So helpful. I’ve been trying to fix my Xbox for about 3 hours today and nothing could work. I came across this video and it helped me so much!! Thanks.
Tip worked beautifully. At first I blew hot air into it at max setting for about 2 mins on each vent (which didn’t work). Then I blew cool air into every vent at max setting for 5 minutes and it turned back on. Thank you 🙌. Btw I didn’t do any hard resets or anything like that. Just had it plugged in when I was hair drying it then unplugged it when I was finished. Then I waited 30 secs then clicked the on button and everything worked. Update: The day after I fixed it, it broke again. However, this time the white light would not turn on when turning on the Xbox and it would only produce a turning on sound. I instantly realised that the issue was, my power brick because it was completely unresponsive. I swapped the power brick with a new one and the problem was solved. Btw I had the same power brick and Xbox for about 6 years, it was deemed to fail at some point. If you don’t have a new power brick, but have a Xbox 360 power brick just follow this video: th-cam.com/video/nxFAgeX91mE/w-d-xo.html If you have some soldering knowledge and a spare capacitor you could probably fix the power brick by replacing the blown capacitor with a new one.
@@aidandunn6989 I handed mines into the shop I bought it from (2nd hand) as I found the warranty receipt. Turns out the knockoff power brick I bought online was the issue so they replaced it with an official Xbox brick
Woke up to play some COD on my Xbox One S. It's not in the BEST location for airflow under a small table and my printer, and the windows were open last night. Humid Florida night with light rain. No direct water on unit, but i noticed some on the floor about 5 feet away at the window. Light turned on the off after 1 second over and over. I watched a 25 minute video by a very smart Indian gentleman who said take it all apart, solder, check for rust, bla bla blaaaaa. I aint got time for all that. So, I grabbed my wife's hair dryer and did this method. full send hot/full for 15-20 seconds. that didnt do it alone. So I turned it on it's side and blew out any open vents. plugged it back in, boom. works just fine. After using hot on the van, i did switch to cool per this method. 60-90 seconds and I'm back online popping headshots. This worked for me!

If you're having the same issue as me, I realized that it kinda just randomly starts working again.. Try leaving the Xbox unplugged overnight and see what happens. I'm not sure if the blow dryer actually worked or I just got lucky. Two days after I uploaded this my Xbox stopped working again and the blow dryer didn't work that time, but then I left it unplugged all day and it worked later that night 🤷♂️

ok guys so I have an original Xbox and I used the hairdryer for about 3 to 4 minutes and then put it into a different outlet, and I also cleaned the power brick just in case and it worked so I hope that helps some of yall out
This is accurate method but with hot air,my xbox one s turn off after 1 second i blow air from hair dryer for 2 min to all vents of xbox it worked perfectly
Didn’t have a blow dryer nearby so I just used my fan that was right next to me and it actually somehow worked, my home screen just loaded up and it seems to be working fine now
Jonathan Lopez yeh I did the hairdryer it didn’t work straight after, so I wrote this comment. It worked a couple of hours after though and it worked. It’s worked since.
My Xbox switches off whilst loading COD Warzone pre-lobby and sometimes it doesn't switch off at all and works fine. I cleared cache and reviewed other videos as I thought it was a over heating issue but still cannot seem to find the actual cause😤
You put the hairdryer over the fan don't wave it keep it there and press the xbox button,it spins the fan as not enough airflow also if you think about it if a watch get water in it and you do the same thing putting it in a hot water cupboard after day watch starts working coz moisture gets out either way the hair dryer trick works so always try it b4 buying anything
I will try this right now. I just started having the on and off issue about an hour ago. And I will try everything you mention here. 🤞 I have had my xbox one for quite a while and I've never had an issue with it till tonight. Maybe it overheated although I have a fan pointed at it. But maybe my hair blower is better. We'll see. If not im screwed cuz I cant afford a new console and I just don't trust refurbished ones on any site. And where I live we don't have a place to buy these devices so there's that. I got my xbox one from amazon brand new. Like a year ish after it released. So I got a good deal. Anyway I hope something works to fix mines problem.
Thank you very much for sharing thw video with us. I have some questions: 1. Do you have to keep doing that all the time? 2. Have you experienced same issue after that time you made this video? I mean the thing with the blow dryer
I press the power button on my xbox one and it has this weird noise, as if trying so hard to stay on or soemthing. My problem is that when i press th power button, the white lights on and all for about maybe like 30 seconds, but nothing comes up on my tv screen (hdmi and everything is all plugged in so thats not the issue)

Damn the sad part is, thats the last time you'll be able to fix it. My xbox had that issue, it eventually will be a permanent problem. Mine is bricked bricked with the same issue, I fixed it 4 times in the past. No fixing it now tho sadly I've tried everything
So it dies of old age basically
How did you do it
Did u fix?
Thank you you saved my xbox I thought I was never ganna be able to play again
bruhhh wtf i did everything u did and its not working still
If you're having the same issue as me, I realized that it kinda just randomly starts working again..
@@richyaranda this happend to me today and I'm pissed so is there any other way to fix it
richyaranda ima try that
@@richyaranda so far I have the exact same, 100%% identical issue to yours. Blow dryer stopped working after 2 days. Gonna leave it unplugged all day and try tonight. Thanks :)
@@richyaranda Ok it didnt work. Any other advice? I had it unplugged all day and then plugged it back in after like 9 hours and nothing.
THANK YOU BRO YOURE A LIFE SAVER I LIKED AND SUBBED !!❤
My Xbox goes to where it shows loading then it turns off is there any fix
Yo thanks bro it actually worked I can’t believe it I’ve been trying to fix it for 4 hours and I came across your video using the hair dryer worked thx bro
Jeez it worked I didn't have a blow dryer so I held it up to da fan at all vents n now it's working thanks sooo much💯🙌
Tried all the power button/eject/pair options but no beeps for me. Then tried this option using a vacuum cleaner with strong suction and bingo! Thank you.
R u serious??? No way 🤠
This actually worked, thanks so much legend 💪🏼
This sadly did not work for me and I've lost hope in Microsoft. I won't be buying the Series X.
Same
thanks. it's work.🇱🇰
now I'm gonna share this post to our xbox group
Hey man, you really helped a girl out! It's crazy I can use my blow dryer for my hair AND xbox troubleshooting! Hahah, thanks you! Liked and subbed
Woah Mama! A Girl Gamer?!?!?!😍🤤
anthony carlos calm your horny ass down you don’t even know what she looked like weirdo
@@nudy4147 LMAOOOOOOOOOO
@@anthonycarlos2095 wowowo bro calm down
ok guys so I have an original Xbox and I used the hairdryer for about 3 to 4 minutes and then put it into a different outlet, and I also cleaned the power brick just in case and it worked so I hope that helps some of yall out
Replace the "retimer chip" from the motherboard. That's the problem cousing.
Here I am replacing the power supply, replacing the power switch, and cleaning the motherboard like an idiot. All I needed was a hair dryer!
Bro I fucking love you I melted my Xbox by accident doing this but definitely worth not buying another one
Does your Xbox still work after that?
@@user-cz1mk2fv8o yeah lol it works to this day lmao I switched to pc and my sister uses my xbox daily
@@louismiller5278 oh okay good to know thx lol
@@louismiller5278 You should have used cold air instead of hot... 😅
Im a muslim i believe in allah thanks to allah first then thanks to you, this video was sooo hulpful thank you
This is accurate method but with hot air,my xbox one s turn off after 1 second i blow air from hair dryer for 2 min to all vents of xbox it worked perfectly
Didn’t work for me :/
Thank you I worked for me I have 3 Xbox one all of them they turns on then off I did the same thing that you did all of my Xbox worked
Stop lying. There’s no way you have 3 Xbox’s
@@ttgNiqqa bro look at his profile pic he def has three Xbox’s😂
@@brayden3614 you right didn’t even notice😭
@@ttgNiqqa lmao
It worked for me man u just have to throughly do it like once every other month
Help me mine just turns on and then off after 2 seconds and I tryed all these
@@sstatikedwin bro same thing 😢😢
@@sstatikedwin yeah same heres
I have the same issue, but mine turns on and immediately shuts off and there’s a faint click in the left side of the Xbox when it turns off.
i have the same exact issue. did u solve it?
Didn’t have a blow dryer nearby so I just used my fan that was right next to me and it actually somehow worked, my home screen just loaded up and it seems to be working fine now
Do you do it every time you turn it on? Because i have to do this every time i use it
@@anthonycob5889 Nope, this only happened once. And oh boy, maybe you should go to a tech person or someone about it?
who else was soo desperate they got they mom hair dryer
Did anyone have the same problem but also with high pitch beeping noise coming from the Xbox?
Yea did u fix it?
Try the hair drier one
Jonathan Lopez yeh I did the hairdryer it didn’t work straight after, so I wrote this comment. It worked a couple of hours after though and it worked. It’s worked since.
Did u use heat or cool?
How do you think it broke?
My Xbox switches off whilst loading COD Warzone pre-lobby and sometimes it doesn't switch off at all and works fine. I cleared cache and reviewed other videos as I thought it was a over heating issue but still cannot seem to find the actual cause😤
When this happens to me I take out the disk and put it back in and the Xbox works perfectly
Bro your clutch
Worked for me! Thanks!
But what if I don’t have a disk in it and this happenes
You put the hairdryer over the fan don't wave it keep it there and press the xbox button,it spins the fan as not enough airflow also if you think about it if a watch get water in it and you do the same thing putting it in a hot water cupboard after day watch starts working coz moisture gets out either way the hair dryer trick works so always try it b4 buying anything
THANK YOU I WAS WONDERING HOW TO FIX IT AND YOU FIXED IT THANK YOU SO MUCH
I don't work for me 😭
This what the hell im going through at 6:00 Am 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 How tf this happen 💀😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
Same bro XD
Bro same at 6:00 am
Same here
Niggaaaaaaa!!!!
here i am, 6am doing the same shit. wtf is this witch craft hocus pocus bro
Yeah it didn’t work for me at all it’s still sitting on a no signal screen
Same
bro you actually help me tried it and it work God bless you
Thank you very much for sharing thw video with us. I have some questions:
*Dun dun dnnnnn dun dun dun dnnnnnnnnn dun dun dun dnnnnnnn*
Is what the noise sounds like
Switch to playstation or switch bcause Microsoft are greedy ast
Had ps4 for years. Never had one issue. I get X box s series 8 months later it won't turn on. I knew I should have stayed loyal.
You must've gotten your xbox from the gas station
@@cloroxbleach4305 lmao
Thank you so much I thought my Xbox was done for good until i used a blow dryer
Really helpful... mine was all about the fan. 💪
This seems to be happening to everyone, guess I'll stick to the ps4
Most of these people had there Xbox for 7 years so..

Blew on mine with cold air. Didnt work. Tipped it upright and tried putting in a disk. Now its turning on. Taking a while on the load menu but were makin progress.
Anyone who tried this on xbox one x? Having the same issue but only turns on for 5 seconds
Yes
SAME OMG
Idk know if you still look at this but did yours beep when you did it
Bra wtf this shit just worked for me that’s unbelievable ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
It’s didn’t for me
for real bro
The thing with these Xbox is as you need proper equipment to fix them like a hot air soldering station
