Just got my Complete C3 and I’m thankful for your video!! The tips are most helpful!! This is my second Miele (my first is in storage and I knew about none of these tips!). So… thanks!!
This video convinced me to buy my Miele C3 and I cannot thank you enough. It sounds ridiculous that I went hunting for a vacuum video but I have two huskies and my spouse has dust sensitivity: i NEED to vacuum daily. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos - super appreciated! Honestly, if Miele were to increase their prices by a couple hundred, I'd still recommend the thing. Absolute gem of a device. :)
Most definitely helpful wow. I’m so loving my new machine. Ty for all these tips. So glad I never have to worry again about buying another vacuum! At least for 10 years+!
This chap knows EVERYTHING about the Miele bags & filters! Total pro, who explains things simply. For my Miele, the magic 'change bag' light didn't come on, and after watching this video, I checked my vacuum. Puffed up with dust like a microwave popcorn bag (not good)! Using a Miele bag = no mess with bag change-out due to precise fit. Also appreciated details on HEPA filter. Got confused when I saw those little pads in the box for the bagd. Did I need to put the filters in the white plastic grid box? Trusty expert's answer: NO -- a new HEPA filter is what I need (HEPA filters NOT bundled in box with bags). Thank you!! Miele vacuums are powerful and easy on your back.
I adore my 1998 White Star -- it's had ZERO services but finally now -- 2022 -- it needs one. I'll likely be a Miele fan forever as it's been such a workhorse and I'm not exactly gentle with it. Great video.
Concise information delivered in a clear and engaging manner. The bag-less Miele canister, which I've purchased, is not covered here, but this video is still quite useful. Thank you!!
I have a Miele. I think suction is great! I have the bagless model. Never Any problems. My BIGGEST Complaint on the canister is the stupid WHEELS, which by your review videos, all the canisters have the same kind of wheel. They do not role well at all. They even get caught up on it's own cord.
hi I just needed that kind of explanation as I bought my MIELE yesterday but still don't know yet how to change vacuum bags and so on ......Thank you super useful video
Allah. Do you know how I can get the electric cord in after I'm finished vacuum. It was all the way in after using it I'm not sure how to get it back into place
I have c3 comfort powerline for more than 2 years..i definitely believe that miele has the most clean and the only dust-free bag compartment among all vacuum cleaner brands..i wondered when i checked it after around one year to replace the bag..i usually use my vacuum every other day( because i have pet) through 2 weeks in a month..its very quite..its smart on auto mode and changes the suction power according to the hard or soft floor..miele is really immer besser.
Picking up my very first Miele today; it's a C1 turbo? I have a mix of hardwood floors and carpet in my 1,500 square foot home. I've read that the C1 doesn't worker super well on carpets but I'm willing to try it out before I make a final decision!
Great video, I only wish I had known about Miele vacuums sooner. I love how quiet Miele vacs are even on full power. I think that the loud and high pitched noise of cheap and cordless vacuums is one of the main things that people hate about vacuuming.
@@PerformanceReviews wow that's around the year I was born haha, fantastic, my first time buying this brand I got the smallest c1 and wow that thing has some power on full it almost cant be pushed across the floor. Very happy with my purchase and that they support their products for 3 decades plus, I always worry with new things how long a brand will have spare parts but with Miele this seems a complete non issue 😊
I have a Eureka that looks like the yellow canister vacuum. I sucked up some water and need to fix it now. It had great suction. I hate to just throw it away.
I used my Miele C3 dog and cat 3 times since I got it. I opened the canister compartment after watching this video, only to find dirt all inside the canister and thin foam filter clogged with dirt. Granted, I did open the canister compartment several times to look at the bag and filters, without realizing I needed to re seat the bag each time I opened it. I changed the thin foam filter and put in a new bag(making sure it was fully inserted before closing the lid. I hope this extra precaution keeps dirt from getting inside the vacuum again. Or my vacuum cleaner will die an early death.
I recently bought a Miele C3 Cat and Dog Powerline and I'm very happy with the product. I'm using the blue tab GN Hyclean bags, but the bags don't have a bottom open slide like I've seen in other bags so everything has to come out the same hole it went in which can be a filthy job. Are there other bags that I can buy that I easier to clean?
Same motor and performance with all of those canister models? Appears to be. How often to those power cord winders break? I saw literature on a Cirrus canister that said it pulled 85 inches of water column. How much are these Miele models pulling?
Great video. What is your preference tool to use on bare floors with a C3? The combo tool set to hard floor or the twister? I’ve gone back and forth. The twister is easier to maneuver, but the design of the combo creates amazing suction and cleans so well. The combo tool can snow plow, but the wand is so light it’s not a big deal for me to pick up the head and picking up things like popcorn kernels it doesn’t seem to have a problem with. Anyway, what are your thoughts?
I have a miele c3 comfort. I haven't changed the bag yet, I don't know if I need to change a filter as well ? Do the sell separately and is it easy to do? Thank you
Question: for the height adjustment, would the 1 be better for lower pile and the 5 better for more plush carpets or vice versa? You did explain it with the salt test, but I couldn’t see what number you had it clicked on. I just bought a C1 cat and dog.
Hi! Need your advise please. We bought 1989 y.o. house with original central vacuum Kenmore. 2 month after vacuum stop work but that was just charcoal brush, $25 CAD but during replacing by myself I damage a bit aluminum cooling fan (lamb/amatek motor). It's working now but in any moment that fan will fly off and destoy motor. Got quote for new motor - around $500 CAD... So I start thinking for $600-700 just bought new unit from Costco, for $750 it can be with all attachments and around 760 air watts. But same time my wife don't really like central vac because 30 y.o. Kenmore hose a bit heavy, metal tube extensions, solid powerhead - all solid and heavy. Our house is 4 lvl split with 2400 sq ft total and 60-65% carpet. So she ask about just regular canister vacuum (we immigrants from Europe and never use or like upright vacuums) like Miele. Long story with Miele too. After did research about their models and powerheads I found $949 cad + tax C3 Excellence come with discontinued in 2018 SEB-217 without height adjustment.... C3 or cx1 with proper seb-228 cost $1100... is it not too much for just canister vacuum compare to $700-750 central vacs from Costco with attachments? I thought ok, I can buy cheapest C3, for example in Costco C3 complete for $449 it's have 2 attachments multi use + carpet air flow and I need buy separate seb-228 for $240. But... is it worth it? Or new hoses from modern central vac will be more lightweight compare to my current central vac Kenmore from 80-s? It's also so loud, will new central vac unit less noisy? I really need powerfull vacuum with motorised head for carpets, we have short hair cat Thanks
How come the prices are so different between US and EU? I got my C3 for €200 from Miele official website, while US amazon listings start at $700 for similar models.
Logistics, economic, traded relations probably play some part. UL certification isn't inexpensive and is much more thorough than overseas. US Miele's are also completely different machines internally. There's a cost difference there. Most American machines come with an electric power nozzle which is an additional set of parts altogether.
I have an older Miele model (Plus S25ii) was told it is/was for the home cleaning industry. My issue is my bag full indicator is on whenever I put the hose on, it is not on when no hose is attached. I have replaced the bag and filters and ran a flexible but somewhat stiff rod thru the hose both ways twice and pulled out some thick hair strands with dust attached. I tried running again with the same result bag full (completely red) indicator on! I was wondering if the indicator could be faulty? I've always changed bags and filters (Always original Miele) regularly. One other thought, my wife and her daughter have lots of hair and I always see hair balls on the floor, not sure if that matters? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
how long do bags last, how many would i end up using in a year in a communist block with 2 bedrooms one living room and kitchen, with a mix of flat carpets and hard flooring, interested in buying a miele c1 classic powerline
Really no comparison they're better and just about every metric. Even the Miele from the 80s and 90s are significantly better then the Electrolux's from that time.
My Miele C3 dustbag full indicator turns on even when I have a new dustbag. It turns off when the suction is set to low, and turns half-on when the suction is second-lowest. Is there anything I can do about this other than taking it to a dealer?
