I rode the North and South Fork Nooksack river area this same weekend that you filmed this just dreaming of my next motocamping adventure. The difference is that you actually went motocamping while I could only imagine it. Nice work DD on the video. Keep them coming, your living life to the fullest
Hey man great vid. You definitely should have something for protection though. When I go out I always have 2 things. Neither what anyone would expect. But it's cheap and multi useful. 1, a spear head/ knife which mounts on a stick without any lashing or hardware. People laugh, but my spear never runs out of ammo and leaves an absolute deterrent of wound with a flick of the wrist. 2. Old school shepherd sling! For thousands of years even till today the sling has kept bears and wolves away from defenceless herds of sheep and cattle. Which means it can do the same for a defenseless biker by himself. Few things say stay way back and leave me alone then a simple rock flying at 100mph!
I moved my head back when you were looking over that cliff and thinking "does He know the gravel won't stay on the hill and goes over the cliff?" where you were standing. I want a bike but don't want anything to do with learning on roads like that, even if they're beautiful. I think I will forbid my sons from getting bikes and forget about it, even though I've seen worse and done dangerous things in a mixer and dump truck on jobsites. I saw a video where a man was riding a KTM350 and road right off of a trail fell/slid 90feet down and He landed in water (that woke him I believe) and a group of hid friends rescuers got him and went back days later to get his bike. The worst part is He got lucky because this was a ledge and stopped him from falling hundreds of feet down! Wish I could remember the video. Be safe and have fun!
There used to be. So many years ago the hills were wide open. It was great. I've done a dozen trips east this year since buying a bike. I love it over there. I did see a couple bikes yesterday that might've been you. I'll keep a closer eye on the helmet lol.
Nice man! That is one hell of a drive I would be dead on the TW haha. I've been meaning to check out those trails by Loup loup. Gonna go scout some new trails near Oroville soon, I'll put it on my channel when I do. lol Clear cuts are harder riding than they look, all those loose sticks make it squirrely AF lol. Damn this makes me wanna go motocamping I need to force myself to get out more haha. Its just so easy to be lazy sometimes.
@@docBZA Not quite yet, did a good day trip recently to check out those trails near oroville but thinking about camping out this weekend and doing some bird hunting with the TW.
@@collinmc90 heck yeah, get it before summer’s all gone! I just did a day trip on the mtn loop on my dr650 and it was incredible. Hoping to get into motocamping next summer
@@docBZA nice man! yep I'm gonna push it until the snow falls out here. Love the Mt. Loop. I used to live in Clear Lake and would ride the forest roads to Darrington back in the day.
Hi Dustin. Nice video of your outing. I was just out that way on the day the that hwy 20 opened (my birthday ). The cascades is actually pretty low on snow this year. With that stated, early accessibility in the mountains is nice. If you want company, give me a ping. I’m retired now and could join you on my T7. Not as nimble your bike, but could go where you went here. Cheers, ~Grizz
Sometimes I get paranoid not going to lie lol. I'll go down those rabbit holes on TH-cam or TikTok. I'm usually chillin when I'm out there though. More worried about tweakers than anything really.
@@dualdorks yeah i love chillen alone out there but the big guys are always in the back of my mind lol… had a couple weird experiences out there but nothing too sketchy! Love the vids keep it up!!
Perfect camping trip! That was a bitchin 180 in the garage at the end too. 👍😎👍

I wanna ride with you! I’m in Portland. Maybe we’ll cross paths sometime…
The KLX would make a great second bike. Looking to get a Honda CRL300 Rally as well.
Can't wait to get my dual sport. I'm not far, maybe we'll ride together!
Beep beep on yer way through Newhalem. So much good territory over east, and it's just as far for me as walker. Nice to see familiar stuff on here🤙
