Nice work. I've been working on cars/trucks since I was old enough to turn a rachet. I have serval certs and have worked full time as a mechanic for 10 plus yrs, now I'm a mechanical engineer (stay cleaner behind a desk) but still wrench in weekends. Regardless of experience, I still find it very helpful to turn to TH-cam now and then to get tips and tricks I may not know about. Most times, I know the answer before I watch 10 vids, ( mostly idiots) but there's a few, such as yourself, that actually do good work and explain what your doing fairly well. There's a millions ways to do stuff at times, and know it all's DONT KNOW SHIT, but I completely respect how you work. Thanks for making a useful vid like a NORMAL person. Keep up the quality work. As for moron's that whine about your vid, remember, there's tons of KNOW IT ALLS that try to do the job and it's people like you and I that end up fixing thier BS in the end.

I'm sorry it took me forever to see this comment. But I watched a friend ratchet on it, loosen it and ratchet on it more 5-6 times before he finally listened to me on this lol.

You apparently have no idea what you are talking about?! It literally shows me tearing it down and explaining HOW and what I’m doing! You should just take your vehicle to a mechanic if you couldn’t follow what I demonstrated here.

I got mad and walked away from the truck because the rotor wouldn’t move after i put this nut on just to realize i had it too tight. Not my first rotor either, i just forgot 🙃
I get several calls here and there asking me about the same thing. Lol We all have done things like this at some point…. 😂 but that’s how we learn. 👊🏽

Holy crap. This video was a freaking life saver. I was putting that ratcheting spindle nut back on and couldn't find anything in the chilton's and all the other videos just said to put it back the way you took it apart. I just finished and everything is working great. The only thing I'm wondering is this. I took the spindle off to replace my ball joints. I put the spindle back on, but I noticed that my notch for the spindle nut is now on the bottom instead of the top. Do I need to remove the spindle and adjust? Thanks.
You may have to readjust them. New bearings and hub parts will fit differently than old & worn parts.
Hey everyone..... I will have a video of this Ford that i'll be posting next week or so of more work i'm doing to it. New timing cover gasket, crank shaft seal, oil pan gasket, water pump gasket (as I have to remove the water pump again to get the timing cover off). I will also be doing a separate video of the front brake caliper replacement as they are sticking and not working as they should causing the rear brake drums to overheat and lock up. Stay tuned..........

Lol It doesn’t take that long. I’m a dad that works from home. I tend to my daughter so I have to stop working at times to take care of her needs. I also grilled some dinner for the family. This was my brothers truck and he was out of town so I didn’t have an immediate need to rush through it. 👍🏽

No, they're like, retaining bars that hold it on. Not sure how else to explain it.
They have brake compression pins. Two pieces of steel with rubber in between.
What siE spindle nut socket is that?
2 3/8” spanner socket made especially for this.
Hey WarPony, I need front rotors and calipers for my 1994 F-150. I was over at the junkyard today for another part and I saw a 1986 F150 with brand new rotors and calipers. Do you think they will fit my 1994? When I did a parts search on Advance Auto, I came up with different part numbers for the rotors for the '86 and '94. But I also got three different part numbers for the Parking Brake Strut Link that came from two other year F-150's that identically matched the Parking Brake Strut Link for my 1994. So MAYBE you can't always go by Part Numbers?
the spindle nut is impossible to take off. It's crazy tight. Any suggestions on how to get it off?
