car but it blew up and I couldn't afford to fix it so let it go for next to nothing. They are worth over £25k now. PS I think it's pronounced "im-pret-zah" rather than "im-prez-ah".
Awesome car but unfortunately the engines tend to do that
@@KeltonKozlowski the EJ207 is now known for ringland, or bearing failure (rod knock).. How long have you been into subarus dude? my guess is you are pretty new..
Want a new STi get a GR Corolla.. Toyota owns a huge stake in Subaru hence why STi doesn't exist alongside with the GR Corolla
Competitors can get along….. RSQ8, Urus… 911, AMG GT….. its more than possible
@@KeltonKozlowski agreed but if you notice, JDM manufacturers don't collaborate so easily. When they used to compete pound for pound Toyota didn't own everything. Even Mitsubishi is RIP now. Nissan looks like they're facing the abyss too financially. Sucks but maybe business culture is different
As a 2020 STI owner I'm pretty much on the look out for a clean bug eye STI or GC8. Subaru isn't going to make another car like WRX STI again and I've excepted that. Don't get me wrong the VB has a lot going for it but I cant get behind the look of it both inside and outside
Why do you put a useless arrow pointing to the car in your thumbnail? Useless arrows amount to clickbait bullshit. Oh well, another channel blocked.
A1 satire
bro there hasnt been a real WRX since like 2014 lmao. these are all Hyundai's
What
Huh?
What are you talking about? Let me guess, it ain't a Subie unless it's a 5-door hatchback.
Heavy, Oversized, open diffs, expensive. there is hardly anything in this vehicle that resembles what a Subaru was all about. its closer to a Hyundai that a Traditional Subaru. that's fine if you wanna sell cars to the masses but nothing to fanboi over. emphasis on weight and open differentials.
broadly speaking they now lack any redeemable quality. its just a disposable vehicle now.
You clearly don’t own a VB. You’re flat out wrong it’s better than the VA and VA STI. You know nothing stop making videos.
