- I do an overnight motocamping trip to Hart's Pass, the most dangerous road in the state of Washington and the highest road in the state. Along the way I run into a few challenges but I'm rewarding with breathtaking views and a mountain peak to myself to camp at.

Your giggling are cute! I started watching moto camping videos because my husband is planning to buy a KLX (TBD) to fulfill his dream as a masked rider 😂 and go camp, although he’s not an adventurous man, but I am, so I’m educating myself by watching lots of videos.

Picking up my 2024 KLX on Thursday or Friday of this coming week....and I have to say, this video really gave me the chills watching you maneuver up that road with deep chasms and snow banks! Then again, I'm turning 71 in less than a month, and have no intent on ever riding such an adventurous route! I just subscribed to your channel for hopefully more tame rides and to study your set up! My KLR650 is set up nice, but simply too big and heavy to attempt much more than fire roads and hard pack. Outstanding Adventure! Look forward to viewing all the others!

I call my KLX the TrashPanda, a nickname for myself from my past military days, the KLX never needs to sleep, it will run on anything, and it will scurry through the toughest terrain to get where its going. Weird hearing names like China Lake and such, I lived in northern NV and CA for awhile and now in NH, but great video dude. Wonna see more!

@@dualdorks I was stationed in Bremerton on the Connecticut years back and had the predecessor to our bikes the KLR250, and I loved riding through WA on it. Its a great riding area man, it does have some slab time though, love the videos man!

That's a bummer man. Gotta find you a small mom and pop dealer like I did they helped me out so much when I bought my KLX. The dealerships in the larger cities wasn't the go to choice for sure

I have the klx 300 SM with shinobi 50/50 adv tires. Love that bike more than my other 2. It so easy to just jump on and go. Going to be moto camping next week.
Also, that camp at 14:45 or so, totally awesome! I really need to get out and do some camping. And that lightening! Wow.
You might benefit from some LED lights with that small battery. Good ones that spread light for night time set-up stuff. Plus replacing all the incandescent lights with LED would be good both for brightness and reducing alternator impact. Just a thought.
So rad! I tried to take my first trip on the KLX last weekend, but got fogged/rained out. Effing sucked! This video makes up for it though. I'm already planning my next adventure! Stay safe Homie

Have you replaced that battery yet ? Cheers from a fellow KLX300 owner, although mine is 2010 250 with a 300 cylinder/head conversion with pipe, airbox and jetted. Moving to a KLX400r as I'm about 230lb + gear. Been a great bike to relearn on after 3 decades of not riding. Thanks for sharing.
I got a new battery now. It is a really great platform for beginners and older riders that just want a simple bike

If you're in the Vegas area,, you should checkout Valley of Fire (about 45 mins N of Vegas). Nothing really off road, but it's very nice to tour on a bike.

My son's klx250s has a small battery. Seems like if it hasn't been ran in a couple months it takes a minute of cranking and the battery just isn't up to it. Ive thought of putting a 2nd battery on it somewhere
Maybe I should spend the extra for a lithium battery. I replaced it after this video and haven't had much problems as long as I immediately turn the key off. I usually get about 2-4 years out of a battery.
@dualdorks ours being carburetor can take some cranks if it sits. We are thinking of getting a 300 tho. Fuel injection is amazing lol

As far as mental health goes. I dont think anything can help someone as much as seeing the country like this. Like nature meant it to be. No city lights. Very few people and a motorcycle.
Perfectly said. I haven't been able to get out in the last few weeks and do trips like this and it's mentally taking a toll on me

How long does it take to put together your videos on average? I've loved watching your videos and I take lots of video when I go ride but can never seem to find the motivation to put it all together. Great stuff man I love watching your adventures!
Appreciate it. If I don't procrastinate, then usually about 4-5 hours usually. This one took me over a week because I have been really busy with work and I'm out at Vegas at the moment. Didn't have an adequate place to do any voiceovers, so I had to make it work with what I had.

The rock cliffs look just like faces! I see a Skull looking at us on the left one,
and something like an Anunnaki on the right one..
The skull on the left - When you see it - It looks like the damn opening [upper/right] opens up,
puurs water down the hill and over the top of the skull's head.. over time, it eroded..
That's why it's missing from it's eyebrows up! 😁

What kind of mic set up do you use in your helmet? I'm using Purple Panda and I've tried several configurations with placement and wind screens...but the wind noise is ridiculous
I have gone down that frustrating and expensive rabbit hole of trying different mics but works best is the DJI mic. It is expensive but if you make content it definitely is worth ot

Was it the bags or is the front end out of balance? Looks like the front end is hopping up and down.
If I remember right I think that tire I had on was out of Balance slightly.
What kind of helmet camera setup are you using? Where is it mounted? The perspective is actually pretty decent.
I am using a DJI osmo action 3 with a DJI mic . The mount is on the front of the helmet. I just have it bolted through but there is kits where you can attach mounts without drilling

How far can you go on a tank on that KLX? Looking for a bike for the woman. But idk if we will be able to find a bike that can match my 220/250 mile range in my norden expedition
@rickydurfee1643 KLX doesn't have that kind of range unless if you get an aftermarket tank and even then there isn't a whole lot of options. I can maybe get 120 miles at most. Try to find an XT or something they have a pretty good aftermarket tank selection
