Great video of how Captain and First Officer use their communication and action resources during this flight. Their is a welcome relaxation and at times even humor in how they relate to each other. They fly VFR on a barely visible day in a valley. Risky but they handle it by taking turns in seeing object and terrain outside the cockpit. Bravo!!!
Cockpit View] InterSky ATR72-600 VFR Valley Departure Sion. Dzięki dla realizatora, za film ukazujący skomplikowaną i bardzo dobrze zorganizowaną pracę pilotów. Serdeczne pozdrowienia.
Thank you for sharing InterSky. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing this Slaphappy crew. I say this with the upmost respect and genuine terms of' endearment. The banter was Brilliant.
Everyone's going on about how these pilots rigorously observe sterile cockpit rules, but they don't totally as far as I can see. To me it's a perfect mix of strict attention to business and a friendly banter - a great working relationship. When you watch videos of Lufthansa legend Jurgen Raps you get the same thing - the guy knows his business but he's very relaxed about it, not above making a quip here and there. It all depends on the airline I guess.
Nice to see some younger pilots having a pleasant work day :) I heard that in the US there is a problem with fresh young personal, so it's good to see that we have young people coming into the aviation business. :)
So nice. The woman first officer, she is so concentrated on the flight, so gorgeous. If would be her boyfriend seeing this video I would be so extremely proud of her, showing the video to everybody.
Super Video, selbst die Cockpit anzeigen flackern nicht. Sehr schöner sanfter start mit der ATR, genau wie ichs im sim gemacht hab. ATR ist super flieger
+crazypilotstoned *You will recognize a beautiful woman **_with closed eyes_*. Otherwise, with open eyes, she is only lovely (pretty). This 1st officer and her chef-pilot have something, what I would describe as a fresh and uncomplicated way of communication. No evicence of any man/woman related differences between both. Supposed that both are not related, they both might have a quite nice socialization in a greater family. Extraordinary "nice" to hear them talking about technical things in a way, which reminds me to my childhood, playing with others.
+crazypilotstoned how is that the happiest crew? they barely talk to each other... This much quietness would make me go to sleep, especially when this crew only talks checklists which we are just as cautious of but much more lively,
Ryan right you are:@ _they barely talk to each other..._ Thats what they do. talking to each other! Your comment describes it, as it is! That seems to me more talkative ambition than most married couples have and the most impressive thing for me is the fact *_how_* they are talking to each other!
Very good promotional video for the company. Smart marketing I would say. The crew has a good time. The pilot is handsome. The F/O is smart. Probably smart enough to command respect.
We marvel at ladies flying planes as if they are achieving the impossible. This is evident by the simple appreciation of the co pilot's good looks as if she's a pilot by some miracle.
To those criticising a VFR flight in low viz: I think only the initial take off and climb down the valley is VFR because there are no non-VFR procedures for that departure. They kept the ground visible at all times by climbing modestly and have been thoroughly trained for this airfield and specific departure. Once they reached their first waypoint and turned right I'm guessing the flight was Instrument Flight Rules from that point onwards. The two waypoints clearly shown on the Nav Display were safe routes for a given altitude out of the valley and then to sufficient altitude to clear terrain.
At time index 14:33 (min : sec) ATC requested that another aircraft remain at VFR. From the cockpit footage inside the ATR72, visibility appeared to be limited. What criteria has to be met for a switch from VFR to IFR?
The FO is very comfortable and is really a natural. She is just hand flying on the trim and chilled, all while navving though some serious terrain. It always makes me feel good to see them hand flying and doing a nice job at it as well. Absolutely beautiful in many ways. We didn't have any young ladies like her around the airport when I was a kid... haha..
Great video, well matched crew, I found it funny how she looked over her right shoulder before turning right, does she know there are now indicators to let other planes know she is pulling out :o)
i always wanted to be a pilot but being from nepal and i never had the money to go to flying school. maybe in my next life i will reborn and i will surely want to become the pilot, the best pilot in the world.
What happened to the sterile cockpit rule? It is in effect from the start of the check list, until the flight attains 10,000 feet agl. The chitter chatter is how some flight crews miss important clues that something may be amiss. Several accidents in ATR's have been caused by this non sterile cockpit communications. You can tell from the need to mute the conversation as they were turning onto the runway, and the fact that they were laughing at that moment, that what they were doing was not appropriate for the task at hand. This kind of relaxed cockpit will eventually get them and their passengers killed.
+Offgrid Cabin Whilst I understand your concern and don't fully disagree, there is probably a body of evidence that can show crashed aeroplanes in which cockpit chat was totally sterile. Sometimes the human factor, positive everyday working relationships, can ensure open communication in a team and avoid accidents. By that I mean not being afraid to question a Captain's decision. Although no voice recording existed, the BEA Papa India crash of June 1972 may have been a case of both sterility and fear to question a Captain, especially when the missed clue was shaking the hell out of itself in front of him (pathetic). It may also be possible that any of us could die for a multitude of reasons at anytime. Life eh?

I don't like driving in the rain, I can't imagine how nervous I would be if I was piloting a plane with that weather. Massive props to all pilots!
Thank you for sharing InterSky.

Great video. Efficient crew conversation and coordination. I love to watch them
Good video, thanks! Interesting how well they collaborated to remain VFR and then finally can climb "faster" to get to IFR more quickly.
Love the PILOT !!!lol Totally aware of what is going on around them.

I personally know the Cpt. of this flight. He is a very calm and professional guy. Congrats and nice video.
Awesome combination, Manual VFR, Weather and a Beautiful girl...all in HD.
Awesome! Love it. Excellent departure.
The German Air Force as ours has many female pilots. The pilot seems to be very relaxed and has total confidence in her.
@Freirad My sisters can reverse drive better than anyone I have seen
This pilots are quick, and fast. Very professional.
One of the best FOs .. what a calm flight

At time index 14:33 (min : sec) ATC requested that another aircraft remain at VFR. From the cockpit footage inside the ATR72, visibility appeared to be limited. What criteria has to be met for a switch from VFR to IFR?

I've never seen so pretty copilot!

What does he say at 4:34 ? "I want put my stick in your mouse" ?
Good job and well recorded
Thanks a lot for this video. A nice combination of Austria and the Netherlands..... :-)
what a nice co-pilot :)
They have fun flying! :D Thats for sure.
Durante la maniobra de pilotaje de avión se debe tener el máximo cuidado de no manipular el timón y sobre todo se tiene activado el piloto automático.
Great Piolet ❤️❤️
Nice Aircraft and a nice Video out of Sion! More please....! =)
Alles wunderbar!
She's very beautiful...
Why would this departure keep you within a valley rather than ascend immediately?
I love the ATR. ITs a very beautiful Aircraft *--*
+Ghost Certainly, this aircraft is very comfortable to travel
+SuperMatheys and also quiet
French built POS
She's wonderful!
Nice cockpit and nice girl. FInally a woman over there :)
Now was that necessary?
yes
DutchPilotGirl hy girl are you pilot plzzzzzz answer I have something to tell you
Matthew Bluefox whocares many women are cute. Why do you even say that do you get arroused? Thats sexual harrassment you pervert.
Khair un Nisa Nisa she is a pilot yes. Boeing 737
Great video, well matched crew, I found it funny how she looked over her right shoulder before turning right, does she know there are now indicators to let other planes know she is pulling out :o)
cool and nice video..enjoyed watching it
14:18 first flight controller that speaks clearly.. I thought they are suppose to mumble and have a strong accent?
Yep. Big fail as a controller. Not even qualified to do public address in NYC subway, the elite of the mumblers.
Is this a real video? Some are video games that enable user to design entire flights, including cockpit activity.
They are definitely pretty relaxed for flying through a valley and a low ceiling to add to it, although it was good enough to still qualify for VFR.
Hey ! :) Thanks for share and the video is perfect !
Wonderful, mam great job...
i always wanted to be a pilot but being from nepal and i never had the money to go to flying school.
maybe in my next life i will reborn and i will surely want to become the pilot, the best pilot in the world.
So you know I had to go do a FSX departure from this airport with low visibility after watching this right lol?
+John Jones Haha, that's what I was thinking about doing now, had to double-check which airport it was :p
+John Jones arent you a bit old for kids video games?
+Mack Thompson If actual pilots use it for a bit of practice or fun, people on the internet should not be embarrassed about doing the same.
Firecul42 Been flying commercial for 32 years and never met one pilot who plays it
Mack Thompson Aren't you a bit too old to be flying?
Is there any chance to get to know the exact date of that flight to reproduce it in a sim?

+Offgrid Cabin fortunately the company went bankrupt, the planes grounded and incompetent pilots fired
Nice departure ! I do fly the ATR72-600 my self. I would love to see iPad's in my company !!
It nice to see lady pilots who are keen and professional.
gorgeous co-pilot :)
man, I love Germans. They're so nice
