    This Miele is one of the best vacuums I've ever used. 😍 It's so lightweight for a cannister vac.

      I ended up buying a C3 powerline that had the universal attachment, but to make hard floor vacuuming faster and easier I also got the hardfloor twister. So I first do area rugs and then change to the twister and it’s really good!

      Small feedback though, there's a really weird cut in the C1 explanation that skips over a bunch of the models, so it might be good to reupload if you still have the footage!

    I love how you breakdown your reviews through your technical perspective of being a technician. I always feel like technicians are always gonna give you the whole truth about a product so it’s nice to see that. I’ve seen two of your videos so far and it seems you really stand behind Miele unless it’s a central vac and this brand seems like a Buy It For Life type of purchase. Thank you!

    Looking very forward to the comparison video with Sebo. Trying to compare what appears to be the better filtration, appearance, brand recognition and accessories for non-carpeted areas on the Miele to the better build quality, reliability, ease of maintenance, warranty, cost of ownership and carpet power head on the Sebo is a tricky balancing act.

Today the orange tab showed in the window so I checked the installatiion of the new bag I just put into it, checked filters were mounted properly, but it is making a fluttering noise plus the orange guage is still showing every time I turn it on??? I’m still loving my UniQ Miele Canister... only had one “challenge” with LED Vacuum Head (service shop owner drove out to my house, how’s that for service!!!). I’m vertically challenged, and spiders love the ceiling corners... I ordered (non-Miele) “All Parts Etc"..extension [3 sections]...needed an adapter (1¼ to 1⅜), project pending... spiders beware? Other than that, Miele is my wingman, I treat it nicely, it performs SUPER. All the metallic colors match, Miele, LG, ... must be “in color” for Europe?

  • @LlyleHunter
    @LlyleHunter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    My favorite C3 is the Marin as it’s dressy in its navy blue case and I like the sleekness of its powerhead. However I’ve had so many problems with sockets and plugs on power nozzle canisters over the years that I now prefer buying straight suction canisters and adding a turbo nozzle for daily use on my rugs and having an upright on hand for twice weekly deep cleaning. I can assure myself of years of trouble free service this way.
    I wish that Miele didn’t obfuscate the C1 and C2 designations in their lineup in the US market. It’s so confusing. I love my Pure Suction which they’ve designated a C1 but is really a C2. I’ve added the turbo nozzle and Sub20 articulated dusting brush and the machine is so versatile and makes for quick time cleaning my first floor.

    They are complex indeed, it took me two hours to find the right bags for the new Miele c1 gray ($300). I’m grateful to be able to afford a real German made Miele. However, it may be users fault even though user had manual in her free hand for reference. It drags on my rugs but the settings are also complex, for me. I’m tossing between a 1800W vs a 2000W vacuum, does this really make a huge difference in performance? I think most of the bagged ones are max 1800W and although I prefer a 2000W and bag less vacuum I’m now leaning towards a bagged vacuum but I like the grunt therefore I can only get the bagged variety. Am I right? My house is single story, 3 bedrooms with hard floors and some area rugs.

    Great Video! However I have questions: Mind you, I am 65 years old and don't want anything to heavy.
    I live in 1500 SF Single Floor House with Plush carpets everywhere except Kitchen and Dining Room.
    My Dining room seats 4 Huge Bird Flight cages filled with 30 Birds. (Lots of seeds, Dander & Feathers 24X7).
    At the moment, for last 5 years, I have been using ShopVac (6 gallons) on wheels with my Kirby attachments.
    It does well getting up the bulk of mess, however, it's not the best, I don't think.
    For my carpets, I use the Kirby - that I just love. However, I don't think it really cleans the dander out of carpets. Because after I vacuum, I steam clean, with Hoover, and water is always so dirty and lots of seeds in water.
    Any suggestions on which Miele I should get? Or should I look into getting something else?
    Thank you for reading. Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma USA

    I love just about everything Miele makes, but I really hate how they position themselves in the US market, very similar to Sebo. They charge American customers so much more on average that most of their other markets. One of the exceptions is the HX1. That seems to be expensive wherever you go. I don’t like not supporting my local vacuum stores as their prices aren’t necessarily their fault, but I will almost always just import my German vacs from elsewhere and spend so much less for the same machine, minus maybe the color.

It is much cheaper, but again I don’t hold the vacs shops at fault as they have little wiggle room. Sebo and Miele use the “German made” to their advantage whereas a German product, while still valued in Europe, isn’t as strong a selling point as it is here is the US.

Keep in mind though as a general rule of thumb, only Canadian and a few others vacs will not require a voltage converter transformer to operate correctly. We use 120V at 60Hz. They carry a specific model for hard floors in area rugs. The machine is sold with no warranty and is considered second hand. For $500 I would just go to your local dealer.

    • @kyle-qw5yx

      @@PerformanceReviews I would say the extra cost and hassle comes with bags. If I were to buy a Mighty Mite the annual cost of bags is about the price of the vacuum itself.

      You have your ideas backwards from reality. Bags cost less or the same money. Bagged vacuums last longer. There's a reason that commercial vacuums are all bagged.

    The C3 is $1300 in USA, around $800 in Canada and only £329.00 in UK. It's the exact same vacuum. Find a company that doesn't use discriminatory pricing practices.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not the exact same vacuum at all. Here in the United States we require a electric power nozzle for carpet. This adds the second motor and is not available in the other two countries. Also the shipping price to get it halfway around the world is of course factored in there.

    Really wish you spent more time on the bagless ones, and why you're not recommending them. I have a Dyson DC39 that I've had for almost 10 years. It's clearly on it's last legs, and is at the shop to be diagnosed. It still works, I just don't think its getting the carpet as clean as it used to. I've never owned a vacuum that takes bags. Things like this do annoy me. I hate having to buy little things for upkeep. I'm also really hesitant to go the bag route cause we have 4 cats, one poofy one, and I think those bags are going to fill up awful fast. I empty my DC 39 canister every other time I run it, usually once a week. Sooooooo if I get a bagged vacuum am I going to be going thru 1 or 2 bags a month? Just seems like it's gonna get awful expensive awful fast.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go check them out at your local store. You could expect about 10+ of your dc39 emptys to a bag . Don't expect to be going through during the new vacuum bags. Of course the first time you clean you might fill one a new vacuum will always clean up after an older one.

She went with a Meile when she finally retired that monster, it was so hefty. I definitely intend to talk to the local guy when I hear back about the DC39. Weirdo I know but I feel like I've left a friend behind, lol that DC39 and I have swept up an awful lot of dust bunnies, my hair, and cat hair in 10 years. dude is fro real? theres no benefit to a bagless vacuum cleaner? other than not having to spend another $500 a year on bags

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Baggless vacuum cleaners don't need no maintenance. In the case of the Miele here there is a $100 that needs to be replaced once a year and every other year there's another $100 filter that needs to be replaced. A typical years worth of bags for their machines run $21-42 a year. So again there's actual benefit to Bagless. The bagged vacuum is less expensive to run.
