Thank You! The Roborock S7 works really well! Run it on full power all the time, but miss the obstacle avoidance which actually hinders me from running it on a schedule and thus I need to "prepare" the home before starting it.
You list the Roborock S& MaxV Ultra as top machine. After 5 month I can confirm that, when it's working as it should, it's a good machine. We paid $1600, incl. extra pads, vac bags etc. After 3 month its flaws began to show: very frequent 'water filter cleaning' became frequent in spite of us keeping a super clean household, no pets, no children, no street shoes. The second biggest problem is the 'bleeding' of the various room or zone colors into other rooms, resulting in RR S7 MaxV Ultra to frantically buzzing to other rooms to 'clean' areas or rooms it's not meant to go; and problem is pervasive with our machine. we have, at least, 9 areas where room colors seep from 1 room into another, or even outside our house walls(!) prompting the RR's frenetic attempts to 'roll there and clean'. Another big problem is its software, suddenly and on its own, changes the assigned docking station to another area in the house, resulting in utter confusion for the RR to find any room and perform any requested service, and only by tricking it and the software, can be, with much patience, reversed. This brings me to the # 1 problem with Roborock I experienced: The Roborock's Customer assistance and help line. Their simple response to the color bleeding or involuntary docking station removal is: "You have to redo your whole house mapping". This, for us, is a problem as we have a 2200 sq.ft. house and various objects get removed when cleaning. Cleaning 1 room at the time, doing this is OK; but not with 10 rooms plus various hallways. All that aside, the question occurs: How come the machine suddenly changes its mapped docking station, but the engineers who developed the software don't know how to undo that . . where does one turn to, to correct those flaws??
Same problem with my Roborock s5, it tries to get into other rooms it’s not supposed it and takes double the time. Also randomly changes docking area and I have to constantly clear history and restart, but otherwise it’s a great robot vacuum, I had it for two years and only physically vacuumed a few times.

Delete all of your favorites and recreate them. I am assuming your app works like that also. After so many favorites the app gets... confused? But it fixed the problem for me. Start with you main ones and see how it goes I hope this helped.
@@farmdaze9961 Your "Delete all of your favorites and recreate them. I am assuming your app works like that also." does not apply to the Roborock S7 Max, Ultra. No fav's, with the RR series but thanks for the effort.
I had an Roomba I3+. A year later I upgraded to J7+ and very happy with it. I also purchased the Braava Jet to go with the J7. Though I'm happy with the J7, the Braava is just acceptable. Should Have waited to save a few more dollars and purchase the S7 MaxV. I have no carpet, all ceramic tiles. But I love the video, straight to the point. Great Job.
My wife got a problem with her leg and cant walk much.. so this video helped me to pick up Roborock S7 maxv and its the best choice ever.. worth the money i say.. it clean very well and we dont need to remove much obstacle.. so my wife can sit very freely.. thank you very much for the review..
I just picked up a Wyze for $150 to replace our Roomba 692 and I can't believe how much I love this thing. I can only wonder how significant of a leap a vac that costs 10x as much is.
I’ve been running a Roborock s4 for over 3 years. With constant software updates it still can compete with newer robot vacuums. There app/software/mapping tech is second to none.
My first one was the Roomba i7 and it worked fine, until it stopped charging properly. Out of frustration I got a new one, the Roborock Q5+. It is SO much better! Mapping was so fast, and accurate. It took my iRobot like 2+ hours to map my 2000sf house. Took the RoboRock like 20 minutes. And when the Roborock vacuums, it is also so much faster and efficient than the iRobot. The only downside is that it is slightly wider than the iRobot, so it can't go through my chair legs like the iRobot could, but it still manages to get everything clean! So happy with it, highly recommend Roborock over iRobot.
I have the I7 and I want to throw it through the window. Good to know you like the Q5. I have the Shark AI downstairs and like it. But may have to try the Q5 to replace the I7.
Terrific analyses! Comprehensive and objective; the best reviewer and reviews on the web by far. Your videos deserve 100's of thousands of more views. Bought my Q5+ based on your tests, and I'm extremely pleased. Thank you!!
I have the shark IQ. The app is poor, but mine has no problem building a map and updating it every time it finds something new. I also think a lot of it's edge cleaning problem comes from having single brushes on each side, I picked up a set of double brushes for $15 and it fixed most of the problems. As much as I'd love to have a top-tier machine, I paid $150 for mine and am pretty happy with it. I will note however that it pays no attention whatsoever to no-go zones, and seems bound and determined to get wrapped up in wires because of it. On the other hand, I love that I can set it to come back to the dock every half hour to empty itself, and if it doesn't feel it worked hard enough on the first charge it'll come back, charge itself up and go back out to finish. One weird thing I noticed is that the first outing takes it to 50% battery and it comes back. Second time, it'll run the battery almost flat before it comes back in. I got it specifically to pick up dog hair and it's very effective for that.
I didn't think I would watch the entire video, but I did! It was quite informative (and since I recently bought a Q7 Max I was curious as to where this robot would end on your list). The list is quite extensive and I have to praise you for that. Though I do miss one of the most popular robots from the past few years (like the Roborock S5, S5 Max, S6 and S6 Pure). Overall a great video without too much unnecessary details. Because of this you have gained a sub! :D
We have had a D7 for 3-4 years and just bought another one for upstairs when they were on Black Friday sale this past November. The first one has always been problem free and we replaced the battery after 3 years and 700 something cycles. My wife runs it at least every other day, sometimes more often. The second one we bought was bad and had lots of problems. We returned it for another. The replacement has been trouble free. I respect the testing, but in our experience as long as you get a good Neato, the D7 is amazing. Does a great job cleaning and the navigation is great including the use of no go lines and zones. I wonder if you guys got a bad copy or something inherent to your test setup caused issues and errors. We simply do not see them with ours and they are well used. Heck we even had an old Botvac 85 or whatever that lasted us over 7 years with only batteries, a couple of bearings, and a few sensor deoxit treatments.
@@Rydeg. I think it does a great job, but I also have never poured a bag of Cheerios on the floor to really test it. I feel like it does an exceptional job. On the hardwood floors they feel legit clean, every bit and maybe better than hand vacuuming. It also does well on carpet but that’s harder to quantify.
I also have an older D7 and never had any errors. Another great feature, and the reason I bought it, was I can use it on 3 different floors, although I must move the base each time..
Yeah! I was shocked to see them rated so low, but they are pretty old. I have two Neato D7s and they have always been fantastic. Pretty Serviceable too. Only recently has one had issues which has led me here.
Still got my Roborock S6, Thing is a beast. I no longer have to vacuum and it goes into places that I have trouble with using the Stick Vac. Still have to vacuum carpet here and there but the S6 was well worth the money. Never has gotten stuck and it one smart ass robot. I have an office with 2 doors one on each side with a carpet in the middle. 1 day i decided to put no go zones around the carpet and only vacuum the floors on each side. The roborock was vacuuming one side and all of a sudden, I saw it "thinking" after it was done, did some quick computation and drove itself to the other door to vacuum the other side of the room. Shit is amazing.
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming the go-to for many homes these days. I don't have pets or small children, so it seems good for my home. I only have hardwood floors and rugs, so the moping function is a great highlight. I want you to create a video for high-end robot mop/vac devices such as the Eufy S1 Pro, X10 Pro Omni, and Dyson 360 Vis Nav.
Although this ranking takes into account a lot of factors .. in reality.. I have found that mapping and navigation algorithm is THE MOST IMPORTANT factor for a robot vacuum.. more than suction power, and things like picking up edge debris and tangling on brushrolls. No home is as dirty as shown on tests.. and given the fact that we can run the vacuum daily.. efficiency is much more important.
Idk why this video brought me so much joy. I found myself cheering or gasping when the various tier ratings were announced. Eager to see an annual revision.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm currently working on putting together a tier list for cordless vacuums. I hope to get an updated robot vacuum tier list done by the end of the year.
Nice review. A little kinder to some of the shortcomings than I would have been. The more videos I watch, the more I'm convinced that moping and vacuum bots need to be separate. It's hard enough to get a bot to do one of these tasks at a high level. No need to make the job harder. If price was a consideration, I'd just get a vacuum bot, and mop myself. In fact, that's what I'm doing now while I plan on moving. I had a braava back before iRobot bought the company, and it was decent. I'll eventually get the m6. I also had an old iRobot Scuba that was great. It did a fantastic job keeping floors clean. If they ever brought that line back with a empty/fill station, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. If they were smart, they'd design it to use a water line, and drain along with a cleaning solution reservoir.
Although the Roborock S4 max was not mention it’s affordable and gets the job down. I would rate it at the tier “S” , it has LiDAR and cleans up the corners well in carpet and wood flooring.
Your review videos are "stellar" - I knew very little about vacuuming / mopping robots until I discovered one of your videos and ultimately this channel. Previously I only had heard of Roomba's but had no idea about the sheer amount of other brands in this category. After watching your reviews and videos from others, I settled on the roborock S7 MaxV over the their newer roborock S8 model. Memorial weekend deal for $539.99 and I also opted for with additional 3 year extended warranty ($60.99) offered through Amazon, because of the 1 star reviews and malfunction complaints on pretty much all brands. Thanks for doing such an awesome job on vacuum robots; it saved me a ton of time conducting my own research. Keep it going...
Just remember, they don't sell extended warranty because they are such a great deal for the consumer. Most extended warranties are carefully worded so nothing that usually goes wrong is covered.
Here's a real world comparison of Roomba j7 and Roborock S7 MaxV. The Roomba is a solid performer that vacuums well, maps well, self empties and is easy to clean and maintain. It also has stellar customer service - real people, easy to contact, who walk you through problem solving. I waited for the Roborock to release the MaxV because I thought mopping on our tile floors would be a big plus. I sent the Roomba to the second floor and splashed out for the Roborock on the main floor - at three times the cost of the Roomba! Right away, I quickly regretted my purchase. The Roborock mopping pad curls up and peels off in use. Worst of all, though, the Roborock can't handle throw rugs that are no problem for the Roomba. It curls up the edge and gets tangled up and stuck. For the past couple of months, it has not been emptying its dust bin, despite all my cleaning of the chute leading to the dust collecting bag. CONCLUSION: I'm waiting for the next Black Friday sale to get another Roomba to replace the Roborock, which I will give away just to get rid of it. I regret the $1500 I wasted on it.
I believe you need to test the Neato in a different environment. The vacuum might think it’s stuck due to the limited space. The same error can be seen if it gets stuck under a bed. Under normal use I rarely get error codes unless it sucks up the occasional phone cord or sock it’s found under the bed.
Brought one for my parents to help them with the cleaning sir to their age, they have a Dyson and rarely use the Dyson because the Neato D7 connect does a great job, never had a problem and it's been used every other day for about 5 years. This test is definitely wrong. 😮
Interesting. There's a couple things that are important with the Shark. For one you need to make sure it's on full power cleaning mode, which can only be accessed via the app. If you use it without the app, it's a default is eco mode. I'm actually really surprised at how well the shark IQ works after using Neatos for the past decade. I literally just got done testing my shark IQ vs my neato bovac connected (which is a very expensive robo vac). The shark absolutely destroyed the neato on both carpet and hardwood which I was not expecting at all. I've also owned many Roomba and always preferred Neato. That said I can't find one thing to complain about with this Shark, especially for the price. I think it works great.
What a great video, moves along at a brisk pace and covers every single thing you could want in making this decision. Although I'd love the S7 MaxV, it's pretty expensive and my moppable spaces aren't quite big enough to justify the expense. But I am getting the Q5+ through your affiliate link. Much appreciate you doing all the hard research work so I didn't have to!
The new Dreame L10S Ultra wash/vacuum model is far superior to its predecessors - we got one last week. Its mopping, cleaning, self emptying & mapping features are incredible and for a really decent price. Test that one when you get chance! The app & controls are amazing - has nav/security camera too.
@@eatpurrmeow Well even youtube and Facebook do that. It's not right, but your data is not that valuable as you think... Maybe if you're politician or diplomat xd
I bought a Neato Robotics Botvac D85 in 2016 through Amazon; it was an expensive piece of kit in that era. It performed well in my big open space apartment with 2 resident cats for 13 months (one month past its warantee), the started acting funny with its charging and doing its rounds until it stopped working. Amazon sent me a replacement that had the same exact lifespan. Seemed that the device was designed to fail just after its warantee expiration.
Would've liked to see how the Xiaomi vacuums compare to these ones, I have a Xiaomi Vaccum Mop 2S (which I believe has recently been discontinued) but I believe it to be one the best budget vacuums out there, you could get it for under 200€ and cleans surprisingly well for the price.
@@elisabettajdj335 not really, they've separated the brands yes, but Xiaomi still comes out with new robots nowadays, they have higher and lower end segments still.
Most of the problems with not cleaning along the edges can be solved by a sweeper with longer arms. Presumably, this is also what the update in the next model is about 🙂
A few weeks ago I bought Dreame l10s ultra for 550eur. It includes a self cleaning station. Extremely happy with the purchase. The Roborock S7 with the similar station costs almost x3.
Ausome video! I was wanting for the s8 with the included self cleaning of the mop pad. For such an expensive appliance that needs additional parts did not seem like value for money. Good luck everyone.
I have one of these RopVacNic Robot Vacuum Cleaner G90 from Amazon... all 5 stars (probably fake reviews). We let it run around the kitchen and did not clean anything. Filter was crystal clear. Just sprayed water all over the place and make the dirt spread around. The central sucking up area just did not work... Give it zero stars of 5. It was quiet though. The Rumba ball tracking just pops out.. but in this knockoff, the ball tracker is stuck in there. Yes, the pad is dirty but I could just drag it accross the wet floor. Complete waist of $180. Zero stars of 5 (did not show us the tank.. mine was still clean.. should be dirty. We had an old Floor iRobot Scuba floor type (8 years ago) and the tank would get just gross dirt and often take 2 exchanges to get floor clear. It was only for floors. It worked well for a long long time.
A couple important characteristic I wished you'd included. The ability to vac over throw rugs of varying heights and battery life/replacement. Some cannot handle any throw rugs regardless its height.
Thanks for your analysis, which was succinct and on-point. One extra thing I would have liked to have known about was the apps. I have a Conga, which works pretty well in brushing (not in mopping); but the app regularly couldn't log-in, and then it updated and required me to give lots of privacy settings it had no reason to need. So I can no longer use it, except by only pressing the 'clean' button on top. It's a show-stopper, so I think important info to know about in advance.
The only robots in this video that would navigate differently in low/no light are camera robots without a light - the Roomba i7, Roomba s9, and Shark IQ. Camera robots with a light - the Roomba j7 and Combo j7 - navigate without issue in low/no light. So do random, gyroscope, and LiDAR robots.
Used to have a Neato D7, worked great but had a major failure on the control board after a couple years and would be several hundred dollars to repair. Now we have the Roborock Q5 and it is great. Had to send it back once due to failure of suction. Quick warranty replacement. However the video states it is self emptying, which is not correct. It does not self empty. Overall the Q5 is great
Did you do any decibel readings? Our first vac was a iRobot years ago. So noisy you could not hold a conversation in the same room. We then got a Eufy 11s and it was far more quiet. It is now broken, as was losing performance, so it is time for another. Just don't want a loud one!
I have the following on my Amazon wish list, and as of today the prices are; Ecovacs T20 Omni - $989 iRobot J9+ Combo - $1399 DreameBot L20 Ultra - $1499 Roborock S8 Pro Ultra - $1599 That's a huge price difference, do the prices reflect/justify the differences in performance and features? I'm finally ready to pull the trigger and buy one but decided between these is very hard. We have a home that is mostly tile and hardwood with throw rugs. We want the best, is that the Roborock? I'd love to see these four go side-by-side.
It's interesting how much Shark was able to improve between generations. I would love to get your opinion on the AI 360. It has added air vents that are supposed to push debris away from edges and corners. I ordered one for only ~265€ as an Amazon warehouse deal (330€ new). My alternative would have been the Roborock Q7 Max+ which costs 489€ here. These are my choices because I have a German Shepherd that sheds year-round.
I own a shark ai ultra 2 in 1. I’d put it in either a lower A tier or upper B tier. Shark has made a lot of excellent improvements to the app and it is much more accurate and less buggy these days. The AI 2 in 1 is a damn good vacuum for the price! The mopping is quite excellent and it cleans corners flawlessly. It also does an edge run before fully mopping and vacuuming. But I will definitely be getting a Roborock if they ever offer a bagless option. That’s honestly one of the things that sold me.
I can't overstate how important the "robot" aspect is when evaluating robot vacuums. The s9 is a terrific vacuum. It has excellent suction, like you said. But it's not a good robot.
@@consumer-analysis I recently made a comparison between this robot and others. I am not familiar with the cons you listed. This robot functions incredibly well with mapping and navigation. I wonder if your test vs the VSLAM tech inside does not provide enough data for the robot to localize itself. Mine has located every room and barrier in our house to a very accurate degree. Transitions between carpet and tile are handled with changes to the vacuums behavior. Not sure what your issues were but to say that the S9 navigation is anything less than superb is odd and seems to fall on its face. Not to mention it's capability when vacuuming is FAR superior to all other vacuums on the list with the exception of the S7 which has an additional method of navigation in the obstacle avoidance camera. Not your fault but I think my disagreement is merited.
Does the Roborock Q5 deal well with pet hair? Especially when also mopping? We have a cat who sheds.. a LOT :/ Which is why I'm considering getting a robot vacuum in the first place. You mentioned the short- and long hair tests with a few vacuums, but not all. If anyone has experience with this, I'd love to hear about it! Edit: Actually, never mind. I can't find one for sale anywhere. I keep searching and it keeps only showing me only newer models so now I have to re-decide which one to get...
Have you ever tested the Ecovacs Deebot? I was looking at the t9+ and now I'm interested in that Roborock Q5. I've been seeing a lot of reviews with the roborock.
I agree with most comments - Ecovacs offer great features but their quality is terrible. Even with 70% off (including their loyalty coupon) I didn’t buy another after both of theirs failed in 12-18 months. The Roborock S6 MaxV and Q7 Max work really well with good mapping but not as good as Ecovacs. But their weakness is deep cleaning carpet. This is where the iRobot i7+ does a really good job. Worse mapping overall but simple to use including voice commands with Siri and great on carpets.
It should be noted that no robot vacuum is meant to be good at deep cleaning carpets. They're meant to be quiet, quick, efficient, and automated. The hard part of that list is "quiet". You can't have a powerful vacuum motor and have a quiet vacuum. Just look at the Shark Vertex. Excellent suction power at the head but it's pretty loud when you run it. Great for deep cleaning but putting that motor in a robot vacuum would be unacceptable. Until we find a new way to have super powerful suction with far less noise, no robot vacuum will ever be "good at deep cleaning carpet".
@@Dyanosis they aren’t perfect, but I make sure to get ones that have manually adjustable suction modes and always run on max. They are definitely not quiet. But they are quite effective. For what they need to do - pick up pet hair - they do a really good job.
thank ypu this was extremely helpfull, your findings are very much in line with others that actually truly test stuff. based on this i found an Q7 max+ for 460€ in promotions, if i see form where the prices are coming i considder that a steal! i can't thank you enough
If you change the side brushes on the shark robot for a 3 sides side brush the performance cleaning edges improves a lot. I have a shark iq, and when I opened and saw the side brush could not believe it that one side side brush could clean well, so I purchased the uefy side brushes and modify the shark to fit the eufy side brushes. But this year I discovered that shark is making 3 sides side brushes now, so I purchased some. I haven't tried them yet since the robot have good eufy side brushes. Once they need replacement, I will install the shark 3 sides side brush and see if they perform better or equal to the eufy.
I bought my wyze robot vacuum brand new for $160 and have been so happy with the purchase! Looking to get the roborock s7maxv in the future for the mopping.
Just had my Eufy die and I read other people having their die the same way (stops charging even with a new battery). I think they deserve a bit lower. I'm gonna give roborock a shot. Nice to see the one I just got is S tier in this video.
xi omni is actually A tier if anything. Ive used mine for over a year now and it doesnt move erratically or map bad at all. You forgot to mention that it can be ordered to only vacuum or vacuum and mop and you can pick what room it should clean.
From this looks like i luckily bought the by far the best one there is since i have no carpets the roborock s7 at a decent sale aswel and it realy has has been great so far
Me thinking my Neato D7's were hot stuff! Maybe back when they first released? Hahahaha. Thank you for the video. I am in the market to upgrade and this was a shocking revelation.
Hi, have you tested any of the xiaomi products? I am interested in the roborock q5 but it simply is not available in my country, so I would like to know how it compares with similarly priced xiaomi robots, like the xiaomi mop 2 pro+. I can get the roborock s6 for around the same price but the edge cleaning is a big disappointment.. Thanks and keep up your awesome work, no doubt you make the best factual reviews out there, congrats!
I haven't tested any Xiaomi products, though I'm getting enough requests for them that I may consider buying at least one Xiaomi robot next time I buy robot vacuums for review.
So sad you made a test area smaller than the minimum working area for the Neato and there is no asymmetry or anything to allow storing the map for later cleaning. I bet many of the vacuums would do better if a fake door jamb was set up in the area and the area slightly enlarged.
10 years ago I was watching Super Smash Bros tier lists, now I'm watching Vacuum tier lists... getting old is rough
That was gold!!!!

I bought the Roborock s7 maxV because of you guys, and I couldn't be happier with it. Thank you!
You still happy with the purchase
Yeah 7 months later and are you still happy? Trying to decide
What you thinking now, 9 months in?
Where did you find the double brushes that fit the shark models?
I didn't think I would watch the entire video, but I did! It was quite informative (and since I recently bought a Q7 Max I was curious as to where this robot would end on your list). The list is quite extensive and I have to praise you for that. Though I do miss one of the most popular robots from the past few years (like the Roborock S5, S5 Max, S6 and S6 Pure).
Overall a great video without too much unnecessary details. Because of this you have gained a sub! :D
How is it now? Worth it?
Thanks
What's the quietest option out of all of those?
Man thanks so much for your work.
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
Heck we even had an old Botvac 85 or whatever that lasted us over 7 years with only batteries, a couple of bearings, and a few sensor deoxit treatments.
i have a NEATO D5, i recommend it to everyone
May I ask if the Edge an d corner cleaning works well ?
Hopefully by the end of this year, I do plan on testing and making videos for each of the models you listed.
Which vaccum do you recommend?
@@thecam0073 omni 1s, dreame l10s pro
you are right. all these video is such chinese cheap Propaganda, make me sick really
@@MrShin-wr3gfhow on earth is it Chinese propaganda? 😂
Same here. I miss the scoobas. I still have an old scooba 230 that still works, I use on occasion.
Although the Roborock S4 max was not mention it’s affordable and gets the job down. I would rate it at the tier “S” , it has LiDAR and cleans up the corners well in carpet and wood flooring.
Roborock will beats out roomba all day long
Your review videos are "stellar" - I knew very little about vacuuming / mopping robots until I discovered one of your videos and ultimately this channel.
I oh
Just remember, they don't sell extended warranty because they are such a great deal for the consumer. Most extended warranties are carefully worded so nothing that usually goes wrong is covered.
Cant believe ive never found this channel, thanks for your hard work man, you even made ranking roombas interesting by putting them in tiers lol

Under normal use I rarely get error codes unless it sucks up the occasional phone cord or sock it’s found under the bed.
my NEATO is amazing!
Yep, I agree. Something isn’t right. Our D7 works great with rarely an error.
I'm using a Neato D7 for 5 years now(in 2 different apartments) and I've never ever seen it show an error unless it tangled in something.
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting!
I second that!
The new Dreame L10S Ultra wash/vacuum model is far superior to its predecessors - we got one last week. Its mopping, cleaning, self emptying & mapping features are incredible and for a really decent price. Test that one when you get chance! The app & controls are amazing - has nav/security camera too.
Update after a month?
I do not know if it's so reasonably priced. It's twice the price of the Q7 Max+ in my country and does not have much more functions.
what about security? how do you control what data this device is gathering from your home or your LAN and sending it to some unknown parties abroad?
that one is high as hell!
@@eatpurrmeow Well even youtube and Facebook do that. It's not right, but your data is not that valuable as you think... Maybe if you're politician or diplomat xd
No.Dreme L10 L20? The onky vac that would actually compare to the S7 or S8
GREAT vid.. I like how you just get to the point quickly!
Thanks for the positive feedback. I appreciate it!
Just bought the Q5+ for $399 as a Christmas gift to the fiancé. Definitely will be an upgrade from our terrible ILIFE V3s Pro. Thanks!
I have deebot. Amazing reboot. Cleans very efficiently .it has front camera and laser mapping. Never got stuck anywhere.
I had the same experience with my Neato. Won’t buy another one
Would've liked to see how the Xiaomi vacuums compare to these ones, I have a Xiaomi Vaccum Mop 2S (which I believe has recently been discontinued) but I believe it to be one the best budget vacuums out there, you could get it for under 200€ and cleans surprisingly well for the price.
roborock was xiaomi back then, so xiaomis are basically older roborocks
@@elisabettajdj335 not really, they've separated the brands yes, but Xiaomi still comes out with new robots nowadays, they have higher and lower end segments still.
Holy smokes -- great video!!! You spent a lot of time on little details! Thank you for your consumer service! Liked and subbed!
Wow. Awesome comparison video. Best I've seen so far on TH-cam. Short and precise without filler. Subscribed to your channel.
Recently purchased Q5 (2 months ago) and it was worth every penny. Just keep the sensors in front clean or dust and it works as promise.
Well you got into a lot of trouble to test all these robot vacuum's , and your tests are very thorough . Subscribed!!!
Ausome video! I was wanting for the s8 with the included self cleaning of the mop pad. For such an expensive appliance that needs additional parts did not seem like value for money. Good luck everyone.
Best video I've watched about robot vacuum cleaners... It is perfectly useful to choose your cleaner...
Thanks for the kind words!
Excellent review, appreciate the time and effort that went into this
I have one of these RopVacNic Robot Vacuum Cleaner G90 from Amazon... all 5 stars (probably fake reviews).
What about any of the Xiaomi?? like the s20+ how does it compare? or where would it be situated?
thanks for the excellent info and easy to find sections from your time stamps....hugely appreciated
Hi! What tier would you put the xiaomi s10+ vaccum in?
Thank you, you made shopping for a Christmas gift easy
Low/no light performance should also be considered. Some robots don’t clean in the dark. Which for some might be a dealbreaker.
Just install smart switches and have the lights turn on at the same time the robot stars up
I first got the Roomba J7 and it did an awful job on carpet. Upgraded to the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and I love it!
Excellent comparative analysis but would have liked to see the samsung Jetbot ai+ included
Thank you so much
This video saved me a lot of time for researching
I Bought Q5+ and I am so excited about him. He cleans my working room before I wake up, and when he cleans my apartment when I sit to work.
I have the following on my Amazon wish list, and as of today the prices are;
Ecovacs T20 Omni - $989
iRobot J9+ Combo - $1399
DreameBot L20 Ultra - $1499
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra - $1599
That's a huge price difference, do the prices reflect/justify the differences in performance and features? I'm finally ready to pull the trigger and buy one but decided between these is very hard. We have a home that is mostly tile and hardwood with throw rugs. We want the best, is that the Roborock? I'd love to see these four go side-by-side.
I think the T20 performance is similar to the Roborock S8 Pro ultra so the Roborock is certainly overpriced.
Dreame D9 Owner for 4 years Very happy with it dont use Mopping function
The s9 beats the Shei out of all of the other robots suction. This review is crazy.
We have a cat who sheds.. a LOT :/
Which is why I'm considering getting a robot vacuum in the first place.
Try the secondhand market. With some time you might be able to find a good deal on a lightly used one.
I've had a roborock s5 for 6 years now, still going strong. Looks like the newer models have a ton of new features
Phe….friggen…..nominal job guys. That might be the best video about this topic on the web.
I have Dreamebot L10S PRO with mop . Its perfect
Best breakdown on youtube. Roborock Q5 will be for me.
Roborock is like the Ultimaker.
Prices are just going up. Almost 2000d for the flagship.
thanks for the video. got question regarding durability, what are the performance depreciation after 10-20 weeks of usage?
Freaking awesome. It is the future. This is my contest submission. 👍
I bought the wyze without doing any research. I got lucky with that one. It's great!

AMZING VIDEO BTW!!!
Good job on the video. How about the new ecovac t20 omni? Where would you put it?
You should add test for cleaning dark surfaces. From my experience, quite a few robot vacuums refuse to clean black/dark blue etc. carpets.
I'll definitely consider it. Thank you for the suggestion.
Great review! What do you think about Tapo RV30 plus?
Feeling very validated in my quite impulsive purchase of the q7 Max + 😝

@@consumer-analysis Great! They seem to have good overall performance for the price but lack in the carpet cleaning
@@consumer-analysis I would be very interested in some Xiaomi reviews, they have a lot of presence outside of North America as well, in EUrope.
So sad you made a test area smaller than the minimum working area for the Neato and there is no asymmetry or anything to allow storing the map for later cleaning. I bet many of the vacuums would do better if a fake door jamb was set up in the area and the area slightly enlarged.
Looking forward to the next list.
I'm assuming the iHome is all E tier? Mine died after a year of use and just outside of warrenty coverage.
