  • Amazing Airline Pilot Cockpit View:
    ( Landing at 7:48 )
    ( Takeoff at 10:37 )
    ( The World at 12:27 )
    -Extremely cool pilot perspective of the flight.
    Approach, Landing and Takeoff at Dubai International Airport ( OMDB / DXB ). See the long approach from the seaside, downwind over the city and Final Approach and Takeoff towards the Persian Gulf with a consecutive nonstop flight over the entire World :)
    Fantastic HD wideview.
    Contains some landscape and ATC description, to help understanding aircraft position and flightpath in relation to the metropole and the airport.
    Part of a continued series about takeoff, approach and landing at different famous world airports and cities across the globe, just in the perspective of the captain.
    I really hope you enjoy as much as I did while aloft.
    Thanks for watching!
    Check out also these cool flight videos of the series:
    • Video
    ( Cloudsurfing at 800 km/h and Rainy Takeoff at Xiamen / China )

    Here is my channel description, if you haven't read it already:
    This are my cockpit videos of international flights, shot while at work.
    Aviation and the open sky have fascinated me all my life.
    Some day my passion was strong enough and it turned into a profession.
    I love the emotional side of flight - Men naturally don't fly. I think it's one of the big privileges of our generation to soar and fly by help of machines.
    I believe, this enchanting land high in the sky can be a home for those who accept it's rules. And those are very simple.
    If I managed to infect you a bit with this love, I just reached my goal.
    Thanks for watching, I really hope you enjoyed. If you liked it, please share the video and hit the like-thumb !

    I suffer from a terrible fear of flying. I know all the numbers etc. but i've actually found out that these types of videos gives me a better understanding of what it's like from the pilots view. It helps combat the feeling of no control and watching you guys fly gives me great confidence and oddly enough makes me want to learn to fly myself.
    Thank you very much!

    Amazing video !!!!! I was born and raised in Dubai. Majority of the landmarks you pointed out are the places where I either lived during my childhood or hung out most of the time. Al-Khawaneej, mushrif park, Deira ......... As I'm making these comments, I'm miles away from home & I realized, I need a vacation ...... WoW ..... this video took me back in time .......... thanks for bringing back those memories.........
    BTW ..... great choice of music in the background. Stay safe !!!

    • @Starflight2006
      @Starflight2006  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ian neil Thanks, appreciate your true opinion. Main reason for the music scores is privacy and legal issues which play a role presently. Thinking about working on this in the future, but for now it's not possible without. Other than that: Another thing is the horrible loud wind noise when the aircraft is in approach speed. Could use another mic or so, but I just have not enough time to care for all this. Many here would love to hear the communication according to the comments. I hope for understanding. Cheers

      Cockpit View well done. one question. At landing you held your control stick to the right. When on the ground what's it's effect on aircraft's behavior? cuz if you want to veer to right you use rudder right? what was your intetion?
      Thanks a lot

    • @Starflight2006
      @Starflight2006  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. The wind was kind of strong and came from the right side. After touchdown you want to keep the wings at level, but the wind lifted the right wing up, so you steer with the ailerons (yoke to the right-input) against this force. Aircraft directional control on the runway during the landing roll after touchdown is controlled by the rudder and nosewheel, which are operated by foot pedal inputs.
      Actually it is a combination of all this to keep the plane on the centerline during braking until speed dropped enough and the wind force does not influence the steering anymore.
      Cheers!

    • @ehsan83
      @ehsan83 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cockpit View wow never thought about the wind effect on the wings at landing. So you said that there was wind coming from right. Did you apply right input on yoke by feeling or there is a protocol for it? Like when wind is blowing at X knots you should apply aileron to keep the wings level? What's the rule for that?

    • @Starflight2006
      @Starflight2006  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it's just by feeling. You feel how much input you need. But for every aircraft type there is also a maximum crosswind component limitation (in kts), defined by the aircraft manufacturer during flight tests, so you would not attempt to takeoff or land if the actual w/s is reported higher.

    • @Starflight2006
      @Starflight2006  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi! would suggest you do the PPL first. If you then like flying still badly enough after this, go for the CPL, then ATP. On your way you can also obtain your instructor's licence and teach others. Good way of building hours. Afaik this is the classical career path in the U.S. for pilots. Good luck! Cheers!

    Hello, Smooth landing! I had a question though , are you allowed to remove your spectacles during the flight?? 😅😅I noticed that in the video after the landing

    beautiful video. dont like the music though, would rather prefer ATC chit chat and cockpit noises.

    just a suggestion,, love the concert music on your next video. I'd be more inclined to watch when I can actually hear whats going on inside the cockpit.

      Nonsense! Music is fantastic and I'm sure atc chatter is similar to most flights on the same route. Sorry, I'm just a massive fan of Chicane lol :)

      +Melissa Rennie I have to agree with +noleassassin but..... perhaps have the audio low enough so that the atc/pilot communication can still be heard should be the sweet spot

      Thanks! It is a CanadairJet. Just uploaded a new trailer a few minutes ago, which contains another Dubai approach to Maktoum Intl., it's short but maybe you like it as well. Cheers! th-cam.com/video/JgWk1_t6rRc/w-d-xo.html

    Really good video! But the music of the first part of the video is a little bit annyoing i think (too dramatic). The other music is perfect.

      bilshut Hi! Yeah, I used manual speed. This aircraft type does not feature autothrottle. It is an option of the manufacturer, but nearly all airlines did not choosed it, so the pilot does it manual all the time. I think you are right with the sound Quality. Will try better next time :) Thanks!
