    There is (should be) a second clip on the inner spline that needs to come off right after that first big one on the inner outside diameter before you can slide off the manual lock. (Mine was 3 screws holding the cap on) Great video bud. Thanks for sharing

    Pro tip keep the nuts on the bolts when you hit them. It will keep them from flying across the room and taking them off will make sure the threads are straight.

      Chasing them across the room is half the fun!

    Use a large C clamp and compress the piston back into the caliper and the caliper will just fall off. You will have to compress it anyway to install the new pads

    Super helpful video. Mine is a mess, so working on getting the bearings and stuff. Behind the hub the spindle goes through the plate with 5 bolts, is there an other seal there? It looks like there is on mine but everything is so rusty and old it is hard to tell, it might be an old wheel bearing seal that they left. It doesn't look like it on yours.

    Trying to replace the studs on my 96 manual hubs replaced them a couple months ago but believe they gave me a smaller shoulder size stud because it will weed out the rotor and stripped it. Did you use a wider shoulder or the shorter shoulder stud?

    Does it matter witch way you put the tire I was turning my tire right from left and leave it or do u not need to put down with wheel straight. Or do they get even both sides on my 1993 F-150 XL 4x4? I took tire out for air and didn't put tire straight when letting down truck triple beem suzpention then I got. Looking that wheel not straight. I forgot over years I'm sure the wheel will line up.

    What happened to part 2 did you not finish the job?

      Endall was not able to remove the spindle, took it to a shop they they charged extra to get it off it was stuck pretty good

    safety first... That JACK STAND ON DIRT IS NO WAY GOOD... i have a plate of steel i use on dirt at home it is bigger then the stand and will not sink into the dirt,,, just say`n
