- Sorry for the blank screen at the end, I was unaware of the fact that end cards don't work on the new aspect ratio I used
also keep in mind: these are steps that I've personally tried and worked. if it doesn't work for you, go to the Xbox support page and look for further steps, you could have worse issues than I did

You might need to take it to a computer/ tech shop to get the thermal compound changed and everything dusted out as well.

You have a lot of dust built in it, clean the fan and boom you’re good.

That could be power problems. If your xbox is plugged into a power strip, it could be getting too low of power to be able to run. If that's not the case, I'm not sure

Try an external fan such as a ceiling fan or a small fan to help with extra airflow
I shouldn’t have to keep a fan on a console I paid 300 dollars for just to keep it on
Water damage problems definently use air compressor or wait 2 to 3 days

I had to open my xbox to clean out all the dust, made sure my plug ins and all that stuff with the motherboard circuit where completely plugged in and cleaned, and I haven't had that issue again it worked fine after I have done that, luckily I had the right tools for the job, have patience doing it and use q-tips and rubbing alcohol, blow dryer on low to remove dust.

Xbox one x has problems with games. Mine plays movies and apps I can do everything else but play a game its bullshit. This made me buy a play station and I hate play station. I played all the good games play station had to offer I've always loved xbox wth happened to xbox consoles I think they lost some money or somthing and they trying to scam some of it back by sending us all half broken expensive bricks. I spent over 700 bucks for my whole set up and I cant play games on mine I only had it for a year to. I turn it on and o watch alittle you tube no problem, I watch a movie with my kids no problem, kids go to bed I play a game and dont matter what game it turns off as soon as it loads up or when I join a match it feels hot then shuts off everytime I've cleaned it out I've made sure it's well vented ive reset the whole console. Wtf Microsoft. Aslo new power supply to.

I’m having this issue currently. I can play campaign all day, but the minute I try to join a game online it cuts off. And this is the gears of war special Xbox. Now the very 1st Xbox one that’s old AF and in my semi, NEVER cuts off. I wish I can get an answer.

Mine turned off last night right after turning it on and starting the game Ori. It took a minute to come back on. Can't be heat. I've never had this problem before now.

@@TheGamersTag1 How do you figure that? I'm not sure. All I know is it only happened once. Everything seems fine now after some firmware upgrades. Seems to me if I had a defective apu I'd be seeing much more trouble. Defective processors and ram are easily detected as faulty simply by the behavior of a given device. Barring hard drive issues, they are the go to components. What I found out is certain games can cause this issue, and I am by far not the only one who has experienced it.

I had this same issue what worked for me was beating the Xbox I was punching the home button and boom it worked
I have this problem with my One S and it is really annoying. I wish I had seen this video earlier but it began in 2017. I have bought the attachable fan and even used the compressed air but it only buys me a few more hours before turning off. I will try all of your methods though. What makes me suspicious is that it happened the day after my warranty expired.

The issue I have with mine is... I was sat watching a film one night andy Xbox randomly turned on and then back off again (dunno how it can over heat if it wasn't turned on to begin with) it was keep turning on and back off and it was happening seconds apart from each other so had to take the power cable out the back of it just to get it to stop, I hadn't turned it on again in like a month and it still randomly turns off on its own when I've had it on for couple minutes.

My Xbox turns on for a minute but then turns off later and makes a click when it turns off and then won’t turn on again until I unplug everything and then plug it back in
Recentley mine would sometimes not come on at all. I'll have the source channel on were the Xbox comes on. The power and beep will come on but no image, no green Xbox boot logo sequence or anything. And about after a minuite or less, the console turns off, or sometimes If I'm downloading an update to a game or playing a game and if I pressed the X button on the controller it would freeze or just nothing happens when I want to go to a desired tab. I've cleaned the vents from dust, checked if there was any lose connections including the power lead, and the problem still comes up. It's in a well ventelated area.

If you have your xbox plugged into a power strip that could be the cause of that. If not, I'm not sure

@@asdesdasdxc9845 I tried, I even emailed microsoft but i got a response saying there is nothing I an do about it but that i can get a discount if I order a new one.. It turns on but doesnt show on the screen. I've changed the HDMI cables and tvs but it's the xbox :/

No fixes work on my brand new Xbox One S, they say it’s a software problem and that there’s a huge update or patch coming, but I think it’s bad hardware or bad power supplies on the Xboxes. Save your money and buy a PS5 or a PC.

One single game of Dead Ops Arcade 3. Round 71. 6+ hours. About to reach top 50,000 in the world. My xbox kills itself and it saves 13/71 rounds, 12/20 million score. Wtf.
